They should add some sort of new (gem) for occult so it makes the value go up to maybe 50-70M then it would be worth it. What i meant that example Amethyst gem drop for smoke devil as a 1/5k drop and you have to add it on occult necklace which makes it worth it.
I'd be 100% down with stuff like that, could be even from a new place that's actually very hard in difficulty if Jagex wanted to push the difficulty on high-level items! Thanks for the comment! ❤️
Gonna have to make sure Augury is on constantly for that extra +4 damage bonus. Always thought it was weird eternal boots and magus ring didn’t have any magic damage. Best in slot items and mega rare drops should be pretty decent. Btw give elder maul an effect like tbow or shadow currently have and the proposed spec. Still slow as hell so will never be a main hand but it can’t just be a d warhammer lol.
I agree completely with you about the boots! But doesnt the new magus ring give magic damage? (Seers ring didnt but the dt2 upgrade does!) Also Elder Maul as an megarare is getting a well deserved buff but its very awkward to compete with scythe as they're both high hitting megarares IMO the dwarhammer on steroids is a good place for elder maul, atleast better than what it used to be 😅 Thanks for the comment! ❤️

I think maul should be amazing against monsters with high defence or crush defence similar to t bows effect. Or make it amazing in chambers like shadow is in toa. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I really didn't feel like the occult needed to be nerfed. The problem was a very small amount of mage armor that actually added damage, and the way the Shadow works in itself. The simplest answer to this was to buff off-hand mage items as to not directly affect the Shadow. Magic accuracy is so niche in this game. Things with high melee or ranged defense generally still have a weakness to a certain attack style or can be taken down with the Bowfa and crystal armor, but magic defense is (almost) an all or nothing type of scenario.
It's a heavy nerf indeed, Occult has been great for bringing so much dmg and just being one item slot. Now you gotta bring your whole magic gear with you to get the same bonus 😂
It's kind of a stupid move. Let's say you're mid level and want to splash some money on some new mage gear, what's the best way to spend that money? Just get 99 mage because all the good gear is really expensive and not really viable options worth your time except the occult.
Them giving infinity robes, ahrim's robes and dagon'hai robes the 1% per piece is actually a really nice mid-level upgrade but yeah, it's all taken off from the occult 😅
Maybe they should put the 93 slayer req on the actual necklace..... means irons wouldn't lose out and normies would have to do some grinding to just be able to wear the occult
That's a really solid idea, somehow I didn't even think about it! It would also make it an item that pures have to earn "the hard way", I'd love if that became a thing in the main game🔥
@@brodybrown5373 I've got a 1def 50 att pure aswell, I'm slacking on the slayer part but just buying an occult doesn't really hit any emotion in me, it's just a mandatory easy upgrade that has no value 😅
*CHANGED* Apparently Jagex made a new blogpost on 18th of April! They tweaked almost all of the magic gear rates mentioned in this video!

Yeah magic defence is a weird one for sure, Jagex's solution was to make Shadow really just brute forces itself thru almost anything 😂
The occult will be 60% more usless with this buff. If 10 is 100% and you go to 4 thats 60% debuff. Thats stupid a.f
