Can you please make a video on how you went from India to INSEAD and what kind of profile are these top business schools looking for and how one can develop it.
Thanks Akshat for covering this topic in detail. With this thorough analysis we have much clarity now and will be in a better position to make the decision. Would love a video on how to improve our understanding of finance for someone trying for finance/IB job post MBA
Graduating with MBA abroad has no value in India so there's no comparison. So its just selling your nationality to be the emerging middle class of an already developed nation. Someone with 70 lakhs can rather start a business and create wealth in India itself rather than going abroad.
We need to know about the abroad mba programs with no prior experience required. This makes a large portion of students to actually get into mba programs in abroad
Very insightful video . Kindly make a video on top 1 year MBA programs in the world. And also share some lights on benefits of one year MBA over regular two year MBA.

Hi Akshat sir! I have surely become such more wiser and pragmatic in terms of selecting an MBA for my future! Sir since EXAMPLES play a vital role in understanding an subject matter, it would be great if you could walk us THROUGH YOUR JOURNEY to Insead! It would be icing on the cake!
Really good video. However, there is something that is glossed over upon by you in this analysis. Immigration and Visa's. Given that it has been increasingly difficult for indian working professionals in the US to secure an H1-B visa over the years and even more difficult to secure a green card/citizenship, how does it make sense to invest over a 170,000 USD for a degree that can land you a job that you can do for 3 or 6 years max on an extended H1-B visa. The chance that you convert that H1-B visa into a green card over those 3 or 6 years is close to zero thanks to increased competition for green cards. So when your 3/6 years are up, you'll have to return back to India, where your american business degree can at best only fetch the same value as an IIM-A degree and at worst nothing.
You can work there for more than 6 years if the company u work on files for ur green card…….after that u can work as long as u want….if u not loose ur job
@@akshitsingh1615 i beleive the context here was for likes wharton for which you will have absolutely no issue with getting a green card filed by your employer
Hi Akshat, the video is very informative. But, your analysis is extremely biased towards top-tier B-schools in India and abroad. We shouldn't forget that there is a vast majority of "normal" people who attend B-schools which are not top-tier (per your list), but are still good. For example, how does an MBA from NITIE/SP Jain compare with the one from Ross? Would be nice if you could make your videos more inclusive and not obsessively focused only top 3 B-schools in India and abroad.
Not just this one, but in general, I find your videos to be extremely biased towards Wharton, Insead, Harvard and IIM A,B,C. Please continue to make great videos like this one, but would be nicer if you could be more inclusive :)

Example - Like how would you evaluate between McCombs MBA (T-18 in US) and ISB/IIMA in India for say a career in tech (Mccombs strongpoint)?
The pre MBA experience would be to work as an analyst in investment banking, management consulting, boutique asset management, VC or some in house corp finance role. I have seen people get admitted easily in MBA programs with such background. The truth is MBA programs are working in their own interest. These programs want good numbers with placements and network. So they look for people who are the most in demand in market post MBA. However they also have some quotas for diverse experience but barriers for entry for those categories are low. So the competition remains the same for those as well.. getting into MBA is one thing and having a solid career and job is another.. Ask any MBA after 10 yrs and they will tell U this.. so don't stress your finances for MBA it's not worth it.. put a 50% probability of getting a job you dream of after a MBA.. plan for the 50% when it doesn't go as you dream.. life keeps moving no matter what happens in your career.. so play wise

I almost completely agree with the points put forward in the video. But one thing about your analysis about ROI is fundamentally flawed. Even if you earn 24 L after passing out of IIM A and you spend 24 L for the PGDM, you are not considering the living expenses and the loan EMIs that most students would opt for. Taking that into consideration, the ROI is more like 2.5-3 years at minimum. But yes, the brand value and network you would gain from such an institution would outweigh those few years of trying to break even.

Insightful and inspiring. Could you also shed more light on double MBA ROI and benefits? Let's say a student graduates from an IIM at 27-28, then enters Yale/Oxford/NYU at 34-35? Do you think that's a beneficial move to enter into the top echelons of global companies?
The guy should also mention the immigration policy and the risks associated with the countries where these top schools are located. US, UK, and Europe. In US you may get a 2 yr visa post MBA but after that you are at the mercy of God to get a H1B picked. Or you will be sent home with a definite 1 crore loan on your head.. UK again hasn't been giving any working visa post education and residency is a pipe dream. Akshay has to tell us if he has worked in France or EU post his education and if he had any issue with Visa as well
I am going to be honest I come from middle class family and I believe with my achievements I can get into US, Germany or UK and can take on loan. But I am really worried about what would happen to my parents if they can't come and stay with me later
Hey Akshat, lovely video as always! However, a major factor that got missed out in the Wharton example was the visa factor. MBAs typically get only one year of OPT (since non-STEM) which translates to only one chance at the H1B lottery (vs three chances for STEM professionals) and considering the current influx of students in the USA, a lot of students/professionals have to leave the USA after the OPT expires and if they are not selected in the lottery. Can you elaborate more on that? If not the USA, then where can these students go? Maybe a Wharton or Harvard MBA grad would get opportunities around the globe, but what happens in the case of a school like Duke Fuqua or USC Marshall, which are amongst the top USA MBA colleges but sadly the brand is not that well known outside the country - especially in India.

I have seen people get admitted easily in MBA programs with such background. The truth is MBA programs are working in their own interest. These programs want good numbers with placements and network. Hey Akshat, great work. Would definitely want to see a video on things that influence our time abroad like racism, quality of life and so on
Thanks so much, Akshat for Providing this amazing content and this will give good direction.
I am going to be honest I come from middle class family and I believe with my achievements I can get into US, Germany or UK and can take on loan. But I am really worried about what would happen to my parents if they can't come and stay with me later
Indra Nooyi didn't do an MBA exactly I think. It was public and private management.
I totally agree with you Anuj. Kindly make video on stem and non stem MBA's because it is totally a deciding factor. Thank you
Great video sir! Please keep it up❤
Thank you, I will :)
@@AkshatZayn sir i watch every video of yours to gain knowledge about every aspect of personal finance and career growth and i am currently a class 12th grad. Preparing for IPMAT IIM Indore. It would be of great help if you could analyze the course and make a video regarding IPMAT courses across different universities! Thank you sir. :)
We would definitely like to hear some keyboard some day. How can one be so talented ?! Great video Akshat:)
Very soon! :)
even the ones scoring 75 - 80+ percentage in indian UG programs are unable to make it to top 20 schools of India. i think out of 3.3 lakh applicants, only 6000 make it to top 20 mba schools in India
