      Thanks ! It's the second time I've had to replace it ( fuel pump is a common failure as well, but I do have videos on replacing it or bypassing it). I got mine from my local Yamaha dealer , not sure if you have any near you or can find one online , I'm in Canada there fairly common over here.

      @@ClargoGarage I am from Lithuania 😄, guess will have to look up in USA, eBay or so. But first, will try to fix it. I only noticed the problem a few days ago while preparing the motorcycle for the season. I will try to tighten it more, maybe it will work.
      Thanks for the quality videos 👌

      So. I've just finished working on the fuel pressure regulator. I've tightened it up a bit, checked the wiring connector, it was obviously dirty. I cleaned the contacts. Assembled. Well, it works. The bulb doesn't blink anymore. Maybe it was just a connector problem 🤔
      Anyway, maybe someone will find it useful to first try checking the fuel level sensor connector, under the tank.
      Thanks for the inspiration, I will continue to follow your workmanship. Tomorrow is spring - safe travels to all✌️

      Looks like a beautiful place to live and ride! Sorry for the delayed response, sounds like you got your issues resolved, what year is your bike ? Your ahead of me , I still need to get mine ready , hoping to check the valves and change the spark plugs before the season starts here , still have a month or so before good riding weather here. Thanks for watching and following, it's much appreciated 👍 safe travels to you as well!

      Lol good chance that's what it is , especially if you have any mileage on it. The pivot point is pretty dainty and seems to wear out and get loose causing the issue. You might be able to take it out and get it snugger again and get a bit more life out of it , but just make sure the gasket doesn't leak after , definitely don't want a fire lol thanks for watching 👍

      Thanks ! I believe it was batwingfairing.com, I've had it on there for 5 or 6 years now I think. Check out "episode 58" , it's an episode just on that fairing and how it mounts (I get alot of interest in the fairing so I made a quick video on it), should answer all or most of your questions that you might have on the fairing. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask 👍 thanks for watching 👍

    The fuel was rotten. Do you think it has gummed up? Would it be feasible to take a chance to extract and see if it could be cleaned? Or should I wait to see if it will start working when riding; or just replace it?
    I'm having trouble with deceleration backfire as well. When shutting off the bike it emits one final very loud bang. What do you think could be the problem? The bike was running perfect before long storage. 2005 Roadstar Silverado 1700cc, stock everything, 39,000km.

      Thanks for watching!, and I like to start least invasive and go from there. I would drain all the bad gas out, Maybe dump 1L of fresh gas in and swish it around in the tank and dump that to. Then fill it back up with fresh premium fuel (91 octane ) , buy a can of seafome and dump in the appropriate amount into the gas tank (1/4 ish can, if you go heavier it should be fine ) the seafome is a good cleaner for everything I run it in all my vehicles periodically , it's good stuff has saved me from having to rebuild a few carbs over the years . Can drain the bowl on the carb to its on the back side can get to it with a few extensions and a 5mm(I think) alenkey kinda a pain and not the easiest , but if you skip that part after 5 min or so of running at idle that old fuel should be out and the clean fuel should be in. I would run that can of seafome through every tank of gas till it's empty ( depending where you buy it the price ranges from 7$-20) . I'm assuming no changes to exhaust or intake , would assume the back fire is a combination of bad fuel , fresh fuel and the seafome should cure that, don't be shy on hard accelerations getting to the upper Rev range , when the engine is up to temp it helps to blow the carbon and junk out ( if you look in the mirror first few times will probably see black behind you getting all that junk out). When you shut it off , most likely the bad fuel / to low of octane level , if the engine is really hot , should make that worse , hi ideal can do it sometimes but unlikely , I would belame the bad gas, mine dose it the odd time when it's really hot , like after sitting in traffic for long periods of time then shutting it off , in your case I would lean to the old gas. Great bike low mileage, be prepared for your fuel pump to fail in probably the next 5000-10000km, there easy to change , and I have a few videos on bypassing it to get home or permanently eliminating it ( I went through 3 pumps before I Finly eliminated it) I have 187000km on my bike so yours is good for a really long time . Biggest thing to let you down will be fuel pump and drive belt lol . And you used km you in Canada to ? In in Ontario. Hope this helped, let me know how you make out , I do have videos on taking the carb off but I don't think you will need to . Check your spark plugs if the issue doesn't clear up before the carb I would think . Any other questions don't hesitate to ask . 👍

    Awesome video. How do you like the fairing?

    • @ClargoGarage
      @ClargoGarage  Рік тому +1

      Thanks ! And I love it , the biggest thing is having the toons , has radio , USB port, auxiliary port ( can use a male to male headphone jack to play music from mp3 player ex) and Bluetooth capabilities. Was an easy install, bolted to the factory windshield mounts without any issues, then had to run wire under the tank to the battery. Overall I'm quite happy with it and would buy it again , and it helps break the wind on your hands for the cold season too . For the price I don't think you can go wrong . There's a few little things that could be slightly better , but it's me being a bit nitpicky just with the finishing around the edges in a few spots but if you were painting it , it would be easy to address, biggest down side it looks like a Harley from the front lol episode 58 I believe I talk about mounting it and go over it abit . For the price you can't go wrong , make sure you get the speakers rated for water , they give an option with regular seekers , I ended up calling talking to the company to make sure I was getting what I wanted and would hopefully last in all types of weather . Sorry for the long answer and thanks for watching as always, safe travels 👍

      I had tried that too and didn't like it either . I do wear ear plugs tho , read a study that said if you ride 7000km or more a year with an open face or half helmet you will have permanent hearing loss from the wind noise if you don't wear hearing protection. Now I find it hard to ride without ear plugs . I find I can hear my engine better cause I have less wind noise and I just turn the toons up a bit .

    I have an 04 (same bike) and fuel gauge is starting to go, but works 80%of the time. My odometer almost never works, but does temporally in the most random times. Is that a censor or something on the wheel for the odometer or a connection issue?

    • @ClargoGarage
      @ClargoGarage  Рік тому +1

      Glad this video is able to help you a bit , and for the odometer there is a sensor on the right side of the transmission I believe , may just be coming loose or may just need to clean it and might get lucky and be a free fix hopefully 👍

    • @ClargoGarage
      @ClargoGarage  Рік тому +1

      And the connector should be behind your left side cover for the sensor, on the transmission for your odometer
