I have two ideas that I think would be fun for episodes: 1. Each plays someone else's signature or favorite deck. For example, Richard using Tomer's Zedruu deck, Phil playing Richard's Rograk, etc. 2. The cards in your deck must have been in standard with your commander's set. If your commander has been reprinted, you'll have to pick one. This would be fun to relive a generation of standard mtg and it would be a different way to "build around" your commander. Each deck would be iconic of an era of standard.
31:07 Funny thing about Teferi with Mystical Teachings (if Richard still had access to it): The way Teferi is worded, it allows Mystical Teachings to search for your deck for any creature card (oddly enough, it gives Dryad Arbor flash, too... which does nothing). lol
This worked out marvelously. Literally everyone had a shot at executing their game plan, and it was glorious! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
My favorite part is when Seth said “you’re gonna put that land into play next turn anyway, after the hawk. So you might as well let the hawk tuah it’s thing” or something like that 12:40
I really want you guys to make the meanest decks with low salt sum. Like under 20. Bring crim back for that episode. This might sound easy but even basic lands have a surprisingly high salt score for some reason.
Episode idea! You guys can only use cards that have been played this season. You could even do a fantasy football style draft for everybody's top 10 cards or something! And you can also do the reverse of this where you can only play cards that haven't been played this season
There was an editing error at 42:30 Tomer was at 34, Seth attacked for 2, then the ring dealt 2, and then he took 2 from the shock. He should have been at 28 not 30 but the life changed for Seth's hit but then when the ring hit it did the sound and minus life but it didn't change.
16:01 Pretty sure the Cursed Mirror/Chulane had vigilance. I don't know if Tomer had anything he could have played at instant speed, so may not have been relevant.
So Question. I love Hive mind shennanigans right. So if I cast thieves auction and the Hive mind copies them do the casting of the copies go on the stack or are they automatically cast. B/c if they aren't and Thieves Auction resolves first and Hive mind goes to another player does Hive mind trigger from the copy of theives auction they have and create more thieves auctions or am I reading way too much into this?
Hive mind triggers on cast. Putting it under control of a new player does not change the stack. So it would be just each player resolving thieves auction and that’s it
I'm pretty sure only Richard discarded his hand on that activation of scepter. Teferi won't let anyone else cast the copies one because it's not thier main phase and two there is a spell on the stack.
We did actually catch that in the game, but while Richard's board wipe resolves first, he only creates food for the surviving creatures he controls (0) then Tomer does the same with his board wipe (0 food) then Seth resolves his board wipe, destroys nothing, and creates food for all the creatures he has left (more than 0)
Wouldn't Seth still get his food? His creatures would remain after everyone else's wipes, it's creatures with power 3+ that got wiped and Seth has a bunch of rabbits.
THE MASTER MULTIPLIED MENTIONED RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Hes probably my favorite commander from the WHO set, I just wish he was better. Thank god Jeweled Lotus got banned when it did, cuz i was for sure considering getting one for him
This game has been super grindy so far but the wrath’s every other turn 😅 I would be so frustrated sitting at the table. But wow I’m on the edge of my seat for whose going to win
When Phil put temple garden on the field untapped with growth spiral, was he supposed to lose 2 life? I’m not sure if I just misunderstand how that works or not.
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" we've been very naughty children! Will Seth's stocking be full of coal or will Phil travel a 1000 miles to torch the Gavle goat? Tune-in to find out!
You do get priority in draw step, but basically only hand attack is typically worth casting there in most cases, since you only get priority after the player has drawn their card for turn
I don't believe that works since the trigger is tied to the player who took damage. You also can't hit one person with creature and then redirect the Stadium trigger to another opponent and make them lose the game.
Tomer choked hard. He should have played blasphemous act and mimic vatted fanatic of mogus, plus the untimely malfunction and seth would have been blown out.
Didn't Phil miss talking two life early on after the Growth Spiral? Nobody copied the Mythos of Illuna right after Hive Mind came down? Am I missing something? Edit: he caught it lol I got ahead of myself
Guys, I appreciate that y'all made dice, but I will be honest... I don't like the look. Can you make some clear ones? Or I have liked that type of flat matte dice in just one solid color like that. I think this every time you guys bring them up. I want some that will go great with that special edition fish mat you all sold previously. Pretty dice plz.
"friends" in quotes will always be one of my favorite goldfish running gags
"Friends" is their original f word
Spoiler
Richard executing Phil's win condition, _on Phil,_ was absolutely marvelous.
Need a lot more spaces for a spoiler block
"What's a toonie?"
"Is that a real coin?"
My Canadian ass is dying laughing
Richard has lived in Canada before so surprised he is questioning it

I realy like the 2nd idea
By becoming One With Nothing, everything becomes possible, including becoming the Door to the Nothingness.
You all are on a run of absolute banger restrictions & game types this season
I have never seen anyone lose that many flips with a Krark's thumb in play
I've never seen someone struggle so badly to even flip a coin
@@MrInithra Have you seen seth try to flip a coin?
I love that two of the Americans said "some president" while the Canadian says who it is LOL
39:37 Phil reconsidering the Mythos of Illuna decision while Hive Mind was on board 🤣🤣🤣
"Ask for your allowance."-Richard hahahaha
31:07 Funny thing about Teferi with Mystical Teachings (if Richard still had access to it): The way Teferi is worded, it allows Mystical Teachings to search for your deck for any creature card (oddly enough, it gives Dryad Arbor flash, too... which does nothing). lol
Its funny to see Richard ask what brass tunnel grinder does when he suggested everyone use it in all red deck on the podcast this week
Tbf, given that the games are recorded in advance of the podcasts, this might have been the game that put him on it.
this game almost assuredly happened before the podcast
@@simonf.3354 correct, we recorded this game before the "packages" podcast
He saw tomer use all 3 and the wheels started turning for sure 😂
@@tomerabramovici32 Congratulations Tomer on inceptioning him :D
Richard: "Phil, you are trying to kill us with door to nothingness? How about I door to nothingness you instead"
Seth bringing Chulane is like bringing an MLB pitcher to an intermural league
Tomer flipping coins as if they're chaos orbs! :D ♥
I thought the "impossible" deck for Tomer was going to be an equipment deck without Kaldra then take a shot whenever someone mentions it lmao
This game was absolutely crazy, best one I've seen in a while
“When nothing remain, every door can be opened equally “😅
41:00 This is the BEST GAME ever!!!!
this had me ROLLIN oh my god
I had so much to say about this game but Seth broke me by not being able to Snap lmao! Cheers and always love and laughter in your lives my friends ❤
30:08 Phil casually accidentally dropping a German word in the English text.... "Not creating tokens sondern the tokens entering." Feel that.
Tomer "aaahhhhhh why did I cast anything" feels like the theme of the episode
Richard with the shenanigans thanks to Phil. Best moment in the game.
Phenomenal themes this season!
Poor phil, that's brutal
This worked out marvelously. Literally everyone had a shot at executing their game plan, and it was glorious! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
My favorite part is when Seth said “you’re gonna put that land into play next turn anyway, after the hawk. So you might as well let the hawk tuah it’s thing” or something like that 12:40
Richard not knowing Washington is on the quater is hysterical
I wouldn’t use the word “hysterical “ here. Alarming, depressing, or something of that sort would be more appropriate.
I really want you guys to make the meanest decks with low salt sum. Like under 20. Bring crim back for that episode. This might sound easy but even basic lands have a surprisingly high salt score for some reason.
53:06 Boompile, im sure now, is just for the views.
I would genuinely buy that black lotus. Ya'll should scan it and sell token proxies :o.
51:00 I don't think any of the counters can be removed, because the attacked player is no longer in the game.
They can and will be removed as the trigger only check the number of counters and not if the player is still in the game
@@kofalmg3636 Yup, you're right - this game is hard. lol
The moral of the story is, always bet on the Queen
Phil should be proud, his plan worked!
Phil losing cause of richards combo, abusing phils landbase, wincon and build around Card ist craaazy
Tomer and Seth get genuinely good cards to build around while Phil and Richard get trash 😂
Still got a kill with the key card, so total victory should count.
Episode idea!
You guys can only use cards that have been played this season. You could even do a fantasy football style draft for everybody's top 10 cards or something! And you can also do the reverse of this where you can only play cards that haven't been played this season
Seeing so many coinflips, I would really like an Ultimate Guard Coin
There was an editing error at 42:30 Tomer was at 34, Seth attacked for 2, then the ring dealt 2, and then he took 2 from the shock. He should have been at 28 not 30 but the life changed for Seth's hit but then when the ring hit it did the sound and minus life but it didn't change.
Bro ramos, dragon engine is my commander for my door to nothingness deck and im sad it didnt even make an appearance
Great video, love the coinflipping energy ! Try to play a game with cards that went through standard only ! (same banlist) ! Or monocolor week!
I love the hare apparent strat hahaha, loopholes
When the Rakdos player has the most life and the most lands, you know something went wrong
Lich's Tomb, animated with Ensoul Artifact, donated with Jon Irenicus
Fucked up to do but really funny
16:01 Pretty sure the Cursed Mirror/Chulane had vigilance. I don't know if Tomer had anything he could have played at instant speed, so may not have been relevant.
This is now the 2nd game this season where Richard forgot he already used thespian stage and then used it again
That's not an issue, Thespian Stage retains the copy ability when it copies another land, as per its own text.
Fanatic... Amogus??!! 😱😳
Seems like that hive mind was missed a bunch haha.
The irony of Budget Commander not having a coin on hand.
So it would be just each player resolving thieves auction and that’s it
I'm hyped to see the one with nothing deck.
I love Door To Nothingness, It was literally the first card i ever bought in Magic.
I'm pretty sure only Richard discarded his hand on that activation of scepter. Teferi won't let anyone else cast the copies one because it's not thier main phase and two there is a spell on the stack.
No because they are being copied, not cast. Teferi only stops spells from being cast.
Oh I thought it was copy and cast, that's fair
Edited: My whole comment was just wrong. Reading the card explains the card y'all
We did actually catch that in the game, but while Richard's board wipe resolves first, he only creates food for the surviving creatures he controls (0) then Tomer does the same with his board wipe (0 food) then Seth resolves his board wipe, destroys nothing, and creates food for all the creatures he has left (more than 0)

Damn you, Some President 😂
@@Niuttuc Reading the card explains the card. I thought it was create a food for each creature destroyed :P
The Door to Nothingness kill couldn't have been better if it were scripted
THE MASTER MULTIPLIED MENTIONED RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Hes probably my favorite commander from the WHO set, I just wish he was better. Thank god Jeweled Lotus got banned when it did, cuz i was for sure considering getting one for him
Choosing the Caretaker's Talent would have been better for seth, he could have made a bunch of copys of itself and drawn tons of cards
Am I missing something or did Richard Thespian stage the azorius chancery ? And then later turned it into the world tree?
That's not an issue, Thespian Stage retains the copy ability when it copies another land, as per its own text.
@ always forget about the “retains this ability” My bad!
If Tomer had just flipped the coin onto his wrist as is tradition he would have won every coin flip.
so when are we getting a scoops coin to go with the scoops dice?
This game has been super grindy so far but the wrath’s every other turn 😅 I would be so frustrated sitting at the table. But wow I’m on the edge of my seat for whose going to win
When Phil put temple garden on the field untapped with growth spiral, was he supposed to lose 2 life? I’m not sure if I just misunderstand how that works or not.
Seth lowkey the only person to build jank and bring chulane, completely defeating the jank-idea in the process.
I wanna see this again with food fight. I tried so hard to make it work as a big bomb but could never find the right balance.
So Phil is like super hot right?
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" we've been very naughty children! Will Seth's stocking be full of coal or will Phil travel a 1000 miles to torch the Gavle goat? Tune-in to find out!
Does Richard not know that George Washington is on a quarter?
I thought you can’t do anything in draw step unless there’s an ability put onto the stack so you can respond?
That's only in untap, not draw or upkeep.
You do get priority in draw step, but basically only hand attack is typically worth casting there in most cases, since you only get priority after the player has drawn their card for turn
Interesting idea to have “new” in the top right of the thumbnail
Could Tomer redirect the stadium trigger back at Seth?
I don't believe that works since the trigger is tied to the player who took damage. You also can't hit one person with creature and then redirect the Stadium trigger to another opponent and make them lose the game.
@MTGGoldfishCommander ah ok, thank you. That's too bad.
I can't believe Seth didn't win with Strixhaven Stadium >: -(
Tomer should have got 4 treasures from face breaker
I am the thirstiest goldfish watcher cause Phil’s looking extra good today i don’t even know how 🥵
Tomer choked hard.
Door to nothing is really good with dragon engine
Monarchy for the win! Polar Bears are extinct 😅
I LOVE YOU PHIL
Hives mind completely ignored right?
Someone should’ve built around triskadekaphobia or triskadekaphile
Seth can't snap his fingers? What 😂
New episode lets go
YEEEEEEEEE more Tomer!
The coin flip gods cursed tomer because of his horrible coin flipping skills
This episode was straight up hard to watch. The board wipe meta is pretty disinteresting.

They are not the easiest to read on camera. I think 6 pips would be more legible on camera without having to keep thinking "big blob is 6 pips not 1"
