  • This is the first time I've raced here. I have never experienced mud that was so thick and sticky and slippery. I went from an ok start back to 13th in the first minute or so because the front end slid for about 15 ft. before it tucked. I saw 8th (out of 13) on the scoreboard at the end of the first lap. I believe I moved up to 6th about 3 minutes till the end but my bike had been overheating and just died on me, and wouldn't restart. Congrats to rider #637 for taking back that position and finishing 6th.
If nothing else, I gained some very important muddy, rutty conditions experience and improvement - which I need to be better at.
I also learned at this round that the AMA has banned anything attached to the outside of your helmet - like a camera ! So, I'll have to look at an under-the-visor or chest mount for any other AMA sanctioned events.

Thanks. The first lap of this one wasn't much fun ! And you can tell by the number of guys sitting on the sidelines the second lap - it wasn't for them either. lol

Boy, that looked like snotty, slippery yet sticky conditions at the same time. And I know the camera still doesn't clearly show the actual conditions. Good ole OH clay!! Great job as I would have bowed out after the first lap for sure with a course like that. Amazing to think the Pro's/top riders did 5 laps in that snot! Again, nice job especially in the 50 class, that's awesome!!

Yes, it was the worst mud/clay I've seen. And Oh, I was blown out before the end of the first lap. My heart rate peaked too many times. Thanks!

That's what thickness, #131 KTM gets trying to squeeze his way into the 2nd corner. And really at the end of the day, does that one spot matter? LOL Only dirty gloves and now he is last. If only if everyone knew what was ahead of them! Again, great video, fun to watch and not be in the riders seat.

Haha. I couldn't agree more. Glad I didn't get taken out in the first couple of corners. Thanks for watching.

Ya it was a mess, I was in the 50 +C class, probably started 200 bikes behind you.. My fork guard broke and was scooping the mud into my spokes, finally figured that out, but took 25 minutes to fix it.. Good ride!!

Thanks. The second lap was better than the first. I broke a fork guard too; and a hand guard; and a fairing; and fender got tour up when it got ran over. There was some chaos for sure. If you finished it - good on you !

Good job I would have been searching for an escape route early on!

0:54 this looks like the beginner class, the people infront of u aren’t even racing their just cruising, get me out there on a yz65 I’d be lapping people

A 65 might have been the bike of choice for this race. I'd certainly be able to pick it up much easier the 6th time. HAHAHA There were several places on that rest of that lap where I rode past groups of 6-7 guys waiting to catch their breath (I'm guessing) and for lines to clear.
