- Mr. Anand Pillai is the Sr. Executive Vice President & Chief Learning Officer at Reliance Industries Ltd. He has been recently appointed to become a Member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on New Models of Leadership 2011, given his thought leadership in the field of Leadership & Innovation. With more than 31 years of rich experience in the corporate world, Anand has handled challenging assignments in general management and as head of operations in companies such as TATA Group (10 yrs), Hughes Network Systems and Bay Networks and HCL Technologies Ltd (14yrs). He is also featured in a new book "Open Source Leader" published by Penguin Publications. Being the eighth speaker, Mr.Anand astonished the audience by explaining "How to Discover and leverage your uniqueness". "Everyone should realize the moment of truth that we are remembered not how we look, but how we touched their heart", he also added.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Hi Mr. Anand! Your lecture is very clear and very attractive not to listen up to the last second. Branding- is very important and how are we going to do that? and where to start? You're right that the best branding is PERSONAL BRANDING i lke the line that you said "There's no me in the past, there's no me in the future, there's only one me", each one of us have our own identity, this is a great help to build our own brand, our own marketing strategies.

Very good presentation. "Move with the changing times...reinvent yourself."
This is wonderful, love the question... the answer maybe surprising but finding it is key. When doing this with a Group of Financial Consultants they discovered their passion for an emotion was their driving force and revealed their unique identity. In some cases it was honesty, empathy, perseverance, the passion for these qualities and their overriding reach and living of these qualities provided them with their uniqueness. It is via these qualities that they touch and affect others lives and this is how they build their brand and find their uniqueness.
excellent talk given with great gusto and humour. The non Indians might not understand some of the jokes and people referred to but even so, it is worth listening too.
