I had the same thought midway through, but the sad reality is that this is probably 60% of the max runtime cinematics they produce can be before they turn to shit. Anything requiring actual story or in depth thought falls apart, hence why the trailers are good. They would do well with one-off short stories where leaving things more open ended actually works.

POE just showed everything... this stream was only about the new class, not the expansion. we still have to see: - The Raid - New Skills for old classes - level cap increase, more skill points - new world boss - the revamp of the paragon boards - Mercenary System with own skills and more which doest got leaked.

Looking to go Spiritborn with Gorilla and Centipede with Thorns. There are a lot of new legendries that increase Thorns and more damage to poisoned enemies as well as taking all direct damage as Poison but you gain an insane increase in maximum poison resist. Also, the base gorilla ability will inflict your thorns into the enemies. Next builds would be Rogue spin2win or Sorc with Frozen Orb proc'ing Lightning Spear or Chain Lightning especially with the new conjurations.
Yeah, Druids are known for their martial arts and dexterity playstyle where they dash around the battlefield spreading dots. They are totally the same with no differences whatsoever.

Heard a lot about how this class's abilities work. They have 5 builder abilities, only one of them is good because it applies Vulnerability and hits multiple targets. Then they have a bunch of abilities that spend their resource that they build with the builders, and some of their abilities are on cooldowns. It's nuts man I dunno how they thought of it, so unique compared to the other classes that are all also very unique.
I think my biggest problem with diablo 4 as well as 3 is that all the abilities between classes feel like the same crap but with a different skin on it. This is an arcade machine designed to milk you for money.
yea she was pretty uninteresting through the story. literally just a random person without much character, yet we let her make a major decision at the end of the game, and it turns out to be a bad choice. welp, looks like shes going to either become some crazy demon we kill, or someone we have to save in the dlc.

I should have guessed Blizzard would do something that asinine. Only bought the game on discount when S4 released and now I won't be wasting a penny on the expansion. Not just because of the woke storytelling but because D4 is the most unbalanced Diablo game they have ever released. I leveled each class this season to 100 and the disparity in power is disgusting. They have no idea what they are doing. The skill tree is overly simple. The paragon board is overly convoluted. The loot and the endgame are boring. It's just a giant step down from D2 and even D3. Blizzard is a joke. Maybe they should try hiring some actual talent. Then again, no one in their right mind would want to work there.
i was really dead sure, that a shield class melee would be set for the expansion. I mean... you got shields already in game, only for necros as stat-token. But not one Melee class with shield bash or anything... that seemed so so obvious for a first expansion.... i don't know what they're thinking

The druids formed around the time of Bul-Kathos' rule, and have direct ties to the barbarians, but have always inhabited Scosglen. I don't know what you're getting at with the Assassins, but they had proven to have survived D2 through the lore itself. If you know anything about the ending to the Sorceress character, you'd know that she was killed off by a member of the Viz-Jaq'taar. Really, I don't know what point you're trying to make. The destruction of Arreat doesn't really affect either the Druids or the Assassins. Just the Barbarians. Just like the corruption and razing of Kurast destroyed the Paladins. They have all the reason in the world, and not a single excuse not to bring Paladins back, if Barbarians survived.
Trailers insanely good, but class is basically a monk from d3 ,same ability's , but its evolved into subclass of spirit tamer and all they did is added new textured but the abilities are the same.
I would recommend actually trying the game again. The latest season fixed a lot of the issues we saw initially, so the end game loop and itemization is actually enjoyable. I didn't play since launch but I was pleasantly surprised.

It's not a summoner class, but a high-mobility melee mage with extra steps. The "summons" are not controllable or have AI, they are just area effects.

It just makes sense, even if it isn't a paladin, what about a Priest/Priestess? Something that uses Holy damage, seeing as your v demons.
I don't think anyone believes a paladin class will "save the game" it would just be ...cool.

When you want to add Witch Doctor and Monk to the game, but the lead dev tells you you can add only one.
Looking to go Spiritborn with Gorilla and Centipede with Thorns. There are a lot of new legendries that increase Thorns and more damage to poisoned enemies as well as taking all direct damage as Poison but you gain an insane increase in maximum poison resist. Also, the base gorilla ability will inflict your thorns into the enemies.
Next builds would be Rogue spin2win or Sorc with Frozen Orb proc'ing Lightning Spear or Chain Lightning especially with the new conjurations.

Heard a lot about how this class's abilities work. They have 5 builder abilities, only one of them is good because it applies Vulnerability and hits multiple targets.
Then they have a bunch of abilities that spend their resource that they build with the builders, and some of their abilities are on cooldowns.
It's nuts man I dunno how they thought of it, so unique compared to the other classes that are all also very unique.
All I know is that I heard Jagwire and my brain said "WTF"

I think my biggest problem with diablo 4 as well as 3 is that all the abilities between classes feel like the same crap but with a different skin on it. This is an arcade machine designed to milk you for money.

yea she was pretty uninteresting through the story. literally just a random person without much character, yet we let her make a major decision at the end of the game, and it turns out to be a bad choice. welp, looks like shes going to either become some crazy demon we kill, or someone we have to save in the dlc.

I should have guessed Blizzard would do something that asinine. Only bought the game on discount when S4 released and now I won't be wasting a penny on the expansion. Not just because of the woke storytelling but because D4 is the most unbalanced Diablo game they have ever released.
I leveled each class this season to 100 and the disparity in power is disgusting. They have no idea what they are doing. The skill tree is overly simple. The paragon board is overly convoluted. The loot and the endgame are boring. It's just a giant step down from D2 and even D3. Blizzard is a joke. Maybe they should try hiring some actual talent. Then again, no one in their right mind would want to work there.

i was really dead sure, that a shield class melee would be set for the expansion. I mean... you got shields already in game, only for necros as stat-token. But not one Melee class with shield bash or anything... that seemed so so obvious for a first expansion.... i don't know what they're thinking
No paladins but spirit person... It would've been more creative to make a "dark paladin" that uses demon/satanic power against the hordes of evil.

The reason we don’t have Paladin is because Blizzard said this is a Sanctuary that the High Heavens have all but abandoned. I’m hoping this will be the first Diablo with more than 1 expansion and we get more of what’s going on in the next expansion and also get a Paladin.

During the initial invasion of the prime evils, where were these guys? Are we to assume that all three of the prime evils existing at the same time is less of a threat than what is going on now because they didn't show during those events? Of course not. They were added for the convenience of introducing another perciveably underrepresented people. Just for the sake of adding it. They went entirely against what the fan base asked for just so an equally DEI artist can flex. And it's bad. It's a reskinned monk made by lazy game devs. And before you make the argument that Paladins are extinct in lore, Barbarians are too. Arreat got nuked when Tyrael cast Azurewrath into the Worldstone.

@@37thgungrunts Actually they were represented in the base game before their respective expansion was even released by certain NPC's. The druids formed around the time of Bul-Kathos' rule, and have direct ties to the barbarians, but have always inhabited Scosglen. I don't know what you're getting at with the Assassins, but they had proven to have survived D2 through the lore itself. If you know anything about the ending to the Sorceress character, you'd know that she was killed off by a member of the Viz-Jaq'taar.
Really, I don't know what point you're trying to make. The destruction of Arreat doesn't really affect either the Druids or the Assassins. Just the Barbarians. Just like the corruption and razing of Kurast destroyed the Paladins.
They have all the reason in the world, and not a single excuse not to bring Paladins back, if Barbarians survived.

I would recommend actually trying the game again. The latest season fixed a lot of the issues we saw initially, so the end game loop and itemization is actually enjoyable. I didn't play since launch but I was pleasantly surprised.
