RIP Marcello Gandini
LEGEND - RIP Marcello Gandin and Thankyou
I would not have been interested in cars if not for Gandini's designs. I always thought maybe some day I could talk to him about designs and cars and art, but now it would never happen. Perhaps heaven summons him for wedge shaped raceabouts that can carry angels around... RIP Mr. Gandini. Good night.
What a legend. I would learn Italian just to talk to him.
This man is a true genius.
One of my idols right here... congrats Marcello Gandini!

Inspiring words Marcello Gandini!!!
R.I.P.
It has been along time waiting and fully deserved.
AscoltateLo con attenzione: quando l'arte, il genio e la semplicità si tingono di modestia e di umiltà... e imparate da Lui...
Bravo! So richly deserved! Two days ago I happened upon a car showroom at night with a red 25th Anniversary Countach in it, among many other cars! My, how it shone! Not my personal favourite Countach (that being the original pre production LP500 (which I'm happy to discover has been recreated very faithfully at least once, and driven on the road (in Japan))); but certainly the Anniversary has an incarnation of that magical shape, penned by Marcello, that moved Ferruccio to exclaim 'Countach' when he first laid eyes on it! Interestingly one evening years ago I was riding my in the city when there, lo and behold, a black Diablo came into view right in front of me; my instantaneous response was to exclaim a word not unrelated to Ferruccio's! Thank you Marcello for creating such magic, and for your encouraging words here to those who would aspire to follow in your footsteps! And thank you also for allowing us in to see inside your studio, the studio, truly, of a master! 😂
If memory serves right the Anniversary edition
was penned by Pagani.I might be wrong though.
Let's not forget the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Carabo, 1970 Lamborghini Urraco and Jarama, 1972 Maserati Khamsin.
I would only think of the front of the 1967 De Tomaso Mangusta by Giorgetto Giugiaro (Ghia) or the 1969 Alfa Romeo 33 Italdesign Iguana by Francesco Scaglione(Giugiaro) to be approaching Marcello Gandini's design sensibility.
_R.I.P. Marcello_
He also did the fabulous Qvale Mangusta!
Rest in peace
Come back to Sant Agata!!!!!!!!!!
Marcello ti voglio bene.
Anyone who designed the Miura, Countach and Diablo in succession ...is a genius. He made cars beautiful, bold, sleek and futuristic. A lot of car designers today design grotesque trash. A car should always be about sex on wheels.
che auto è quella gialla nel quadro?
Dovrebbe essere il prototipo della nuova ISO Grifo
