This pen is beautiful! I have a Furore Grande in Verde Smeraldo, the material looks similar to the Magico. Are they both identical or are there any slight differences?
Thanks for this review. I may have to break my "no buy" to get one of these. I also prefer the new Magico ink window based on aesthetics. However, I'm not a fan of the stairstep on the cap. I understand the problem it's trying to solve, but it seems like a clunky and unattractive detail to me. I have no problem with the original Momento Zero cap edge and prefer it. A small detail that wouldn't prevent me from buying the pen . Leonardo continues to tweak its designs. While I admire this, it sometimes means that not buying the first generation of a new model is a good idea.
Rats, I thought I'd be the first to comment. Beautiful color. Leonardo really has some beautiful resins. As always great info, and I have always loved your still shots. You really give an excellent look at the pen. The magic trick just blew me away.
I'm in the same situation. I was sure at first that I wanted the Mosaico, but some of them seem to have areas in the resin that I find unattractive to the point of being objectionable. These are probably an unavoidable result of the "stacking and slicing" used to create the resin. I'd want to be able to see and choose the individual pen. Given this concern, I may go with the new Magico instead.
Nice pen, beautiful resin. For my taste I feel, the stair step design of the cap edge looks a bit unfinished, like it had been cut for a trim ring that was left off. Also wonder if the edge would be more susceptible to chipping or cracking. -Probably my bias from years of hearing that cap end rings are for protection. As always, thanks for the review.
It's a limited-edition from Sailor they released maybe 5-6 years ago. I haven't reviewed it...but it's not currently readily available from any major retailers.
Have you tried the penbbs 469? It's a sub $50 double sided eyedropper pen. I think it looks incredible, and I've never seen a double sided pen that is that cheap, but I haven't tried it yet. Love your reviews! Hope you have a great week.
Always enjoy your reviews. I have a (probably boring) review history question--having been watching your videos for a year now, I don't think I've ever seen you describe the threads on a pen as anything much different than not too sharp or uncomfortable if your fingers rest on them while writing. Are there any pens you've used that actually did make you go, "Nope, that one's too uncomfortable for me?" and if so, did you go ahead and review them, or if you find a pen unpleasant to use, does it just go in the "never mind, not getting out the camera" pile?
I saw you and Peter draws video a while back I have 3 pens now thank you for being so awesome showing so many cool and wonderful pens to the world
Thanks for watching!

I am wondering the same thing.

Beautiful pen and ink. I love the band. Would you ever consider doing a Leonardo ink review itself? They seem like great inks
Possibly...down the line. I don't do tons of ink reviews, and currently already have a couple in the queue.
Thanks for the review. I have been deciding between the Mosaico and the Magico. I think it is more of a choice of resin than anything else.

Is that lovely red Sailor a sneak peek at an upcoming review or have you already reviewed it?

It is really really lovely.
Very nice looking pen - appears to be well made - great trick too

Oh wow! I like that the ink window doesn't show when capped. That's nice! Edited to say that trick is impressive!!
This is a beautiful pen! Thank you for sharing David….
I like the looks of the cap band, but feel it will end up being a trap for dust.
love the magic :)

I certainly have reviewed a pen with sharp threads, but sorry...can't think of a specific example.
