I’ve a MZG 2020 Dark Hawaiii with piston and I’ve to say that the lack of ink window is a bit pity. I’ve the Speranza with the captive converter and I find it very useful. With a marginal loss in capacity (Leonardo claims a capacity of 1,25 for the cc vs 1,5 for the piston) you have the possibility to check the ink level. And I find it incredibly fancy 😊. For the rest fantastic pen. Great material, very good manufacturing in general. The ebonite feeder is a great addition in this price range.
Great review. I have this exact pen, my second Leonardo, and it's in my top three favorites. I love this line of fountain pens. I do agree about the price point should have a gold nib but the stainless writes great.
Very nice pen- with the usual Leonardo flair for design and colour. These Momento Zeros really are worthy descendants of the Delta pens! For me though, the absence of an ink window would be problematic- even if I were to be carrying more than one pen on me at the same time... Also the size of the Grandes makes them less attractive than the standard size series which are slightly smaller. But it is great to know that Italy has such fantastic artisans still producing pens. Thank you for an informative and entertaining review!
Glad for this video. Was trying to recall the name of this colour which, when I pursued Leonardo colours, is my FAVORITE of all but doesn’t come in other pen styles and I think is not available now. Gorgeous! Thank you! Please demo the flex gold nib. Wondering how it writes compared with Pilot Falcon and any other flex available.
As always excellent review. I had considered purchasing this pen for my collection but I'm put off by the logo which runs down the length of the barrel. I think it spoils the look of what is a very pretty pen, makes it look like a corporate gift/handout.
The material looks much nicer on video than in the booklet. I love the material and overall look, but instinctively loath conical finials. I'm not keen on the section design either. That Conspire (sp?) section looks interesting.
I love your reviews, Stephen! These pens really are stunning. My grail pen (if I know what that means) would be one of Leonardo’s Jonathan Brooks Manipulation editions. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity to buy one. There must be email notifications when they are available. How could one buy one and not request a gold nib?? 🤣😂 Thank you for another useful and yet fun video!
Nice up tempo review😎. I have two LMZ Grandes (sorry🤷♀️), one is the Girasole. Both are very wet stunning medium nibs, I really love them nibses. I think the Lamy Mango is a fairly dry ink. Mine was on the dry side with Troublemaker Mango, but very wet with RO Fire & Ice (which is a great match with the turquoise / teal parts in the material!). Love this pen! Thanks for reviewing it, nice!
Inkredible, this inkarnation it’s one of the nicest that this past trough your channel but maybe been an Italian penne you should do the pangram in Italian ? “ Tv?Quiz,BR,FLM,DC...Oh,spenga!”
Stephen, another fantastic and fun review. It is interesting to see the progress Leonardo is making with each new release, and still maintain their prices competitive. One thing I did notice, and I am not sure if it was just an optical illusion, but it seems that the 2020 edition is slightly more tapered towards the back of the pen when compared to the previous model, true or just an illusion?
Just got my Furore Grande in verde smeraldo from your friend Joost two days ago! What a wonderful size and color. The nib is as good as my Pelican M1000.
@@1234eyes1234 I got the metal nib in fine. I have about 10 Leonardo pens. I find the nibs outstanding or very bad. I have two which are real bad. All are in fine.
"you may or may not have ink that day... don't be so uptight about these things..." I almost spit out my coffee when you got to this point! Love it!

Dr B's Italian is a thing of wonderment to us all!
Great review again Stephen! If you want to see how the Leonardo pens are produced, checkout this video: ua-cam.com/video/--Lgz8BM7cg/v-deo.html

Grande with a piston in sunflower = 🤤. Would love it with a gold nib but damn it's a big price jump
This pen reminds me of anything but a sunflower

duemila e venti ;-) your italian accent is actually very good

Did you get a gold or a metal nib?

Thank you! Smooth nibs (with a steel price) are hard to resist. I might try - and hope for an outstanding example.
Beautiful pen. I prefer the furore, but this one is lovely too 🙂
No ink window: living on the edge. 😂😂😂
Good job please keep making
Does the nib unit unscrew? They say the nubs are JoWo, but curious if its the same nib unit, with a ebonite feed thats custom...?
Hyperrrrr. Nederlandse "snoepjes" gekauwd?
Weer een pen die ik wil door jouw gevaarlijke kanaal
Not this bad Italian pronunciation Mr. You didn't spell any word wrong, even the double T of "fatto" which isn't so easy to pronounce.
Great video btw
I like that noise...😳
Don’t just tempt us. Please do a review after you have had a couple of pints.
"Go with the flow, you may not have ink..." Go without the flow, you meant? :D
Lovely pen, thanks. Until next time, as the Italians say, chow.
How do the rings fit on the cap?
Duemila non duemileventi .... va bene? 🙂
The audio of the video is not very good.
I thought it was just me. I kept checking the audio level on my phone.😅
Not a finish I would pay a premium for. So someone else is going to have to take up the slack.
“Cento per cento Italiano”, except by the nib which is German! 🤣😂 Typical Italian claim. Beautiful pen though.
