I left my planet to join the Helldivers, but the memory of its once unparalleled beauty remains etched in my heart, a stark contrast to the war-torn landscapes I traverse now. But war, like a ravenous beast, devoured the beauty of Malevelon Creek. The atuomations landed, their metallic feet staining the sacred ground. The jungles, once a symphony of life, became silent. Man this really feels like a… The film flickers on with a piercing tone, before being enveloped by the triumphant horns of the planet he swore to fight for. As he stares dead into the lens of the old camera he had held onto since before the first galactic war, he is frozen. He’d never been afraid of the lens, but for some reason, he was terrified of it. It was, however, for good reason. As he stared into, what was now considered ancient by the people he’d been thawed out to meet, all he could see was the barrel of the cannon tower that had slaughtered 3 of his friends. “Will that be all, Helldiver?” He’s quickly brought back to his senses as the familiar voice of his old friends descendant, even in the same officer position she held so long ago. “Yes, thank you, you are dismissed, Democracy Officer.” “Of course, Helldiver.” She turns around and begins to walk away “Democracy Officer?” She turns back to the Helldiver “…Thank you…” Confused, she only responds with, “Of… course, Helldiver.” She didn’t realize he wasn’t thanking her for the camera that time. “Hello… to anyone viewing this message, I am Helldiver BT-B1-22… My name is Kaidan. I was part of one of the first landing parties on Malevelon Creek. I was part of a specialized demolitions unit outfitted for exterminating extreme heavy armor bot units on the frontlines…” He stares down with terrifyingly visible trauma in his eyes, remaining unblinking for what feels like minutes. “I am the last of my unit… We were all part of the first galactic war, we were even the same unit back then, we didn’t know it, but the last mission we did would be the last for… So much time. So much time…” The Helldiver stares at something out of frame before picking it up. It’s a framed picture, a blurry family is barely visible in its casing. “On these past few missions, we’ve been dwindling in numbers. No one told us the bots had gotten deadlier or smarter. The first mission we lost ten of us, the next we lost sixteen… there were only 20 of us by the sixth mission we did. It was a simple job. Get in, launch a missile, break anything on the way out. On the initial drop, 6 of us were mowed down. There was a lack of intel on enemy positions, so we didn’t know it, but we were dropping right into a heavy factory. One of the reinforcement drops destroyed a Devastator on landing, but he didn’t last another 30 seconds. I had my heavy gear on, so most rounds bounced off of me, so I gave everyone else my stims, but it still wasn’t enough. Me and… Xel… my best friend… we were the only ones standing when all the chaos ended. We didn’t have any time to mourn, or to bury, so we… called in a napalm strike on the pile of bodies we built up, and called in reinforcements behind us.” The terror in his raspy and gravely voice as he gets that horrifying sentence out of his throat, as clear and potent as the flames in his eyes. He painfully clears his throat before continuing. “The twins were called down as our reinforcements, they asked where everyone else was… we never gave an answer. We split up to take on two different tasks. The twins would bust any patrols and factories in the AO, while me and Xel would grab the launch codes and activate the fuel pumps and generators, meeting up at the missile afterwards. We got our job done without a hitch, but when we got to the missile, we heard the gunfire get closer and closer, Xel gave me his AMR to get a good picture of what was happening. One of the twins was… attacked by a berserker. I saw him get split open by the blades… I saw his organs spilling out, his body go limp, but not before the screaming ended… the screaming wouldn’t end. I looked over at the other twin, she had two stratagems in her hands… A Hulk landed a rocket dead center. There wasn’t anything left of her once the smoke cleared. The stratagems went off, a 180mm barrage and a 500kg. She took all of’em with her…” His head was in his hands, his voice getting shakier and shakier, until it sounded like he wept over every word. He kept his composure. “Xel heard me typing in a stratagem, and when he saw it was reinforcements, he fell down to his knees… I just kept staring. The two that dropped down were the other heavy units of the squad, like me, and when they saw me and Xel, they knew what happened to all the others. We launched the missile, silently saluting as it went by and hit its target. We didn’t notice the armored patrol coming up behind us until Juggernaut’s ballistic shield blocked a bruiser’s shot from hitting me. Dozens of raiders were pouring down on us, with a tank and a hulk backing them up. The Heavies told us to run by and take on the factory they were coming from, that they could take on the squadron… They did, but once the gunfire ceased, the comms told us there was… another Helldiver KIA. It was Juggernaut, her shield gave out after the tank caught her off guard with a blast while giving BM cover. At least that’s what Battle-Master told us, she always did embellish her friends’ stories a bit…” For a moment, he seemed happy, as if the imprisoning thoughts of the past had finally given him some semblance of hope. But it was quickly dashed, as reality set in again. “But she still died along with my every single one of my friends! THEY ALL DIED! TEHY WERE HEROES, CELEBRATED FOR THEIR WORK IN THE FIRST WAR, AND THEN THROWN OUT LIKE A BROKEN DAMN GUN, AND FOR WHAT, SO WE COULD GAIN A FEW INCHES OF GROUND?! WE DIDN’T EVEN BEAT THEM WITH THAT ATTACK…” He started to weep, his emotions had finally taken over his mind. He began to unravel. “They gave us a cape… A cape… For all of that death, they handed out a piece of cloth that was mass produced in a factory more lifeless than the bots. They didn’t get a memorial, no eulogy, no burial. They were burned at the masses and had their sacred gear ground up into metal for more worthless armor and guns, for the next batch of shinies to die wearing.” The Helldiver places his hands on his old friends Senator, a singular round still in its cylinder. He slumps back into his chair, defeated. “They never cared about us, did they? That’s why I didn’t get to see my family alive again before being frozen for decades. That’s why they never even gave my friends a second thought… That’s why they died.” He adjusts the cylinder, making sure that the next trigger pull would set off the live round. “Democracy Off… Serana… When you find this recording, give it to the Helldiver in the note attached, you wouldn’t know him, but he’s a good friend of mine… He’s a Chaos Diver… I’m trusting you with this information, please give it, and this Senator Revolver, to him and let him go, don’t tell anyone about him or this recording. This is my last wish… My last order as your commanding Helldiver. This is Helldiver BT dash… This is Kaidan of the Blast Diver Division, the last remaining of this division… signing off…” He placed the barrel of the weapon, once used by a brother to fight against the enemies of those they pledged loyalty to, up into his chin. He pulled the trigger, setting off the live round in the chamber… *The silence was deafening*
Born from the legacy of the old war, I began my second campaign in the creek. Redirected from operation "valiantly enclosure" it was to be a quick in and out. It's a simple scout mission... Shorty after they came for us. We tried to hold the line at the creek, but after setbacks, We couldn't stop them. Little did we know how ruthless our foe was. Young and proud we underestimated their cruelty. After a dozen operations in vain attempts to slow down their march, were we redirected to defend near by sectors. What started as a simple scout mission became brutal evacuation missions, not a sector away. Planet after planet, we push back. As of writing, 5 planets have been successful in the defense against the unrelenting waves. Less and less squads are returning... even fewer citizens. We spill oil not to defend our homes but to avenge those who could not. Even now, a small force holds strong in the creek. In the end, i hope to see that Creek were we remain. To see myself and show how much oil we spilled. To tell them we are free...
I've lost friends. I've lost limbs. Yet I'm still here, doing all I can. Malevelon Creek needs heroes, but it'll have to make do with me. I can only pray I'll live to see the reserves.
Why do I get the feeling this song was played during a memorial ceremony with the surviving Helldivers saluting the ones who didn't make it home as the bodies were given a void burial?
From the depths of the pacific, to the skies of Malvelon Creek. From the ground on Super Earth, to the galactic rim. We fight for freedom! For democracy! For Super Earth!
Dealing with the alien creatures, even the biggest is one thing... but those automatons... they take everything from us... May all our fallen brethren rest in peace. For we, the living will fight in their stead, in their names and in their glory.
"For us, the storm has passed... the war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight... our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."
Two days ago my brother died, next day my lover fell Today most everyone was killed, on that we must not dwell But we will never leave the field, we'll never say farewell The Helldivers Deploy!
I feel like the French Noble 6, the only player still standing, who hasn't found a friend to split a screen after 2016 (HW2) or something. And yeah, I was born after the golden age. We lost Reach. However, in our loss came invaluable intel for the helldivers. It’s up to you guys now. Save us civilians (Xbox players). Godspeed HellDivers, for Super Earth!
I joined the Helldivers for what seemed like a long time ago. I joined not only for the promise of glory and liberation of other planets but to provide democracy and protect the borders of Super Earth... for our earth. Little did I know that the training that I had gone through was only but a small taste of what horrors I would witness on those planets. I boarded my Super Destroyer, eager to join the fight against the Terminids. To push them back and become a leading force that protected all of our super citizens. I used FTL to travel to my first ever planet, rallying with Omega squad. I stationed my Super Destroyer next to one of my allies and boarded onto their ship to greet the rest of my team. We exchanged pleasantries, shared stories of our past, when we joined the Helldivers, and what was waiting for us back home. Reminiscing of the days back on Super Earth and talking about how they wanted to get back to their families as soon as this galactic war was over. If only it were so easy... We embarked on a perilous mission where I unfortunately had been the only survivor of Omega squad. I shall never forget my team and the sacrifices they made for Super Earth. We gave those bugs one hell of a fight and I still have a scar across my left bicep to remember those wretched things by. Once I returned onto my ship I stared out into deep space for what felt like hours. It was turning into Dawn on the planets surface which made me realise I had found the perfect name for my Super Destroyer... Hammer of Dawn, for I vow to lay down righteous blows onto the enemies of Super Earth! I started out as a Cadet, as did we all. This is not a message to discourage any fellow Helldivers. This is a message to rally them. I was stationed on the eastern front of the galactic war fighting the Terminids. I only heard mere stories of the horrors of Malevelon Creek. That is why I will be repositioning my Super Destroyer to contest against the Automatons, wish me luck Helldivers for this may be my last transmission and if it is then, I speak to you now to say, no matter what you have or will experience in this war know that all of our Super Citizens are counting on us. Don't let them down! Keep fighting the good fight and remember all our fallen brothers and sisters. Give them hell Helldivers. For Liberty, for Democracy, for... Super Earth! Master Sergeant Faith of the SES Hammer of Dawn signing off 🫡
I had just finished 2 tours on Erata Prime fighting the bugs when the transmission came through... All available units to the Severin Sector.. we launched without hesitation.. Remember the Creek..

As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." -admiral hood, halo 3
As we sat there, staring at the dozens of red eyes staring back at us through the treeline, did we run? Did we cower and hide? NO! We fought until the last bot's energy fizzled out. We don't fight for glory, for the pride or the fame, we fight for the people back home. They'll never fully understand or appreciate our sacrifices we make today, but that doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that that they never see the horrors that we saw on the front lines. Thats what we fight for.

As he stared into, what was now considered ancient by the people he’d been thawed out to meet, all he could see was the barrel of the cannon tower that had slaughtered 3 of his friends.
“Will that be all, Helldiver?”
He’s quickly brought back to his senses as the familiar voice of his old friends descendant, even in the same officer position she held so long ago.
“Yes, thank you, you are dismissed, Democracy Officer.”
“Of course, Helldiver.”
She turns around and begins to walk away
“Democracy Officer?”
She turns back to the Helldiver
“…Thank you…”
Confused, she only responds with, “Of… course, Helldiver.”
She didn’t realize he wasn’t thanking her for the camera that time.
“Hello… to anyone viewing this message, I am Helldiver BT-B1-22… My name is Kaidan. I was part of one of the first landing parties on Malevelon Creek. I was part of a specialized demolitions unit outfitted for exterminating extreme heavy armor bot units on the frontlines…”
He stares down with terrifyingly visible trauma in his eyes, remaining unblinking for what feels like minutes.
“I am the last of my unit… We were all part of the first galactic war, we were even the same unit back then, we didn’t know it, but the last mission we did would be the last for… So much time. So much time…”
The Helldiver stares at something out of frame before picking it up.
We didn’t have any time to mourn, or to bury, so we… called in a napalm strike on the pile of bodies we built up, and called in reinforcements behind us.”
The terror in his raspy and gravely voice as he gets that horrifying sentence out of his throat, as clear and potent as the flames in his eyes.
She took all of’em with her…”
His head was in his hands, his voice getting shakier and shakier, until it sounded like he wept over every word.
At least that’s what Battle-Master told us, she always did embellish her friends’ stories a bit…”
For a moment, he seemed happy, as if the imprisoning thoughts of the past had finally given him some semblance of hope.
WE DIDN’T EVEN BEAT THEM WITH THAT ATTACK…”
He started to weep, his emotions had finally taken over his mind. He began to unravel.
“They gave us a cape… A cape… For all of that death, they handed out a piece of cloth that was mass produced in a factory more lifeless than the bots. They didn’t get a memorial, no eulogy, no burial. They were burned at the masses and had their sacred gear ground up into metal for more worthless armor and guns, for the next batch of shinies to die wearing.”
The Helldiver places his hands on his old friends Senator, a singular round still in its cylinder. He slumps back into his chair, defeated.
“They never cared about us, did they? That’s why I didn’t get to see my family alive again before being frozen for decades. That’s why they never even gave my friends a second thought… That’s why they died.”
He adjusts the cylinder, making sure that the next trigger pull would set off the live round.
This is Helldiver BT dash… This is Kaidan of the Blast Diver Division, the last remaining of this division… signing off…”
He placed the barrel of the weapon, once used by a brother to fight against the enemies of those they pledged loyalty to, up into his chin. He pulled the trigger, setting off the live round in the chamber…
*The silence was deafening*
I came just to point it out, but you got it in the description. H3: ODST art still goes hard, to this day.
Two decades of playing halo and I’m glad people are actually for once coming together when it comes to video games like this.
We will retake the creek with courage and honor keep fighting HELLDIVERS
I've lost friends. I've lost limbs. Yet I'm still here, doing all I can. Malevelon Creek needs heroes, but it'll have to make do with me. I can only pray I'll live to see the reserves.
Nice emblem
Why do I get the feeling this song was played during a memorial ceremony with the surviving Helldivers saluting the ones who didn't make it home as the bodies were given a void burial?
Accidentally dropped an eagle airstreak at my feet. As im running for what could be my life, I look back at all the bots and think “sweet liberty”
we deserve another odst game and it should be somber, gritty and deep.
An actual good edit for Helldivers 2? Legit.
Love it
i love it how he used the halo 3 ending scene speech and the halo wars trailer music for Helldivers 2
Halo and Hell divers need a cross over
never forget the creek
From the depths of the pacific, to the skies of Malvelon Creek. From the ground on Super Earth, to the galactic rim. We fight for freedom! For democracy! For Super Earth!
It was only the beginning...
A man dedicated to his passions made this - I see you King.
Let us hold up a ol’ cup o’ Jin for those fallen comrades lost to those magnificent plains of Malevelon Creek.
There will be a memorial service for those Helldivers we lost during the first battle of the creek.
Dealing with the alien creatures, even the biggest is one thing... but those automatons... they take everything from us... May all our fallen brethren rest in peace. For we, the living will fight in their stead, in their names and in their glory.
Imagine they do a crossover if this game releases on Xbox and a bunch of ODST like drop pods come in to back up their helldiver brothers
Here after we just took the Creek. Never forget.
I fuckin love this song and the E3 trailer for Halo Wars 2.
BRO THIS ODST THUMBNAIL HITS DIFFERENT!!
This we shall defend. Malevelon creek will be liberated! Godspeed Helldivers, the super citizens support you!
We lost the creek…
This is the best roleplay i have ever seen
"Their decision required courage beyond measure. A sacrifice, an unshakeable conviction that their fight... our fight was elsewhere."
Remember the Creek.
those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return are most certainly forgotten quite quickly
But a hill in Africa shall remain barren to remember their deeds and sacrifice
POV: The Automaton front is won.
Man that’s a long time coming. It’s been a hellish front
@@cucadefrijoles735we have not won against them yet and we won’t for a while but we are gaining ground
Two days ago my brother died, next day my lover fell
Today most everyone was killed, on that we must not dwell
But we will never leave the field, we'll never say farewell
The Helldivers Deploy!
Bro this is art
Like this is more then a meme
I feel like the French Noble 6, the only player still standing, who hasn't found a friend to split a screen after 2016 (HW2) or something. And yeah, I was born after the golden age. Sometimes I wanna forget that I'm crazy in love with this universe, but I just can't
HW2 trailer music makes you too emotional I swear
Or maybe it's 3 am
We're glassing Malevelon Creek with this one
Visiting this song again on this Sorrowful weekend.
For Reach, I will retake the creek.
We lost Reach. However, in our loss came invaluable intel for the helldivers. It’s up to you guys now. Save us civilians (Xbox players). Godspeed HellDivers, for Super Earth!
“If we run now we’ll be leaving the Galaxy at the hands of monsters. So no Citizen, we won’t be running anywhere.”
This is amazing, I love it!
I need more halo/Helldivers content to fill the halo void in my heart..... Been playing Halo for 18 years....
The game is so fun you get how dark the lore is
As a helldivers 1 vet, it's nice to see vets from halo and other games haha, this is so awesome!
WE FUCKING DID IT BOYS
THE BOTS HAVE BEEN ERADICATED FROM SUPER EARTH SPACE
We coming straight out of the drop pod with this one
Sony got their "Halo Killer". Long after Halo had died.
put the final nail in an already buried coffin
The creek is now firmly in automaton hands, we will push them back for our fallen comrades. Join the fight enlist today
The Halo ODST time has passed… it’s now the HELLDIVERS time to jump in first into hell.
That thumbnail kinda tripped me out for a second.
With every day, greens getting lesser and lesser... One way or another...
This should play on the tv in your ship
We really need this in xbox
I was there on the Creek that day…the day Democracy lost… and though we may have lost, Democracy still stands
Lost but not beaten
Feet first into hell, Helldivers.
"Divers, we are green and very, VERY mean!"
man I love halo 3 ODST I miss it
I love that Helldivers is like an unofficial/headcannon ODST game lmao
Gotta cash in my vacation time from Hoxxes to fight for Super Earth
The *Creek* gonna look like Titan-Fall-2 when the Mech Update arrives
for those who want the whole speech... They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." -admiral hood, halo 3
I forgot Ron Perlman played a character in Halo lmao
space marines, crysis, starship trooper and halo fans after finaly getting a game they deserve
Helljumpers and helldivers unite ✊
Tribute to the fallen brothers of Malevelon Creek
Helldivers, in the tube!
