@Karan Yt Australia has twice the land area of India and only 25 million people. It also has vast areas that are desert and a thinly spread population except in the coastal areas -especially Eastern Australia.. Since the 1960's the car has reigned supreme in Australia and airline travel is very popular - at least pre Covid but I am sure it will all get going again once solutions have been found to the virus.. We have some modern trains but on the whole they are slow compared to Indian trains. The Indian people seem to have a deep love for trains which is rare in Australia. I wish we appreciated trains in this country the way you do. Gary.
India has millions packed everywhere.. there is no other way to move the population. And the speed is just to escape from the difficulties of the journey as quickly as possible..
