Thanks for the explanation of legato. I notice that singing quality in the pieces i enjoy the most to listen to, and also the resonance which allows the sound to travel more effectively out to the audience.
This has come at just the right time for me. I started with an approachable simple structure for a practice routine and it has..just grown by itself. It was only yesterday that I recognised there is no way - even with the time I can now spend under Lockdown - that I can really work it at all in one practice - and really it's a series of options - which I need to handle over a series of practice sessions. At least it offers variety to them but it is so unstructured by comparison to this. Thanks Karmen for your ideas.
Thank you, Karmen! I like the sound you were getting from the stereo microphone setup. I wonder if we could hear you play some using that spacing - plus I'm curious what brand of microphone they are.
There is a lot of good advice in this video. Originally, I was a flute player and, just like a singer, I look for the breath marks. Of course there are no breath marks in guitar music. However, I add them in order to make the music breathe. I have one question that was bothering me throughout the video: how is the guitar attached to you? It almost looks like it is suspended buy must be attached between the guitar and the player. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing an excellent tool to help one focus on what to practice. Question, is to important to master the 4 main pillars/items on the circle of practice before moving on to the other 16 minor items?
Guys, would you please stop commenting on her looks and start taking serious what she is talking about? This is not about your romantic feelings. Show some respect. That said, the circle seems to be a very helpful concept. Thanks for sharing.
My problem is when i played a piece its acceptable to my ear but when i record it then listen to it... It sound so horrible 😂 makes me wonder if is it possible that the cause is the quality of a cheap guitar?😀
I thought so once. I was lucky knowing a good guitarist at the time. He picked the thing up and played a little. Thus I learned, it wasn't the guitar that sucked. It was myself. Of course that does not mean it is always so.
Can I have a square of practice? Or a Triangle of practice. The triangle is the most secure geometric shape and it points up like flames: either passion or fire that produces light. The three sides could represent 3 times during the day that I practice. The morning, afternoon, and evening -- I don't practice in my sleep. A hexagon could work too and I'd rather have something other than a circle where you can't confuse it with the circle of fifths. You don't want to be going in circles unless it is productive, unless it's like a roundabout where you can get somewhere where you are going to. Just saying...
You so beautiful Karmen! I would leave my guitar one and only true love to have you meets me 😉 but since this is not happening due to Nyc-Berlin distance I will not say anything to my baby love my guitar!!
THANK YOU! so many detailed points and approaches to playing that i never fully dis-assembled to improve individually. This is GREAT!!!

Invaluable for not only guitar but for life in general. Wonderful.

Wow, amazing lesseon by Mrs. Stendler and a great tip by Mr. Müller-Pering! Thanks a lot!
The 2 1/2 months shipping was worth the wait for your CD, Your FIRST Olympic gold medal :)
Great notes by Karmen who's so influential to me as a guitarist, particularly the tips on legato technique for melody and use of dynamics.
Thank you very much, I am an amateur and many times get frustrated because of my sound. Now I have a line or circle to work out to improve my playing.
Really good. Thanks 🙏🏻
*Another informative video right here.*
Thanks, Karmen!
Thank you Karmen!! 👏👏👏🤗
Very good idea. It will be fun to customize the circle for me.
Beautiful

Thank you_Siccas Guitars + Karmen Stendler
Hey! Is there a written essay or publication of this method? Would love to use it in my final thesis/dissertation at university
Great. Thank you!

Glad to see that I am not the only one who can have FINGERINGS turn into ANGERINGS.
