Another really sad thing about Rootpaw. Needlekit was named after Needletail and looks more like Violetshine. Rootpaw was named after roots. The *roots* of a *Tree* and he looks more like Tree. Even as a kit he was expected to be like his father. And this was mostly for his *looks*

I can also relate since I have autism and social anxiety, but with antisocial and anger issues. whenever I'm in school, I always have a feeling that everyone will judge me, make fun of me, bother me, or ruining my drawings. When I had a friend which is a small girl (which I going to kept her as annoyances) and it takes places when I was 4th grade. we were best friends, but one time she got mad at me, but I forgive her and once we got to 7th grade, I show her my drawing.
She accused me in a disturbing way of trying to take the teachers hearts out which I WASN'T GOING TOO!!
Sorry, anyways I felt very backstabbed, betrayed, and raged and when we met again in PE and takes places in 8th grade, she called by plushie "dumb and pathetic" That was the last straw and that was the last time I ever talked to her and I felt like I can't trust anyone to be my friend which led me to get my anger issues, social anxiety, and antisocial. Now that I had new friends and told me about my friendship past, they totally understand what I been though.
And yes I do love drawing and I love drawing cats and animals since I'm a huge animal lover.
This made me cry. I can relate to Rootpaw so much and the things that happen to him. Love your channel! ♡

Wow, I never really realized how much I could relate to Rootpaw until now. I personally chased after a lot of people’s kindness and made myself seem like a clingy and obsessive fool. Social anxiety sucks 😔
YESYESYESYESYES!!!!!!!1 this is exactly how i felt about rootpaw while reading, and seeing the communitys reaction to him bothered me so much because i had EXTREMEEEELY similar experiences in middle school & early high school. anxiety sucks: it makes you awkward and unlikeable. its refreshing to see a character with the same kind of anxiety i have

Wow, I can't believe I came across a warrior cat video. I remember when I was little and watched all these warrior cat videos. The surprising thing why I clicked on this video was because when I was younger I used to have a OC called RootPaw with the same exact color pelt (different eyes) and almost same personality traits expect my RootPaw was more of a I guess brave and strong and social. It brings back sooooo much memories. Nice video too!!!!!!

I relate to Rootpaw, not just because I have social anxiety but also because I have abandonment anxiety. When someone is even just a little bit nice to me, I think I'm in love with them. I'm 21 btw almost 22 and I still struggle to break out of being too attached to people. I was emotionally manipulated and abused(in more ways than one) by people I thought loved me. It's hard for me to keep friends if I even make them.

Shattered Sky was fantastic! Also, Darktail is a great villain and I highly recommend finishing out the series
I didn’t realize how much I am like rootpaw until watching this video I am very socially awkward and whenever someone shows the slightest bit of kindness to me I instantly want to be friends with them but I am so awkward around them

I'm re-watching this video after going through a lot of emotional struggles myself like self-doubt and anxiety because I think I'm either too shut off or too dramatic. I truly relate to and love this poor bean and seeing him grow into a confident warrior will be the most satisfying thing to ever exist. ^^

I find Rootpaw more enjoyable to read than Jayfeather. I can relate to his struggles of being bullied, and he’s less bratty and doesn’t have a superiority complex.
I haven't read the book yet (for the simple reason that we're at DotC in my country) so I'm basing my opinion by what you're saying and it might change when actually reading the book.
But I really hope Rootpaw won't end up ith Bristlefrost. If he's so desperate for her jut because she showed basic kindness to him that doesn't sound like an healthy relationship for him, no matter how kind she'll be to him.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who read Rootpaw as someone with social anxiety. I kinda see parts of a younger me in him.
As someone who is very social anxious at times, I definitely understand how Rootpaw feels and up until Lost Stars, I was really annoyed with how easily every main character built relationships and could easily talk to other people when it really isn't easy. Well, for me at least.
Edit: I've finished the video now and what Akira described about himself, I've got to say I have a lot of the same problems and it nice to know I'm not the only one. :)
I never realized how much I actually related to RootPaw.
I relate a ton to rootpaw. Cuz growing up I was like rootpaw. Didn’t understand how to make friends and isolate myself when I was a kid. Was bullied and beat up my bullies. Though that didn’t make anything better. Bullies left me alone but then everyone did cuz of the beat down I dished out. So just hung out at the libraries reading alone. During recess I always had a book to read. Even during lunch. Didn’t have any friends and still don’t. My trust in people is gone

Rootpaw is basically meh in warrior cat form. Right now, I’d say I’m around his emotional development stage. We both have mAsSiVe crushes on someone. I am VERY socially insecure and don’t really have that many friends..so yeah, guess I’m half Rootpaw and half Blossomfall :P great video too!

I have ADHD which makes it hard for me to make friends. I infact only have one true friend and their anoying little bratty friend who i had to spend an ENTIRE year with without my true friend. I really hope that Rootpaw can make some friends someday.

Rootpaw is basically me, cause I have social anxiety and worry about fitting in sometimes, and many people have misinterpreted it for snobby ness, also people seem to think I’m weird which is probably 50% true or probably more but hey can’t everyone be a little weird sometimes? So yeah I get what Rootpaw is feeling minus the romance.
