The Timbco tracked fellerbuncher or harverster can safely cut several trees before dropping them for the skidders to pick them up. The saw head has a heavy weighted saw blade that maintains momentum as the tree is cutting and actuating arms to hold the tree(s) in place.
This timber sale is going out for pulp wood species include; balsam, paper birch, sugar maple, and poplar. Live trees left standing are red and white pines. Most dead trees are left standing also to provide homes and shelter for wildlife.
