  • Hey guys this is the review and demonstration on the kick arse 12 V electric blanket ,as you know I received this product from Australian direct for testing purposes,and to tell you what I think I’ve been using it in the camper and checking out what voltage or amperage it uses .I have been really impressed with how it has performed it has minimal drain on my 128 amp Battery system in my camper trailer, I have no worries about turning it on and getting our bed warm on those cold nights, I hope you enjoy like a Ways if you have any questions leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you ,if you want to check this product out there is a link below thanks for watching don’t forget to like and subscribe and I’ll see you on the next one cheers .

    Thanks for this informative review. I was wondering how I might connect an electric blanket from my RTT mounted on top my car to the battery fixed to the floor behind the passenger seat. You provided the answer: Anderson plug to cig lighter extension cord. Whoop whoop. 👍

    Good review. I just picked up an electric blanket but have yet to try it. Either the world is getting colder or I am getting older too quickly. Or both. haha.

    Great review Mate, I wished I had got the Kickass one now.I got the Aldi one just off or full power but now worry about the plug in 1/2 hour got very hot.

      Thanks I haven’t had a chance to test out the Aldi’s blanket but I have a mate who did and he said yeah it gets really hot I do prefer having a switch that turns off after 45 minutes gives you peace of mind and if you get cold, just turn it back on again and having three temperature settings is a bonus I only ever use it on the lowest setting I find that’s warm enough 🇦🇺👍

    Hi there, just wondering if you can put an electric blanket on a self inflating mattress without damaging it, and also, how did you not damage your sleeping bag outer material by using the blanket underneath your sleeping bags? Thanks

    Just curious if you possibly ever tried to run two kickass heated blankets on a double 12 volt outlet splitter?

    • @Sawadventures67
      @Sawadventures67  11 місяців тому +1

      No, I never tried it, but you could possibly do it if you had a good enough Setup and the correct amperage sockets, you would not want to overheat the wiring system

  • @markbanks59

    Does the blanket have the heater element through the whole blanket or just half of the blanket area?

    Got 2 of these yesterday. On high after 40 minutes I can barely feel the heat. Really disappointed with this product if that's how it works. You get some heat at the cable end, but the heat does not go through the entire blanket. In fact I came back after 45 minutes and it had switched off per instructions...but there wasn't even any heat on the bed lol...terrible. Warranty raised in the event I have a dud.

      Thanks for letting me know. I’ve had mine for a few years now. Haven’t had any trouble with it. It heats up pretty good but you never know. They could have changed supplier or anything. Hope you get it sorted out. If you don’t let me know. I’ll see if I can talk to someone, cheers

    • @Portyhouse

      @@Sawadventures67 Mate how do you run it into the RTT? I think that's the issue as it's now heating off my car's cig socket or a cig socket I have off my second battery but if I run an anderson to my RTT where I have a cig socket and some USB's it doesn't heat up. I've got 12awg wire but thinking I need heavier, even though it only pulls 4-5amps on high maybe it's sensitive to voltage drops...Have tested 3 of them? So would be interested to know what gauge wire you run up to those 2 cig sockets in your RTT.....cheers :).

      I don’t have my rooftop tent any more and the electric blanket. I just plug into my Jack power station. It has a 10 amp cigarette lighter socket apart from that probably better talking to an electrician.

    i bought 2 of these and just received them. I can't get the temperature to go above 80 degrees on either one and that is in a 72 degree room. WHat temperature were you able to get yours to? Other blankets state 100-130 degrees f so not sure if this will be good unless I got 2 defective blankets or maybe this is the temperature
