This is actually really informative- it gives me ideas for what colors I would want to add to my collection, and what colors would end up being redundant. Even with the color codes it's hard to tell what a color is actually going to look like irl, if you order it online!
Baylee I have to say that your art is improving. I feel as do you are discovering your style and how to really work it. I love your painting at the end. From the composition to the colouring, it really came to life.

I actually only have the odds for the greys, and I only have Cool and Warm. But I really love using them! And I only have some of these colours, but most of the ones you included that I actually have, I also use em a lot!
I love this video! I struggle with blending BG10 and BG 13/15 - I thought BG11 would be a nice bridge between them, but it's almost the same as BG10. These are probably my fav colours, so sad. I'm happy to see they made your list too! :)

You should do a tutorial on how you color with copics and why you use the markers in certain ways, for example, laying a base coat layer first, leaving your rim light when you shade and additional layering. Would be a nice video, I would try your book but I just learn more by watching vs reading.
The less saturated and deeper YG colors are my favorites, YG 40s,60s and 90s, very warm natural turtle mossy hazel limepeel ochre green hues.. beautiful colors
I've just stopped this half way through to say that this is such a great video. Thank you. I've recently bought a selection of 50 or so Copics and this is just so useful for me. The only trouble is that I'll now have to purchase more!
I love using BV31 to add a soft lilac shading to things like skin and clothes to set the mood. :)c I also prefer using light, desaturated colors because they tend to harmonize more than really saturated ones, even if there are many colours in the picture. Guess in my next order I'll have to include RV34 and some other colors you mentioned, so this was really helpful, thanks!

I cannot for the life of me get these copic to blend but just watched you color and I see not all your colors blend now please don’t take that as a negative it’s hard to write what I’m trying to say. I think you are a great artist I am only a card maker. I use to do decorative painting and was taught everything had to blend so you didn’t see where one line started and one ended if that makes sense so I think I have been trying to do the same with the markers but watching videos that’s not the case Hope I explained what I was trying to say and it didn’t come off negative because I love your work hugs
My first color to run out of ink was E00 and that makes seance since I often make pink skinetones. Also when I saw E7 my fist reaction was "Oh, THAT is Baylees colours." Your art is so nice.

Here is a cool series idea. What if you did a drawing using colors from only one family. A drawing using only blues. Then one using only warm grays. Of course you don't need to use all the colors in the color family, but you can only use the colors from that family. It would be fun
Because of you Bayley I have an addiction to Copic Markers lol. I love them so much. I refuse to pay full price for them unless it's a color that I have been using a lot recently and I can't get my hand on a refill of said color and I go and pay 8 bucks (US currency) for it. I usually either get them in sets of 6 from Michaels with a 50% off coupon or I just order them from Jerry's Artarama. The other day I was just looking at refills on Michaels just to see and they wanted 9 bucks and Jerry's only wants half that!! But I am with you about collecting all the colors lol.
The B90’s and any of the 0000-00 colors are my go-to colors as well! I prefer the cool grays personally when it comes to the sets of gray though to be honest I’ll just pick whichever set would work with my compositions XD I’m also a completionist, gotta catch all them colors pfffff

The bv 20s are definitely a favorite for me, I remember doing a monochrome vampire boy with those colors, best idea I ever had! Actually.... I think that’s the only good coloring idea I’ve ever had......... 😀☹️😞
Thanks for this video I wish I found it 2 years ago when I started my collection, randomly brought some very far colors and was struggling with the 3 markers for example one light red, one medium red then one darker, i did picked my colors carefully but it got harder after a year especially picking them at the store. This makes it more easier to choose on the colors you cant really tell based on the cap and i know about about the number levels, just this video makes it more easier than just being told to use the numbers and saturation levels to help you. Would of saved like 15$ , but thats okay
This was really helpful. I'm getting back into using markers again/real media and need to replenish my markers. Trias kind of went completely to shit, so I knew I had to convert to Copics (although I still love Prismas, I wanna get better things.yeah?). You should make a video recommending the best copics for beginners on a budget to get. Like the top colours to get that can make a wide range of art. So like instead of recommending a butt ton of similar (because let's be honest, you're Baylee, you love copics) you'd recommend a decent amount for a great base set because I feel like the big plastic copic sets don't come with a good cohesive amount of markers. So you could do like the top 72 markers for beginners plus the colourless blender.
I have an old beginner recommendation video that I've been wanting to redo for at least 2 years! I was thinking of something similar to what you said here (a custom set basically) but also other recommendations for ways to start your collection. I need to get on that!

I swatched all the Copic colors from one of their color charts. With Adobe it shows up everywhere, even on my iPad apps.

I completely agree, there are way too many sets that focus on the brights, but almost completely ignore the darks

1:20 - I finally got ONE Copic marker yesterday and it was V25. I just kinda like that color.
