I love that Peter catching MJ in NWH is what sold Andrew Garfield on returning to the role. That scene was perfect and will always be a favorite of mine.
I mean it was a slam dunk idea, everyone was hoping he'd be the one to do it. They'd be actual morons to not capitalize on that. Sony did good for once
It's actually the obvious idea when Andrew agreed to return. It's like the idea that Captain America's gonna use Mjlolnir in Endgame once the time travel element was introduced. That's the obvious but we just didn't really expect them to do it
This move made me love the other 2 versions because how it resolved Toby and Andrew's run. Both ended so abruptly and this resolved their story lines so well. So well that I wish Sony would just continue with their Spidey films in their own universe. No one will be confused about that.
glorious. it's probably the only post-endgame MCU film i'll ever see, because for me, the story was over with endgame, but i HAD to see all three spider-men together. my life would never be complete without that.
I guess there's no way to know for certain but the way he talks about it makes me think that Andrew might've been the key to making this movie work the way it did.
They could have easily set Venom, MORBIUS, MADAME WEB and Kraven The Hunter in the Marc Webb Amazing Spiderman universe. Though something makes me think there was a clause in the SONY/DISNEY MARVEL STUDIOS deal that meant Spiderman could only appear in MARVEL STUDIOS films when it comes to live up until No Way Home. These studios being greedy and stingy on who can play with the toys is actually costing them big money.

@@Owen-ub3fv I think Sony is setting up a Spider-Man v Sinister Six film something that Andrew Garfield will be their definitive Spiderman as Marvel/Disney has Tom Holland, sharing rights with them.
To me they missed out a golden opportunity at the end with his spiderman. They should have shown him just getting back, switched to regular clothes and just walk down the street at night. As he walks, 2 women are walking by. One looks directly at him and smiles, he smiles back and keeps walking, then he hears her friend say wow, he’s cute MJ. Of course it was going to work. All you need to do appeal to fans these days in most cases is just have a bunch of cameos. And that’s not even a dig at No Way Home. It is a dig as Deadpool 3, however. I thought that was just them going “it worked with Spider-Man…so let’s just get a bunch of cameos and viola!”
I liked No Way Home, but to me, it also shined a light on how poorly the character has been handled since the final Raimi film. They allowed three storylines to end without any conclusion. I wish they'd make a Spider-Man 4 and give Tony's character closure.
I love Andrew Garfield for his acting and care about the source material. But Toby Maguire is the best spiderman and peter parker, and also the best movies by far.

Fan service leaks to build excitement, cameos that didn’t make sense (Electro looking like R&B Jamie), diminishing of Strange, Aunt May’s end, and all done just to open the Multiverse. Why all the low hanging hype?
If there is something that works for the fortnite generation is unoriginal stories about unoriginal re-re-re-re-visited characters…. I wouldn’t have doubted

His Peter had the best resolutions in the film. He got to move on and forgive himself for Gwen's death and also got to make peace with Max

The fact that when it showed MJ falling in the trailer we all collectively knew it had to be Andrew's Peter that would catch her

Best actor yes, best actor at playing Peter Parker, no. The guy simply has too much charisma for the character.
I would watch a 4 hour movie of all 3 Spider-men doing nothing except hanging out and talking about shit
Do they have to be spideys? A movie of them as brothers, a light family drama comedy would've worked for me. Their costars being the MJs and Gwen...
Sounds like a waste of their abilities to be fair 🤣
