"Subscribe or I will see you in court"
Well played Eagle.. well played..
Subscribe or I will see you in Shorts!!
@@ThomasNimmesgern let’s be honest: none of us have been wearing pants for the last 10+ months. Liberating!
The “I’ll see you in court” are normally threatening. But this was had some even more menace to it
@@indirektdjs thats why "See you in shorts" is closer to reality... still have to wear shorts to answer at the door :P
@@ThomasNimmesgern Well, I in shorts now. The theat made me crap my pants.
This didn't age well. 2 and 0 on impeachments ladies and gents. Oh and Sicknick wasn't beaten with a fire extinguisher for the record.
They left because there is no case, it’s a joke.
If five respectable lawyers fled his team, imagine how many unrespectable lawyers did?
They stayed on.
*cough* Rudy...? *cough*
Zero?
@@MrUndersolo He's a material witness to the case. He can't also be Trump's lawyer as a result of that. Otherwise, he probably would and would spend the whole time talking about how Trump was justified because the election was stolen.
The unrespectable ones stayed lmao. Hence Rudy
"Subscribe, or I'll see you in court." Now that's persuasion.
I shit my pants
@@zefanx I ATE my own shit I was so scared.
Duress would probably be closer
So scary it almost made me press subscribe again.
Borderline coersion.
Wait, he had five respectable lawyers?
He had a respectable lawyer?
He still had lawyers?
The better question is who is going to represent him now.
I hear (but cannot confirm) that one defended Epstein and the other refused to prosecute Cosby.
If true, it seems fitting.
@@dynamicworlds1 Sure fits. I just doubt it makes much difference since, if we're honest, this isn't going to be a trial in any meaning of the word. Best case is the dems can force some real discussion and make this last longer than a few days. Conviction seems like a total hail mary.
Well , There’s senators like Ted Cruz , Josh Hawley and many more who says it’s “Unconstitutional” to impeach the president , And also voted to overturn the election results , Trump Doesn’t need lawyers Because the Republican Party will basically enable him to do bigoted things and even allow him to get away with it , I’m betting the GOP will Vote to acquit him even if Donald Trump can’t properly defend himself and continuously spouts lies ,
@@hilal_younus True. I also heard that the Republicans gave a education board thingy seat to a woman. Sounds great, until you hear what that woman said.
Havent met a respectable lawyer yet!
I’d quit too if I knew that I was going to get stiffed.
Some lawyers look at trump to get their name out there and bring their profile up. Then they all realized he’s gonna get them kicked off the bar and then they leave 😂 it’s a cycle
Don't lawyers usually have some sort of impound/trust account that a client has to kept funded during litigation precisely to avoid getting stiffed if the client loses?
@@Wavicle yes or if a case gets expensive/client runs out of money a judge can order a lawyer to stay on the case and they can handle the payment after. I don’t get why any lawyer - knowing trumps history - wouldn’t get pix first
"Payment up front" would be my number one non-negotiable condition as a lawyer in this scenario, so possibly they already got at least some of their money :P.
He's going to have to use a legal aid , probono
It's neat finding this just one week later lol
Still though, this might be one of the few trials where lawyers are much less important than the jury. Sad :(
Yep. He 100% doesn't need lawyers. Just have nobody show up and the Republicans will still acquit.
I'm not American. Does a trial like this have a Jury?
@@michaelahellmich7843 its a senate trial, requiring a 2/3 vote for a conviction. It probably will not happen, because they need at least 17 Republicans to cross the aisle. In the past 3 Senate trials, only 1 Senator has voted to convict a President who is also a member of their own party.
@@gilliganallmighty3 Thank you! We can still hope?!?
@@michaelahellmich7843 if you wanna hope I suggest you hope for criminal charges against Trump
Please let him represent himself. The comic hilarity of that is too great to miss.
I can't imagine the words he'd invent. "Your Highner I abject!"
There’s always Gulliani. There is nothing he won’t do to humiliate himself for Trump.
I could just imagine his opening statement. 🦶➡️👄 His opposing counsel would probably be relieved.
@@francesconicoletti2547 Nah, Rudy already said he won't handle the impeachment. He claims that it's because he's a potential witness, but it's more likely something in between figuring out that he'll never be paid and figuring out that he's in no way qualified to actually do the job.
It worked so well for Charles I.
Three words that always make me happy:
"former president Trump"
I kinda like Resident Trump myself. But it doesn't matter what you call him, he's out of the house.
I liked calling him Butt Burp, POTUS Flatus, FLOTUS Flatus 🤭, etc.
I like this 2 better "inmate Trump"
Wow , lol I can't imagine how sad your life is for something so petty to bring you pleasure!
You know that Trump doesn't even know you exist, right.
@@jimwednt1229 Plenty of other things make me happy too.
This is just a nice thing, like finding a $20 in an old jacket pocket.
Yeah, I think it's safe to say you're screwed when even your legal team decides to jump ship on you
They probably told him "One more lie and you can find another lawyer!", and he made the mistake of calling their bluff.
Screwed? You really think the Republicans will decide on evidence and representation? On argument? No they will decide on they still want the presidents base to vote for them so its all pointless anyway. Unless the trial will wake up many of them, but how do you wake someone up who only believes one liar that convinced them the whole world is lying to them?
@@matthewkoch6937 Evidently, it wasn’t a bluff
@@Jartran72 exactly. These lawyers don't have to convince anyone who's going to consider the law or the evidence. All they have to do is show up. They've already "won". But also they lost by association.
Screwed? He didn’t do anything wrong
Any chance Trump has a cousin named Vinny to represent him? 😂😂😂
i would volunteer, but i would be rather ineffective....
entirely unintended of course.
Nah - Vinny won his case.
@@beckymurphy4714 And the guys he was defending were innocent.
Acquitted 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
they're probably leaving because they are doing the sensible thing and demanding to be paid upfront and Trump is refusing. They know Trump won't pay them after the impeachment.
Acquitted 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@neo217041 Meaningless acquittal, though. It wasn't on the merits; purely political. It was like trying a mob boss and having half the jury being members of that mob and accomplices in the crime at the heart of the trial.
And his defense team's strategy was pathetic. I've seen been better arguments from stressed out, newly barred public defenders. These guys were allegedly top tier defense attorneys. What a joke. These guys couldn't defend an obviously innocent person in a high school mock court. lol.
His tagline is now a threat. I approve.
Why?

Saul Goodman: "You don't want a criminal lawyer, you want a CRIMINAL lawyer."
@@ErebosGR
That was actually Jesse's line
Don't you threaten ME with a good time, Mr. Eagle.
Objection: "In total 5 respectable Lawyers..."
Trump would never hire a respectable Lawyer, nor would a respectable Lawyer accept the job.
Can you imagine if Trump went to defend himself? That would be the most epic self embarassment in history and the funniest part is that Trump would be completely convinced he is "winning" all the way, no matter how much of a fool he makes himself.
And then would crow about how well he did - when the Right will acquit him because they don't have spines - at least most of them do not.
Even if it he did do that the Republican Senators would be like: "Yup innocent." Impeachment fails.
Question: Is Trump entitled to a public defender during impeachment?
Isn't that the same as asking is T*** a communist?
@@backalleycqc4790 what, how?
@@GuacJohnson I hear that the guys on the right think that anything government funded is an example of communism.
I'm guessing no, since this is at its core a civil case, not a criminal one, and your right to an attorney applies to criminal defense only. I might be completely talking out of my arse though.
It's not a trial, except maybe in spirit. This is a political process.
"It's not you, it's us... all of us... everyone but you, actually"
Wait can a president represent themselves in an impeachment trial? 😂
why not
Given each impeachment trial basically sets the rules as they go, I don't see why not indeed
@@cofeman347 very true. You can represent yourself (to some limitations - most judges require a lawyer to help you with procedure) in a criminal trial so why not a senate trial?
I can’t really see why the lawyers matter when 50% of the jury is bought (and admit it beforehand).
45%
Hope the receipt was saved. Might not go Trump's way.
This time the "i'll see you in court" definetly sounded like a treat, haha.
Legal Eagle,
I would love to see you do a video on the Rules of Engagement/War or International Humans Rights.
Your means of presenting things and educating viewers about them would make (to me, at least) an excellent video.

"One will be provided for you" LMAO. Imagine THAT!!!
It wouldnt work. Too many would have to be returned.

More like shits leaving a stinking rat.
"Bowers didn't seem to be a crazy person" Maybe that's why he left the sinking ship.

Did he? Probably because it doesnt fit their narrative. Its a classic approach when one side knows its wrong to be their way.
@@tellaphon6718 The new lawyers are much less respected lawyers though the would be Epstein lawyer being one
Again with the threat! HO! Someone is really in the mood to be sued! 🤣😂🤣

*chuckles* I'm in danger
Most intros are like 2mins long, so this is a nice and refreshing summary of a video to watch.
FORMER president. That sound soooo good!
You can’t impeach a regular citizen. Period.
So if a president did something horrible (idk make America communist for example) on his last day of office you would not impeach him?
@@safetyinstructor lol communism is what joe biden is leading us into sweet heart. If the media is on your side you’re the liar. In 2 years remember this little conversation lol. Do me a favor go ahead and watch the movie/read the book 1984.
@@stephanieschultz1361 you still haven't answered my original question and avoided it for some reason but anyways...
I probably will remember this conversation and chuckle about how someone could be so wrong.
There is a difference between communism and liberalism but these terms have been instrumentalized beyond their actual meaning so much in fact nobody seems know what they really mean.
Biden might be one of the most liberal presidents in quite some time but he's not communist (understandably it's a better punchline for far right wings to call him the most un American thing ever, communist.)
@@safetyinstructor the question is asinine. If he “turned it into a communist country” he never would have had to leave office 😂I pray God opens your eyes one day. Turn off the tv and the phone and start doing your own research. You are wasting life being this dumb

Without watching Part 2: They left *because* they're respectable, reasonable, and not crazy. Now off to part 2 to see if I'm right...

This goes to show how terrible of a client Trump is.
Man, who needs stress relievers when all you need to hear is... "Former President Trump"
trump: "you got my back right millennia?...right?...........millennia?.............uh-oh
Hold up - there were respected people on Trump's side? I thought he was actually hiring clown shoes intentionally so he could claim they failed him or some other shenanigans.
Five respectable lawyers who saw their respectability about to be flushed down the crapper.
"Subscribe or I'll see you in court."
He's done asking.
If you listen carefully he says buy gme
I’m sure it has nothing to do with their family, careers, and livelihoods being threatened.
Define "respectable."
Even Matthew Harrison Brady and Saul Goodman left!
Why split such a short video into pieces??
To say that he dropped a pair of shorts
Respectable lawyers that worked for Trump? Is that a thing?
How can u impeach someone when there not president?

Right now, you just know Trump's asking if Sidney Powell's available. Bonus points if he tells her "You're so much better than your brother Colin."
"Subscribe or I'll see you in court" is that a threat?
The words lawyer and respectable rarely go well together. Sort of like honest and thief.
I laughed my head off when I was first told that Trump's defence team had quit before the trial. The whole situation just gets better and better as time goes on!
Still, I'm hoping that the Republicans have a change of mind as the sh*tshow goes down. I'll be well peeved if Trump gets acquitted just because.
"Subscribe or I'll see you in court". I sure wish I had the money to be worth suing. I can't remember the terminology you used for it, but what we say in my family is "You can't get blood from a stone"
How long can a defense ask for an extension if the discovery period if they have already gotten the evidence from the state? Particularly in Alaska?
There ought to be a law against deliberately filming in portrait mode.

*Lawyers quit in the middle of Trump impeachment defense*

Hi! I love your videos and signed up for curiosity stream and nebula but I don’t see any videos that are not also on your UA-cam channel! I might not be understanding something but I love you content! Stay safe and hopefully I won’t see YOU in court 😉
Fun fact: Charles Manson carved a swastika in his face and his lawyers didn’t quit.
Didn't quite?
He means quit.
@@Dauntless2000 maybe not, maybe they considered carving on themselves in solidarity, but didn’t quite have the nerve. Lol
It's a delay tactic...
Sadly I don't think it is bad news for him. I don't think it matters at all whether he has a lawyer, submits a brief, or shows up in hi underwear, it isn't a court of law and the outcome has nothing to do with the law or the Constitution.
It should, but it doesn't.
It has to do with politics, and whether the GOP, of whom 17 have to vote to convict, care more about their political hides and personal safety than they do about our country, the Constitution, or justice. Sadly we know the answer to that one, which is that they care about getting reelected and not getting killed, and they could care less about the country or the Constitution.
I think this will end like the last Impeachment, with the craven display of self interest, cowardice, and complete dereliction of duty we have come to expect of the GOP.
"Subscribe or I'll see you in court." Is that a threat?
How I am just incapable to watch shorts in the proper mode
