Woodstove door gasket cement is good for reattaching loose lamp bases. It being dim is to be expected with the ~10% transmission of blue envelopes of light from an incandescent spectrum light source coupled with the 150lm or so of white light from a 25W filament of that design. Very much a lamp to be seen, not a lamp to see with.

These darker colored incandescent party bulbs indeed run very hot , especially the green, blue and black lights because practically all the visible light spectrum from the filament is absorbed. The cheaper versions common these days are particularly known for unpleasant odors and color fading when lit for longer periods of time.
I have a 400 watt BT37 black mercury vapor bulb that I use in my 400 watt pulse start metal halide Hang-A-Light with the ignitor disconnected, in the polebarn for the Haunted house setup on Halloween week, and sometimes at night-time parties and it gets SUPER HOT, and takes the party bulbs many of us knew and loved, to the extreme. Pictures don't really do it justice.
I had a couple of 60 watt if I remember correctly, blue and green party bulbs in my bedroom when I was a teen, in the early 2000s. I also had a 60 or 75 watt black bulb, and a 25 or 40 watt rainbow colored bulb.

I still remember my blue party bulb, from Dollar Tree. It actually was a nice, deep blue. But after ten minutes, I could no longer stand the smell.

I Just bought a whole pack of colored Par 20 bulbs and the only thing i don't like about these is the color fades over time if left on.

I was hoping to see this bulb overdriven by the variac in this video. I would expect a significant result from the higher voltage getting the filament to produce more blue light.

Light bulbs that are like 60 watt and below have their filaments supported like that.

That is a sad thing to have a blue light that is so dim it gives you the blue's 😮

The blue just canceles out the warm tone of the incandescent bulb
