This is actually meant to mount on a tank barrel
The light output alone has it's own recoil, but the weight of it would off balance that rifle super bad.. :P

Even at the $450 I paid during their Flash Sale I ended up sending the X9R back to Olight. Why? It offers a massive wall of light ONLY with very little actual throw. Such little throw that I was immediately frustrated. If you're hoping that the X9R is going to be a Combination Thrower/Flood, think again. Yes, it's a massive, well-built light AIR COOLED light (no active cooling, so it gets very 🔥!) If your goal is to Flood a 5 acre lot or a football field for 90 seconds? this will do that. If you spent the $600 post flash sale and you still decided to keep it, more power to you. Personally, ACEBEAM is on the Cutting edge of Flashlight tech. I'm anticipating the X70⚡️
$600+tax $640 for this flashlight no way! For the same price I will get the Imalent, MS18, 100,000 lumens!

The Olight X9R Blows donkey cork! What a major disappointment. All that hype, 2 plus years of Hype only to get a total Flood Light for $600? (I paid $450 during the Flash Sale) was and is, really disappointing. How much Throw is there with the X9R? At BEST, 300 yards! I actually enjoy my Fenix RC40 2016 Edition far more..... nope, Olight and the X9R is Underwhelming as a combination light. If you want a combo light? Buy the RC40 2016 Edition. If you want a straight Flood Light, buy the X9R.

The X9R is an Over-Hyped flood king ONLY! I was so completely Underwhelmed, I actually sent my X9R Back to Olight wishing five days of buying one during their over-hyped Flash Sale! Total throw? There no more than 300 yards. Actual lumens tested? 20,000. BUY the Fenix RC40 2016 Edition, it's a great combination light that holds its battery strength and it performs beyond your expectations.
That thing is badass man, I love my s1r baton turbo but this thing is sick... love the videos talon

Good video, but I would never buy any of those gazillion-lumen flashlights. I would be extremely concerned about accidentally shining it close into someone's (or my own) eyes. Do you know of anyone who has gotten into trouble shining massive flashlights like this at aircraft?

This is now my favorite light. I just got it today so I don't have tons of time with it but it has all the nice touches that only Olight can do, or will do. They cost more because they put more into their lights. I had the Imalent DX80 and it is much brighter and easier to handle because it is shorter, the head is wider to accommodate the extra couple of chips and that is how they can make it brighter. The DX80 is also much less money and that it a good enough reason for most to go with that one, and I would blame them at all. All that being said, I'm happier with this Olight X9R because of the quality way of building it and the way you operate the light. It works just like all my other Olights and the DX80 works the exact opposite and I hated that. Every time I turned it off, it would go brighter and when I wanted brighter, it would turn off. Now that seems like something you can easily adjust to, but I never could, so after three months, when I had a major problem with the DX80, I sent it back and decided not to replace it with another one, I chose to get the Olight instead and I'm already used to it, I love it. I do landscaping and need to light up yards when my clients get home sometimes, just to talk about the work and with a light like this, it puts me in business on a Tuesday evening instead of waiting for the weekend. I also have the X7R that is 12,000 lumens so the two of these together is great. If you are on the fence as to what to get and you aren't crazy like me, just get the X7R, it is so much smaller and easier to carry around and is still really bright. It's half as bright but also half the price, or less. I love the way the X7R fits in my hand, it feels great, much better handling than this big X9R. The X9R needs to be really big to accommodate the batteries or it wouldn't last very long. If you have a use for it, get it, if it's just for fun, get it because it's lot's of fun. Great warrantee as well and that's nice for such and expensive light. I have 9 Olights and I like them all.

on ebay you can buy a 32,000lumen skyray with a bigger lens on its about £30 i bet this was £100s
Beam sux. For the price with the flight just go with the seeker 2. 1/3 the price. Go with the javelt pro. Better beam. Also 1/3 the price. Low time does not compare

I think maybe the reason it's getting some dislikes is that he did it in amongst a clump of trees when he could have shined it across the field a mile away onto those buildings. Of course another part would be that people just don't want a light like that, it's way too big. You could hardly fit the damn thing in the front seat of some cars.

Only 3 minutes on max? I'm not a flashlight expert but that seems kinda short
3 minutes, then it goes down to a slightly lower output to avoid overheating

I've been wanting something like this to get back at the people with their high beams on without me having to bright light everyone else on the road.
Mount a row of them under your trunk lid, pop the trunk from inside the car and the trunk will block to the light behind you while emitting the sun from your trunk. Or switch out for strobes and smoke bombs of you really need to get to safety.

My point being 1984, that for $300 less than the X9R, I far and away prefer my Fenix RC40 2016! Anyone who requires a brighter combination light than the RC40 2016, well......You're simply over-compensating. I knew, I KNEW that when Olight hyped this light for two years, that two things would happen...1. That other company's would easily surpass it (see Acebeam) because it took Olight forever to come up with what is, a TOTAL flood light and 2. That X9R wouldnt come close to meeting let alone exceeding he hype that Olight pumped into this thing. $600 is a total waste of resources for the X9R. If I didn't get one during the flash sale for $450, I wouldn't have bought one. As it is, the light was such a bitter disappointment that I returned it! Wait until 2022 when lights this size will be a thing of the past.

Companies need to figure out how to get a light like that to last at least 1 to 2 hours on full power 3min is crazy. So you pay for the 3 minutes pretty much then it goes down to most hand held lights.

Liked it, didn't love the X9R....It's well built, heavy in construction and enormous feel, great grip IF you're blessed with Ginormous hands (Like Me!).... in the End, even at the $450 I paid during the much hyped Flash Sale, the X9R was not the Total light I had hoped. What do you get? A MASSIVE Wall of Flood light with no more, No More than 300 meters of Throw. Why did I send mine back for refund? Again, the total underwhelming and lack of Throw was Frustrating. So....I took that refund money and now I wait for Acebeam Super Hyped X70 to debut. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the hell out of ALL my Awesomely modified lights that I've purchased at SKYLUMENS$!

Such deception by Olight. It really only puts out 6400 lumens and not 25,000 since you can only use those 25,000 lumens for 3 minutes. In a real world scenario you will be using/needing the flashlight longer than 3 or 10 minutes. The 10 minutes is for the 12,800 lumens on mode 7. 6400 lumens is still plenty of light, but that is not the point here. The point here being that it should be advertised as a constant 6400 lumen flashlight and not the ridiculous and outlandish claims put out by Olight as a 25,000 lumen flashlight. I am a lineman and unfortunately I am having a real difficult time finding a spotlight flashlight that is practical and can function in real world scenarios. Out on the field this light is too big, bulky and heavy. No one wants to be lugging around/holding a huge and heavy light for a good amount of time. When it's cold, windy and dark, and you are out in the middle of nowhere and you are struggling to bring down a fuse none of us want to be aiming at the cutout with a huge, heavy, and bulky flashlight. As rural lineman we lug around a good amount of equipment and tools from truck to truck and this ginormous flashlight will only add to it, not practical at all. I don't know the price for it, but I'm guessing it is not cheap. I am a flashaholic and even I will not give this flashlight a second thought.
