Worth noting this is a sequel. The original game came out in 2020. The original was entirely 16 bit. This sequel is meant to emulate psx saturn ideas of graphics. Thus the turbo update. The original is for mugen. I made sure the original stayed with the 16 bit only ideas where as the sequel i went more modern because of the insane possibility of ikemen vs mugen. Glad you liked it none the less and its also worth mentioning the original tmnt tf is getting a rom hack update that not only adds new colors but eventually new chars. Its all tmnt Also the only thing left are additional stages and finished story content for the last 3 new chars karai asuka and clayface. Other than that its feature complete and nothing is changing.
Also, the tmnt tf scene plays on hi speed 1 so technically this game is slower than the original. I learned this half way through development and I decided to not go the same direction as mine was based on normal timing with some adjustments
"TNMT - Tournament Fighters" is one of the games I played the most as a child. I loved it. Although I don't remember the gameplay as being beginner-friendly. I always had problems to perform the moves consistently. I think some models from the fan game are borrowed from "Justice League Task Force". Also a fun game, but unfortunately not really good.
Cowabunga collection could have been great if not for the odd misteps, that said there is an active community of players for the tmnt tf with a discord even
@MUGENKamekaze I mean by remaking it for modern platforms cause the older one is outdated and tmnt has alot of characters in the franchise from different incarnations that could make great dlc and the roaster such as a mix of mirage a mix of idw a mix of 87 a mix of 2003 show and different skins
Are the differing art styles from the loading screen and in-game portraits really that odd? Plenty of AAA fighting games (Soul Calibur VI, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Capcom vs SNK 2) have had similar contrasts where the character select art is different from the in-game or loading screen art, and that's more to unify the various aesthetics the game tries to appeal to rather than highlight the differences. Even Street Fighter 6 has multiple artists covering various story modes for each character as a way to highlight the long history of the game and its various high profile artists.
I have an extensive retro fighting game collection and not once have I been this blindsided by conflicting aesthetics. Maybe there are fighting games out there with this same degree of mix-matched styles and aesthetics, but I've yet to encounter one.
Tell us what you think of tmnt 2003 and 2012 About 2012 I liked the figures but not the show. Like I grew up with it and was invested in its story but I didnt like that it was 3D and some episodes were stupid. Both took elements from mirage universe but 2012s ending was goofy like fallout

Thanks for the comment. The new combos are great. I think your talent as a character creator really shines through in this game.
Thank you for the information

1:35 that title screen gives me marvel vs Capcom 2 vibes
Me too man
Really dig the talking Red Turtle.
Me too
That would be his pngtuber avatar.
What's amazing about this game is that it has not just fans working on it but former Capcom, SNK and Konami staff helping on it too.
Cool
I am a fan of DC and also turtles. And for me this game is a real gift.
Good 👍😊 for you
Tmnt tournament fighters need to be brought back

You can go back to as early as X-men Vs. Street Fighter. @@Tatoruzu
Good point

So injustice?
I guess so.
I mean I’d compare this to marvel vs Capcom
I agree with everything stated about art direction 100%.
I'm not big on crossover games. I'd rather have a large roster all in the same universe.
Yeah, I'd probably prefer a TMNT game on its own tbh.
Fair enough I will respect your opinion.

Someone was making a Turtles in time remake with these bad ass sprites but i can't the game or the youtube trailer for it.🥲🤕😨😰😥😢😭
I'd love to play that. Always loved the sprites from Tournament Fighters.
