I have been down the Sutton River, Beautiful place did a 9 day trip from Hawley Lake. 2 of us. Outstanding fishing. Went end if July. First 2 days rainy and just above freezing. Spent 1 night on Tundra. Northern lights, no polar bears. Just saw your podcast with Jim Baird. Awesome stuff

Just finishing this book now. Wow! what a journey, you really put my life in perspective. You're the type of man whos hard work Canada was built on. People like you bring great pride to myself and other Canadians and I thank you dearly for sharing this story. (a book that will be passed on to future kids)

Just finished your book. I could not put it down. It was so well written. You went to nursery school with my son Brent Harrison, don’t know if you remember him or not. I remember that you gave him a homemade bird feeder for his birthday. I thought it was the coolest gift ever. Actually we still have it. Looking forward to purchasing more of your books and hope some day our paths will cross and I can see you speak somewhere. I work for Niagara Parks and have seen you on the guest list there so who knows. Stay safe in these times. Your photography is outstanding also.😘

Just finished Beyond The Trees. Wow!! I have never enjoyed a book so much. I also did my first solo trip at 13 years old, but I would never be so brave to tackle what you did. At 69 I am not looking forward to anything like that, but you brought me there. The best part was the whole book. To be immersed in such a place, I will bring this memory with me until the bitter end. Hope you get back out there soon. Keep your paddle wet.

Just finished your book Adam. It was great to see some video of stuff you detailed in it. That polar bear confrontation must have been something. Congrats on all your accomplishments.

Wow, always wanted to do something like this in my life. Even just a canoe trip from one place to another. I was just not as brave as you. Even doing astrophotography, a most recent passion, I can't get anyone to join me on Lake Winnipeg (my home province) or on Lake Erie (Toronto my home now), to just spend time with the night sky. Just wow, you have a gift of being brave. Don't ever loose the appreciation of learning to being on your own.

Man I read the book a couple years ago didn't realize you filmed the trip! This brought back so many memories. I've told your bear encounter story to so many people over the years. Very crazy that you got a glimpse of the bear on video and the sounds of its snarling. This was fun to watch! Being a flatwater canoe expedition lover from Ontario it was a great read and the video made it even better. Cheers.

Try the Luxe Outdoor Mini Peak tent. It can use a trek pole or stick for a tent pole.
