What I love about your work is that you don't really have a 'good enough'. You want your projects to look like how you would want them done for you and I think that's one reason why you have so many repeat customers. You are fair, honest, practical. Thank you for sharing with us, Chris.
I admire your ability to go from one machine to another and be proficient with what ever machine you get into, I know it comes from years of operating different machines, but the thing I think puts you over the top is your love of what you are doing. Your drive finished out nicely and thank you for the update sir.
It always amazes me when I watch you work. Putting in a long driveway is much more than just putting gravel in. You have to engineer the right depth and also make provision for rainwater run off. There's a hell lot more than just diggin' and spreading gravel. Nice Job.
Very nice swale work with Strawberry Shortcake and the grading bucket. Yes, 6 inch Sch80 PVC should be tougher that 12 CMP and not need a deep install.
Nice work Chris! That greening up grass and the trees bordering the road make fora really nice driveway as is!! Nothing wrong with 2 driveways though either. I like the little ditch. I live in Alberta and any drive or road I did or had done for us always has a ditch or small scale at the least. To qualify, we get snow and in years where it sits and accumulates, it can be a LOT of water come Spring thaw! It’s much better controlled on each side of the road than in the middle to turn the road into a quagmire. It’s melting, but there’s snow still on either side of the road,,,,. We keep the road clear so as it melts it wants to use the road as a place to run, if we don’t have ditches. (Long description, sorry). As a result I always like seeing the roads with a ditch. The depth of the ditches and additional development we would do before the gravel would more than double the labour on a job like this. The ditch material usually becomes the base of the road, if it’s suitable. Then the road is the highest point when the fields melt. Then once the roadway & ditches are done, the road is graded with a grader and rolled in with a packer before the gravel goes down. I would much prefer the bill on how roads are done there vs the way they should be done here!! 😂😂. It’s not uncommon to see roads go in like it’s done there and as soon as we have a hard winter, you see the ditches being cut that following summer and the road being repaired at the same time!! 😂. Some guys get lucky though. I done have that kind of luck so I like paying the contractor once instead of twice!! Haha. Looking great!! It’s looking like you are going to be pulled every direction by your clients soon. Spring seems to be there! You are gonna be busy this year again I see. Likely have the year booked into October by now!!! Take care eh Chris!😊
Balloons. Watching you work the machines is truly a pleasure, so smooth and gracefull in every motion and the groundwork always turns out magnifico. Have a Happy restfull Easter Chris.
Seeing your skid steer reminds me that I didn't thank you for the offer of your old tracks . Thank you for the offer. If you have friends in your area looking to unload some rubber tracks, (any kind) it would really be worth the gas and time to make the trip. Thanks again. Love your videos. Got my sons, hubby and grandson watching now.😊
Its funny how that swail doesn't look very wide from the cab view, but when you switched to the sped up view, you can see its a good 4-5 feet wide. No surprise, this turned out amazing!
It's almost like it's not a Letsdig18 episode if Chris doesn't find a balloon or two. Thanks Chris for the music you played during the time lapse part. I like that particular song. Much better than most time lapse music out there others use. Mr. Duck Mafia victim Geoff Bealy Good has some really good music he uses as well. Must have been your influance. I also for some weird reason like listening to the mini running. Definitely a nice ditch you dug. Once some grass griws in it it should stay stable from erossion.
Sure did Man !! Got it laid in there nice... Man, I love the finish buckets on the Mini, and the Big Machine, just makes an awesome finish on whatever your working on !! And The Smooth Bucket for the Big machine has really changed the game for ya, It has came in handy for so, so many projects you've done!! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great weekend, Evening, and Easter !! And, On too the Next ......
Who'd think watching someone like Chris laying down and sculpting gravel onto a driveway and digging a ditch could be so darn entertaining !?! I know I do.
I know I do. Watching Chris do what he does best. Working the earth until it is beautiful and perfect. I just can't watch enough of him operating his machines. Thanks for sharing, Chris, and have a great weekend. Be safe out there, and God bless you 👍👍👍
How deep do you put the crush and run and how wide do you make the driveway? You do good work it is fun and relaxing to watch! There is always something going on.
For how wet it is there, I would like to see your grader pulling dirt from the outside to the center to raise the road, then road base and then rock last. water will always pass through the rock, that's why the road needs to be higher than the sides!
Nice Chris !! Need to put in a driveway and your swale execution is spot on Thank you for this post. How wide is the drive, looks ideal Have a great weekend Chris from up north
I woulda figured most people that watched and listened to this video heard him talk about this being a most likely temporary access drive for the construction vehicles and that the main driveway is going to be on the other side. No sense spending more time and money to use mat and then roll it. That will be done on the main driveway.
I agree with Vickie, 100%. I find myself like right now, needing to produce a video, but wondering what Chris was up too. Very genuine and I genuinely can not wait to meet you someday, sincerely. Alright, going to do that video lol.
Can not believe it has been a year! The driveway and the property are looking good. Question are you self taught and can anyone learn to operate a skid steer? Thank you and have a great day.
Way to show that pipe who’s boss it just didn’t know who it was messing with but still didn’t have to get out of the machine as usual you just whooped it place and thats it 👍😎🇺🇸NY
I like the hole balloon deal. Just seeing you dig the ditch shows how professional you are. Looks so good and you get it done fast. The drive way as well. Chris i watch a lot of you tube doing what you do but they are not as good as you. Not even close. Man ive seen the way some people run there machines and it takes them a week to do what you do in a couple of days and there finish job looks like crap. Your jobs always looks from start to finish so planned out and so well executed. Amazing jobs my friend. you amazing work on any job abd the attention to detail is why you are the you tube genius. Im so dumb i had to google how to spell genius.
Was that the field you had to demolish the old house and had a barn off to the side that you demolished also.grass improved the looks totally.good video as always.keep on doing what your doing.😎😎😎👍👍👍
This was the first job the new EC220 did in video *"Starting The First Job With The New Machine"* that Chris posted back on 1 Nov 2022. ua-cam.com/video/glJMUPJioAQ/v-deo.html . Back then it was a 6.5 acre logging deck and 2.5 acre house lot, total 9 acre that Chris cleared. Chris did say at the start of this video that he did that job with new EC220 in Sep 2022, not sure whether he mispoke on that though.
Chris does create playlists of videos for his recent big jobs. He didn't do it for this *"9 acre clearing"* though. There's about 20 videos for this project. I could make a playlist for that if you like. The first was *"Starting The First Job With The New Machine"* that Chris posted back on 1 Nov 2022. ua-cam.com/video/glJMUPJioAQ/v-deo.html . Anyway, just ask away if you need to find previous older videos of any Chris recent videos/jobs. A few of us here like the challenge of finding them. ;-)

wow you treat every job as if it is your property. Very Nice Chris
Chris could decorate cakes with a mini excavator. Incredible skill.
NO doubt!😊

Super nice roadwork with attention to drainage…priceless! 👍👏👍
You display a great deal of artistic skill manipulating that bucket! Best wishes.
I don't now why but I love watching you spreading stone and installing pipe. A master of all machines.
It always amazes me when I watch you work. Putting in a long driveway is much more than just putting gravel in. You have to engineer the right depth and also make provision for rainwater run off. There's a hell lot more than just diggin' and spreading gravel. Nice Job.

No one puts rock down faster and makes a construction road go faster and meticulously finished. As always! God's blessings and have a blessed Easter.
Nice work Chris!

Chris beautiful road! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
That property turned out very nice. You make what you do look so easy. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a fine looking construction road Chris. Take care & cheers😊
For anyone whos wondering, the song playing is Happiness by Bensound
Liked and Subscribed! Skid Steer usage and driveway maintenance is the best. Instant satisfaction!
Thanks for taking us along

You can tell Chris truly loves his work
Why because he goes beyond just
Doing or getting done
Nice work Dude! Now drive a little south and do my driveway!!
First impression as you pull into property, wow!! Nice work Chris 💪👍🇺🇸
24:20 I love that you refused to get out of the machine to just drag that pipe into where it's supposed to be. :)
Great job. 😊😊😊😊

Chris great videos you make it look so easy I know guys who have been doing this for years who can't do that good of work as you. Great job.
Love it when you point out the balloons.
An artist with an excavator
Hello Chris welcome back my friend🐕🚜
For how wet it is there, I would like to see your grader pulling dirt from the outside to the center to raise the road, then road base and then rock last. water will always pass through the rock, that's why the road needs to be higher than the sides!
Damn if only he had your knowledge.
hard to crown a road with mud
Love this video Chris on this new Driveway .
Back and Forth gets the job done. Looks really good.
Awesome job Chris as always customer couldn't ask for better thanks for having us along great video
Great Job Chris.. That whole job came out really nice.. You the Man..
Give this man several tons of stone, a skid steer and 10 minutes and he will hand you a parking lot! Incredible skills sir, amazing.
Keep making construction entrances like that and everybody will wanting you do theirs.
It sure is nice to never need to bring a rake or hand shovel!!!! Super nice work!!!
Neighbor: Don't put anything across my property line!
Chris: Ok, I'll give you the gift of water!
Neighbor: WAT?
I would like to see how the "Power Rake" operates. Thanks Chris
Give me a few dump trucks and Chris on the skid loader and I will be happy for an afternoon watching videos!! Always enjoy!!
Very nice work Chris, have a Happy Easter.
Change the looks of that real quick. Nice job 👍
You are a very skilled man Chris.
So no fabric. I didn’t put fabric for my barn road and sometimes wonder if I messed up. Maybe it’s not always needed?
Excellent Craftsmanship on this driveway…!!! 😎👍✅
Sharp looking results!
Very nice!!! Excellent operating!!!
Chris... you make running the mini easier than falling off a horse.
Chris, you are an artist with whatever you are behind the controls of.
Gravel prices there must not match up with what we have in eastern Kentucky about 48$ ton
Very clean and neat. Very nice work.
It turned out nice, because you do awesome work.
Another excellent job done well
Great job as usual Chris,Thanks and peace brother…
Couldn't make EDGES that CLEAN with a hand RAKE.
Chris does it with the skid steer?! 🤯
Makes it look nice n tidy too bro rather than a small wash across the driveway as time goes by. Safe travels
Thanks Chris Great Video!!👍👍
...LOOKS GREAT, NICE WORK, KEEP SAFE
Lol!, balloons love you!
What an artist at work great job Chris.
I enjoyed your video brother keep up your video.🤘🤘👏😄. 4- 7 - 2023
I`ve been finding those darn balloons in the woods and fields for over 30 years now.
Chris, the skid loader is so quiet without that backup horn.😊 Did it just happen to quit working?
Is there a lake or pond next to it thru the trees there?
Sure looks like a pond, but not one of Chris's I'll bet - he doesn't do straight lines like that very often.
And that is a wrap.Good job 👍🏻
Nice Chris !! Need to put in a driveway and your swale execution is spot on
Thank you for this post. How wide is the drive, looks ideal
Have a great weekend
Chris from up north
Job well done Chris.
Another great job by the master Chris!!!
i allways wonder how you tell the truck drivers where/how to dump the load.
I point haha
Looks like you could use a road grader for that ditch
Great job Chris 👍👍
How come no mat laid down before the gravel and no roller action ?
I woulda figured most people that watched and listened to this video heard him talk about this being a most likely temporary access drive for the construction vehicles and that the main driveway is going to be on the other side. No sense spending more time and money to use mat and then roll it. That will be done on the main driveway.
Well at least you guys did not get any snow this year. Least Chris did not show any snow plowing this year! 👍🏻👍🏻
I agree with Vickie, 100%. I find myself like right now, needing to produce a video, but wondering what Chris was up too. Very genuine and I genuinely can not wait to meet you someday, sincerely. Alright, going to do that video lol.
Nice job on the driveway!

no fabric under the stones & no compaction ?
Thought same thing.
Its a temporary road, just for construction
The motorgrader would have been Perfect for this job. You make it look easy Chris. I need to get out to a meet & greet some day.

If I can ever afford a mini I’m going to get a tilt bucket it sure does pretty work. And of course the LD18 thumb.
I was thinking the same thing
@@petenolte4192 I think Chris makes it look easier than it really is.
@@Justalittleoutoftown I totally agree!!!
Can't believe you haven't gotten the dozer blade attachment for your skidsteer yet
I don't like them bucket is faster

Chris you are like the Leonardo da Vinci of dirt work!
truck dump is very good🤩😁😆
Skill man.... major skills.... props....
not enough ever said about that Takeuchi skid steer... man is that a slick machine
Spreading gravel with a dump truck correctly takes a very technical guy. I suppose Chris just said, you dump it, it'll look great when I'm done!
There's a lot of troubles in the world but every day you make it a better place. Be hard pressed to find a better eye for the finished results.
Mr smooth gets another in the books.

I would never use less than 12” pipe for cross drain. That thing will stay stopped up with leaves.
