I’ve been wanting this car since back in high school I used to browse the jdm import websites admiring them. Every time I bring it up people usually have no idea what I’m talking about. Kinda liked how it flew under the radar with no “fanboys”
jzxs have been going up in price quite a bit over the last 4 or so years. Plenty of people world wide know about them and have them, not hard if you have ever watched a drift video from Japan, Americans that are in jdm cars seem to be the ones that have no idea about them. I look forward to the 25 year rule coming up as my x100 mark ii is only going to get more expensive.

JZX platform has more after market support. I had an IS300 and after market parts were definitely more pricey and harder to come by. Still love the Altezza/IS though.
they need C O N T E N T. Like/hate these videos. Ricer miata and FI singlehandedly rose the LS400 price, they were 1-2k and now they're 4-6k lmao. Anything JDM is worth a lil something rn

S15's right now are like 15k ish for some pretty nice body and interior ones, but they do jump up to 25k. I'm just praying I can jump the gun right as 2025 opens up to get a Chaser, cause I want a 2000 Chaser

I fell in love with the chaser because of CarX Drift Racing (the first one) and really liked how the car slides in the game, did a little research and found out that it doesn't have that big of a cult following it and then AdamLZ got 3 of them and here we are
In Okinawa the Chaser is the most hyped drift car there. You’ll see tons of MKIV supras, but people aren’t going crazy. When a chaser pulls by a ton of people get hyped and stare. I never fully understood how focused they were on it but if they enjoyed it I’m okay with it.

I know a guy in Salt Lake City who owns a 1988 Chaser, he has a touch screen that was installed in the factory (supposedly) and became the 2nd owner. He served in the US Military at the time and knew the original owner, eventually bought it and daily drive it in Japan. He got it shipped state side as soon as he could
Don't get why everyone's so mad Adam LZ bought one, I get the price will go up but can't get annoyed cuz a guy bought a car he liked, not like he's stuck up the guy worked to be where he's at.

I had the gearbox rebuilt (r154), after I bought the car along with a new clutch and flywheel, new coilovers and polybushed the rear end, apart from that, it's been good as gold. Like any car, as long as you keep on top of everything, there's nothing to worry about. It's an old Toyota, they'll go to the moon and back. Hope that helps. @@funnnflix In all honesty, probably wouldn't recommend it as a first car, although it would be a great way to learn as keeping on top of some issues that come up would gain your knowledge. It depends what car you're looking at as a first as things like insurance come into play!
I have oficialy convinced my dad to help me get a 2j chaser, i live in Chile so the imports are a big thing around here (I Just found a 2jz gte chaser in 5k, already w KW coil overs and enkei wheels), wish me luck!

Got to live in Japan for damn near 7 years active duty USAF. Always loved the Chasers & Mark II's the most, got to own one finally on my last tour there, tried to bring it back but it wasn't old enough... Wish I could find one stateside that wasn't priced damn near like a new car...

It always came with n/a 2jz since x90 body i believe, they have specific frame code corresponding to that, its either jzx91 or jzx101, i personally have jzx91 mark 2
Maybe not Toyota fanboys in general, but if you were into grassroots drifting than you knew about this car, and now hate Adam lz for introducing it to everyone. At least it wasn't in fast and furious or forza, so hopefully they won't get that expensive
4 years ago my grandfather gave me one but I moved to the US and I couldn't import it over so now I'm with and Acura legend coupe looks very similar maybe that's why I'm so in love with it

I swear every UA-cam channel that talks about the JZX chassis always forgets about the JZX110. Yeah it looks like a camry but it still goes just as hard as its predecessors.
I watch these videos specifically because the bass the drops is so sick makes my TV look so good. But Alex speaks facts like a middle school kid reading his essay in class. Take a pause sometimes.
