Sometimes I disagree with you. But in English Grammar, you are the best teacher I have never Known. Your way of explaining by far is better than other ones I follow on websites. Others give us awful and boring classes. It is my opinion. I am not talking about they are bad teachers.

    Namaste Emma,
Your lesson provides very useful and unique information about, what the difference between 'some' and 'any' and how to use. I admire your suggestions.
    Some other examples:
    1. We need some bananas.
    2. You can't buy any poster in this shop.
    3. We haven't got any oranges at the moment.
    4. Peter has bought some new books.
    5. There aren't any folder in my bag.
6.I have seen some nice pictures in the souvenir shop.
    Thank you.

I'm not a native speaker of English (I'd say I'm nearly native as I have been using English on a daily basis as my main language for over 10 years.) I'm also teaching and this video perfectly explains how to use 'some' and 'any' and their differences in contexts. I passed your test with flying colors, but like others have mentioned, it has always been rather complicated to teach students how to use some and any with their exceptions.
My sincere regards for your video. It'll make my teaching a lot more effective on this particular point!

Example sentence: -Have you tried any of those milk products?
-Actually, I haven`t. Some of them look quite weird. It seems like they`re already expired.
Emma, I just wanted to thank you for that work that you`re doing, for the effort you put into each of your videos. In addition to that, thank you for inspiring me to learn this breath-taking language! Now I cannot survive a day without English! It changed my entire life for the better! Now I`m eager to learn some other languages, like Spanish, Georgian, Polish...
So yeah, keep on doing what you`re doing, keep on being such a superb human. You`ve got a whole bunch of people who`d always support you whenever you are.

_“Some people don't like the hot weather“ = A certain percent of people don't like the hot weather (And the rest of people like the hot weather)_

I didn't realize how complicated the proper use of these words would be until I tried to teach it. My student speaks Portugese, and when she used Google translate, both words translated as the same thing. No wonder she was confused! I sent her a link to your lesson, and we will keep working on it. Thanks for making it clear... or as clear as possible.
