Bambino are crayons that I was using since I was little. It's a Polish brand, popular in Poland (where I'm from) and I love them... their smell brings up so many memories :) It's a product that is supposed to be affordable and used by children. I don't live in Poland anymore, but I still couldn't resist and when I was back home I still needed to buy new Bambino set :)
Thankyou, my bambino’s arrived today the REVOLUTIONARY thing about them for me is that they blend and smudge with a wet finger….that has made my day. I live in UK so haven’t had the same mission getting hold of them, but they are well worth the price. They feel a little like progresso wood less colours but less waxy. I am very pleased with them ❤️
I'm not a crayon fan. I was when I was a child, but as an adult, unless they change the way they lay down on paper, I'm good with my pencils. But I absolutely appreciate the video. You never know, I may try them one day?

Neat! I do like the Neocolor though. They look wonderful. I wonder if the bambino crayons would fit in a pencil extender so when they get shorter, you can hang onto them better.
I’ve ordered from Bambino crayons twice and had no issues with shipping or damage. I love the crayons when coloring a larger area. Being clay based you can layer over with colored pencils to save on your colored pencils. I prefer the crayons to the jumbo crayons as they have a bit brighter pigment in my opinion and go down a bit smoother.
It’s been ok, here in the UK and It just recently got a bit better, when we were in lockdown it would take 2 - 21/2 weeks for something to get here but I just had a letter from my mum only take a week and a couple of days ( which is still behind, but better) also when I sent my daughter a birthday present from the UK it took 3 weeks for her to get it and she had said US shipping and mail was slow, so I think it all depends on what your shipping and the situation with the lockdowns, it seems to be flowing a bit better at the moment!
Bambino is my childhood. They were definitely an upgrade from wax crayons for the 5-6 years old me. They last longer, they're less messy, and they don't break as easily. You can also sharpen the crayon and use the dust like pastels. And since they're harder than wax crayons, when you sharpen them, you can actually colour smaller details. I still have my ancient set of 12 with some even older extras :) When you don't use them for a long time though, they get this white "dust" on them, but you can just wipe it off (or don't, they work either way).
The Bambinos are very good, they feel more like pencils than like crayons, and leave much less dust and fragments. What is amazing about them is how much colour they can lay down without you noticing any wearing down of the crayon.
I love a beautiful box of crayons and I always buy a new box for all my grandchildren every year because art and being creative is so important. The sooner you can get them into art all the better. After the trouble you had ordering I am alittle leary, but I enjoyed watching your video!
You might be interested in watching the famous artist Johanna Basford’s utube. She colored one of her designs with the Bambino’s and liked them very much!
The Japanese Uni Mitsubishi Ponky Pencils I bought recently seem to be like these Bambinos but more pigmented! I think u can try the ponky set of 12 tat also comes with a sharpener. Amazon do sell them!
BAMBINO is a Polish company, these crayons are unique and definitely the best. If you have problems with delivery from the UK, why not try to order straight from Poland...

Roughly half the size and roughly half the price of the Neocolors. So why not just buy the superior product? These seem... fine, I guess. Nothing I need to have, even with them being really "affordable" as I'm in the UK.

Crayola Crayons are widely known to be crumbly with minimal pigment and this is why, of course, they’re inexpensive and an all-around younger kid’s coloring product. I see that Bambino’s are also marketed to kids, but because they’re made from clay and not so well-known as Crayola Crayons, it makes sense to do a review comparing them to an assumed better product…like Caran D’Ache Neocolor 1, because as we all know, sometimes kid’s art products can be used by adults too with pretty good results for hobby art work and the like. So just wondering. Thanks. 🙂
Many many moons ago when dinosaurs roamed the we were rather poor. So to appease the artist in me would be given a small box of Crayolas for birthdays and Christmas. Occasionally I got a coloring book. The rest of the time when I filled the book, I would color on the brown paper grocery bags. Which were then used as garbage bags. LOL! We had the prettiest garbage bags in the neighborhood.
Crayola makes a great product to compare things to because almost everyone has experience with it. When I say “the smell of a Crayola crayon” almost everyone knows what I’m talking about. As a UA-cam creator, I am always trying to find ways to help the viewer have the experience with me…what better way then to use a product I can almost guarantee they have had in their hand at some point in their life. When I color compare the Bambino next to the Crayola, the viewer instantly has a frame of reference and trust for the results I am showing them.

The Uni Ponky Pencils are like a crossbreed btw colored pencils & crayons! Sure hope u can also get them & review them dear Jennifer!

I think what we need to remember about the bambino products is they are aimed at children so colour scheme isn’t really that vital.

I've actually never heard a reference to Neocolor I, that I recall. What's the difference in those and the Neocolor II? Are they also water-soluble?
Neocolor 1 aren't water-soluble. Here's a video Jennifer did comparing them with Crayola crayons.

Oo you should check out the Brunfunter colored pencils. They come in 520 colors and they are creamy
