- It's, Monty Python's Flying Cerkass..
This was what I believe is the original theme as used on the B.B.C. as it was released on a now deleted double LP from 1982 'On The Air' performed by The Band Of The Welsh Guards'...
I still like this version with their use of the actual 'bell'...
however if you scroll down to Andria Spiga, below you will see a link to the real deal.
In Loving Memory of Terry Jones (1942-2020). 🥺
It's...
"and now for something....."
Paul Yates Gumby voice: "MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS"
right on man xD
The BBC would like to apologize for the next announcement.
This was sampled in Earthbound.
"Your Name, Please"
Yeah but not this particular version. The sample used in earthbound has a crowd laughter to it but I can't find it here.
It's...........a beautiful recording, very good sound, tnx for sharing.
Monty Python. The LAST bastion of sanity in this insane world. Thanks for posting.
What
@@bigoudi07 MONTY PYTHON! THE LAST BASTION OF SANITY IN THIS INSANE WORLD! THANKS FOR POSTING!
I keep waiting for the fart sound
Yes, I do miss the er, splat at the end. Truth is I cannot prove as this is the actual recording as used in the show prior to the ending sound was added. There are other recording out there but most don't use the 'bell' sound enough, but that's just me.
Try baked beans or maybe greens.
Baked beans are off. Can i have spam instead.
Who wants egg, bacon, sausage and spam?
+menslady125 . Sorry we're Completely out of eggs, and bacon, oh and sausages...Got loads of spam!!!
Paul Yates
Well, can I have spam? :D
Can i have egg, bacon, sausage and spam without a spam ?
Jeanne D'arc .You have to have it without Sausage, Bacon and Egg......
Jeanne D'arc

And a bit suspect, I think.

It's...
Monty Python's flying circuseses!
Well. I didn't expect this to be the Spanish Inquisition.
NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!
thisjacktansley nobody expects the Spainish Inquisition
So close, but not quite. There are a few notable differences in the arrangement compared to the Monty Python version. However, I must extend massive kudos to you for tracking down what I think is the closest version available on the entire internet.
The right one is here:

So sorry for the delay in replying. It's not because of ignorance, but more down to a refusal to accept. I've listened to your link and the BBC lo-fi versions probably 200 times since you posted this, and I am forced to conclude that this is definitely, nay DEFINITIVELY the Monty Python version. Kudos for this, and many thanks. My 40 year search is over!
andrea spiga is correct the one on spotify is the right one but its ruined by a stupid laughter track but you can get it unspoilt on amazon by the artist rodney bashford and the band of grenadier guards
@@alanwilliams9081 Actually, it's the HM Coldstream Guards version that Montgomery Python used. I'm positive of that.
A feet from the sky!
In one sense, very little more could be said about the "special relationship" between the US and her mother than the mother's appreciation for a Sousa march. On the other hand my horn club in the U.S. had an arrangement of "Alte Kameraden" that we dearly loved to play. Such a strange and deadly love triangle.
No. 1
The Larch
I was fully expecting the "splat" sound when God's foot came down!
Sorry!, I took this piece from a BBC LP which plays a longer version, thus no 'splat'.
keep up the good work
One of the flay rods has gone out of skew on the treadle.
This is my ringtone
This plays in Liberty Square in Walt Disney World.
Makes sense, and there's not many times you can state that on the internet, but it does, given that the piece is called Liberty Bell..
@@alustyape I wish they would make a reboot of this show
@@jamesmartin2063 It would have to come with a
'Warning', this program contains far to much humour for the average person to watch in one sitting...
Wink wink nudge nudge say no more...
NO PAUL ! IT WAS PLAYED BY 'THE BAND OF THE GRENADIER GUARDS' LED BY 'RODNEY BASHFORD ON LONDON RECORDS . THIS DEFINITIVE RECORDING IS ON 'YOU TUBE' !
Minister of Silly Walks' March 😊
THE WAR WOUND!
this was used in killing floor games when summer side show started we can hear the remix of this music more in killing floor 1 and less in killing floor 2
Is this the right room for an argument? I ask on behalf of the Ministry of Silly Walks.
it's...
I have heard several versions of Liberty Bell most of them not very good, this is from an LP as stated from the BBC which I took as original. I would appreciate further information as to where I can find a Grenadier Guards version. Meanwhile I will do some 'digging', Thank you again..
If your still interested its available on a cd called sousa marches by the band of the grenadier guards with major Rodney Bashford, you can get it on amazon new or second hand.
Say Fuzzy Pickles!
Next, I'd like to see.... A Scotsman on a horse!
Today. I hear the robin sing. Today! The Thrushing has a wing. Today. What will life be. Today.

If your brain hurts...stop it. You're being silly!

Bon Jovi comes to mind...
BROKEN LIZARD'S FLYING CIRCUS
Excuse me, I wish to register a complaint.
You want to complain! look at these shoes, I've only had them three weeks and the heel are warn right through, if you complain nothing happens, you as well not bother.
I've come to complain about this parrot that I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique.
Oh yes, the, uh, the Norwegian Blue...What's wrong with it?
I'll tell you what's wrong with it. _It's dead._ That's what's wrong with it.
No, no, 'e's uh,...he's resting.
WHERES THE BLOODY LANCET
... MY BRAIN HURTS TOO...
The theme was picked by the American member, so it's perhaps more likely the original was an American recording.
This umm.. This is a Sousa piece... Not a month python song. Thanks.
Stark News ...Here is the news, If you knew Sousa, like we knew Sousa.
Oh, Oh, Oh What A Theme.....It's...It's, Mont!
No you're quite right, good old J.P. 1834-1932..
It was the theme for flying circus.
You forgot to add that it was composed by John Phillip Sousza. The most American man ever born.
This was played at the POTUS's inaugural concert. Even the military thinks he deserves the music preceding a clown. SAD!
Shelby Longbottom That's because it's an American military march that was taken years later, altered, and became the Monty Python rendition. But this is the original march. So congratulations on your massive failure, even if I acknowledged it 2 years later.
go out singing
