It's crazy to see someone call a $500 multi-effects pedal "cheap" when they're actually considered mid-range within the industry.
It’s definitely cheap seeing how these pedals can actual compare to the tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear they emulate.
@@TheDistortionist Sure but those are considered "expensive" not "mid-range" so, that's where ny logic stems from (the general consensus)
@@stevelife8505 No. I don't think your bottom line is the "general consensus." Also - The Mooer GE, which he raved about, and which sounds killer, is $150. How much cheaper do you want a solid piece of gear to be? $150 to $500 bucks.... for this level of gear? Heck yes.
@@jimmyz2098 Me: "500 bucks isn't cheap"
You: "What are you talking about? 150 is cheap!"
Ummm... Okay
And in my country this is sometging that only the top 1% could even dream of having hahaha
I love all of these “6 cheap __ that don’t suck” videos, I’ll watch all of them as long as y’all keep making them!
Me too, Bro! I love this stuff!
I recently picked up the pod go,and I love its ease of use and quality of tones.
I got the Zoom G3xN from my wife for Christmas last year and I've really enjoyed it.
Haha...how selfless of you....
Great demo Degan! Wow these pedalboards have improved light years from my old Boss ME-5 and Line 6GX Studio some amazing sounds out of all these!
Boss katana have great effects, then the older Roland cubes which had multi effects which were able to save personal tone selections
Boss GT1 and Boss digital modellers in general all the way!! I use it for practice, recording and gigging. Tones are incredible. Unit is durable and reliable.
Dagan rocks! Timely video, I need to get one of these.
The Mooer GE150 - The other guitar player in the band and myself and our singer (for his personal use) all own these. They heard mine and went out and got one for themselves. A lot of great sounds and features. We use these for home and band practice through the PA. They're pretty rugged.
My wife got me one for Christmas. I freaking love it. I have a standard Squier Stratocaster and a Fender Champion 40 amp and it makes my guitar sound amazing. It was $140 and I’m getting unbelievable tones with my guitar.
I've been using the boss ME 20 for 12 years. I love it.
Time to up grade 🎸
Love the bored face with the clean jazzy chords. Keep on rocking hard!
I'm a G1xfour user and I like how you reviewed the pedal.
Thankyou for thinking of us budget conscious beginners---really appreciate your help 1
Great review thank you!
Great video as always, I have the G1X four by Zoom, for just over a $100 in the USA you get 70+ effects, wah pedal, 68 drum rhythm patterns and looper along with downloadable effects, the Eric Johnson ones and Big Sky tone are amazing as downloads.
Hi Terry. I've been thinking about picking up the G1X Four. It would be my first multi-effects processor. How would you rate the ease of use?
For the price, the G1x Four is a steal... too bad most people won't take the time to actually LEARN how to use the pedal properly by READING. If they did, they would find the best deal around on a multifx pedal for ANY price. I think it can get very capable tones and can compete with pedals costing 4 or 5 time more, easily.
I am choosing between zoom g1x4 and nux mg 300? What do you think is best value?
@@socialdef3 haha no
@@byteresistor Well if you say so it must be true....Source it isn't or just your biased ignorance. (In a blind test you wouldn't have a clue which was which) Get back to watching The Pedal Show and learn how to be a cliche....Ooops! too late....
I have the Mooer GE150, and right..its sound pretty good, also with OTG connection make more easy for phone recording your playing..
Now I have no choice but to buy the Mooer just for the Electric Gypsy setting. I can't believe you just whipped AT out of your repertoire like that. 💪
I have the GT-1 & I love it.
Pod Go. Practical. Easy to use. Great number of options, and ...You can get line 6 tones. No more to say.
I own the GE150. I run it into an Orange Pedal Baby 100 into either my 4x12 or 2x12 live and it has never disappointed.
Sweeet! I'm looking at the GE150 and the GE200 right now. Do you have any experience with the 200? Common logic would say that it's much like the 150, but prolly a little better. But you know how that goes.... LOL Sometimes... not what you think. That's why I'm asking....
Great video. Well done. I keep going back to the Pod Go but I'm getting more interested in the Zoom G6 as well now.
Personally I have a NUX MG-30 and damm i love it
Definitely going with the Boss GT-1. Best value for money and versatility in my opinion. I'm sorry, but some of the others are over-priced for what you get in comparison.
Love the channel bro
Good demo, they all sound good, well done.
I used a Boss GT-100 and downsized to a GT-1 + SY-300 which I still use with my non-GK guitars; I upsized to the SY-1000 for my GK guitars. I wish Boss built the SY-1000 in a similar enclosure to the GT-1000. I used a Helix LT for awhile, and didn't want to put the effort into getting the most out of it since I was already getting good results with my Boss gear.
Still have and use my Zoom G1Xon and B1on too.
I can't speak for the others modelers on this list, but the Boss and Zoom work great for me.
I like that Headrush & The POD 6
Headrush MX5 sounds pretty good for $400 USD and I like how they offer matching powered speakers you can plug their units directly into. 🤘
I second that. Easy to gig with.
The G1X Four DOES HAVE A CABINET SIMULATOR!!!!!, You just have to turn it on in the settings of the cabinet, it's really tucked away for some reason. It sounds decent, gets the job done.
Unfortunately people don't 1. read the manual 2. go beyond the preprogrammed presets to create their own tone from scratch... too much effort for the common guitar playing twit.
I have the g1x, my next will be the g3n. Thanks for the video
I'm here for Dagan
Line 6 looks cool
Pod Go its awesome and so is Boss Gt1! And the others!
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
I own the G11 and it’s awesome.
Pod go + worship tutorials patches for Sundays = you’ll get the pastors compliments
i used a moore 100 but i had it for some time, and finally switched to kemper stage!!!!
Headrush sounds great to me that's my choose
Kids today have all this tech, i couldn’t afford a guitar in the 70s but I had to make do without
Pedal to the metal!
I have a PodGo, and I think it is awesome. Granted I'm just a bedroom guitarist that just plays with friends occasionally. I have no 'tour experience' with it, but for what it is, as a casual toy, it is awesome!
I've got a zoom g1x. Its Basically a junk drawer of "everything". For $80 it's a steal
you called a PodGo "casual toy", yea maybe you suck at guitar XD

Sweet review, please review 150 dollar multi effect pedals! If you picked one, I felt like it would be the line6 pod? Ouch, I’ll sell something. Beats buying 100’s of pedals amp 25 amps! I guess it is cheap for what your getting.
'relatively cheap' would be more accurate. With the exception of the little Zoom and maybe the boss G1. They're all in the 'need to budget for it' category for me. And I 'pull in' a good salary.
Maybe u are just"relatively cheap"... 😂
@@ericwarrington6650 I prefer 'frugal'.
@@sj_-_ lol...I'm smart w my $ as well...if I deem something worthy I'll lay it down no prob...after a while we all kinda dial in sharper w effects..
Compared to Helix, Kemper, Quad Cortex, Axe-FX, even Boss GT-1000, these are all relatively inexpensive options.
I used a Boss GT-100, downsized to the GT-1 + SY-300 as my main rig, and I sold my Helix LT, it was that good, and I took the time to learn how to get what I want from my Boss gear. I still use my GT-1 + SY-300 for my guitars without GK; I also have the SY-1000 for my GK guitars. For digital modelers direct to FRFR, I use Boss and Zoom because I can get them to work great for me.
None of these modelers, from the lowest price to the highest, are "plug and play" - you need to tweak and learn the systems to get the most from them with the rest of your gear. IME.
Agree with the OP... most of these are only "cheap" when compared to the super-expensive equivalents. Not very useful since if something costs £10,000 then a "cheap" alternative could still be £1,000... still far more than the average hobbyist can afford without serious saving.
New to multi effects pedals. Hoping someone can help me with this question. I know the different multi effects pedals offer different bells and whistles and quality build. My question is about the tone only. Do all pedals have the same quality of 'tone'? Clean and distortion? Do all the tones mirror solid state amp tones? Its not about price just tones.
The Boss GT-1 is so good for the price and it’s small size, that I rarely take any of my other effects units with me when traveling anymore. It sounds as good as my GT1000 and Helix, but is less than half the size and 1/5th the price. It literally fits inside the pocket in my gig bag, and if I’m not near an outlet, I can just pop some batteries in it and some headphones, and jam anywhere. So convenient.
Could you please tell me how you ran these into that Marshall cab what and where is the microphone
Much thanks
So if I wanted a let's say TC flanger and a boss ch1 I can get that in one of these ??? I'm very new guitar and bass player and have little to no experience but also don' really want to buy 50 pedals to find out I just need 3 to get the tone I want, so I guess I would be looking first as a thing to save me some money and still get some experience with different sounds
Thanks bro!!!! moeer ge150
I want a multieffect and lean towards the Mooer GE250...
Before I say anything about Zoom multi effects there is one thing always looked over and that is a noise gate. Zoom noise gate on there multi effects pedals are awesome. There's people who buy Zoom multi effects pedals only for the noise gate and never use anything else. They also do great with modulation. Again, there's people who only use them for their chorus, phazer, flanger and reverb. Zoom makes great multi effects pedals. I currently own the G1 Four and the older GFX 1. Had the G2 but it quit after 13 years. Some people can't say enough bad things about Zoom and usually it's because they've never owned one and hate all multi effects pedals. A few people who don't like them actually did own one but only for a short time because they were never told about the secret of Zoom pedals. It can be a little frustrating and time consuming but the secret to Zoom pedals is patience. You have to dial them in. It's not frustrating to me because I like to mess with the settings to see what kind of sounds/tones I can get out of it but honestly, that's with any pedal regardless of brand or if it's a multi effects or a simple single effect stompbox. The one thing I don't like is Zoom makes creating and saving patches on the G1 Four a little more difficult than it needs to be. It's simple to do on the G2 and GFX 1. Why can't it be just as easy on the G1 Four? Don't let that discourage you because Zoom makes great pedals. I will admit that some of their overdrive and distortion could use some work because even though I don't mind some tweaking, these reqiure a lot but the octave fuzz is decent. Ok. Im done with my Zoom fanboy rant. Sorry it was so long.
How come the Nux MG30 was not in this review?
I always run into clean channel amp...just what I do.
An actual affordable list for someone who play electric guitar as a sparetime hobby. My old old G2 need to retire no doubt.
wish i could play as well as you
If i want an almost organic sound for drive/gain effects, i would go to Zoom G6. But if you will look for ambient effects, zoom G6 lacks of it, its delay and reverbs lack of parameter options. Just my 2 cents.
Dude i gotta ask. Where did you get this processor stand??
Is there a way to just use the effects in these pedals without the amp modeling, so you can just replace a pedal board and use your Amp Head???
The G1 has cab sims the mic is just off by default.
These days I use the Boss ME 80, I have a line 6 Amplifi 100 but I can’t get on with it.
18:18 Sounds like Dimebag Darrell
Line 6 is not cheap. and no Nux? Anyway, big fan of Dagan as always.
Ohhh no, you didn't!!! you tested them with that beautiful Pacer!!!
Annnnd I'm still using a POD HD500 that I bought used, in 2020 😅
Line 6pod go
Can i connect multi FX to my speaker or headphone? PlZ ANSR me
What is that thing attached to the tremolo near the low E string? Is that a jack adapter?
i think evh started it, correct me if i’m wrong but if you pull it it automatically puts your e string to d, so the floyd rose can go to drop d easily without trouble
Anybody out there seeing this.... that can compare the Mooer GE150 to the newer GE200? Is the 200 slightly upgraded & better? Or is it a whole different thing? You know how that goes... sometimes a company * doesn't * upgrade an already great product. But changes it for the worse. Just wondering if anyone has, or has tried both.
Can you connect these direct into a set of powered speakers ?
yes, most offer a configuration setting to turn on/off amp/cab/mic simulation. That's how I use my modelers, direct to powered PA speakers.
I still use an effect pedal board with my amps.
If i use my amp as a speaker, will this impact the character of the tone?
Gt-1 rockssss
Can we have some Bass pedals, please?
Can you run the Mooer directly into the PA system?
Yes you can. Just run a cable out to a DI box and from the DI box it goes into the PA.
No NUX MG30? It's been a huge hit this year and it's very affordable...
Probably omitted because they don’t sell it at PMT...
@@stapeld Well, they should ;)
If these are the cheap ones, there should be similar functions ones, just high end... are there any?
Is there a modeller that does not cost the earth and can be used for the various effects then put to silent whilst I used my amps sounds then go straight back into the modeller?????? Have the headrush pedalboard doe not do this (but kept), bought the pod go as I was told this did it, it did not so sold it, looking for an adaptable modeller that does what I need but I'm not buying any until I know it 100% does what I need, fed up of wasting money
How much is the cheapest processor here in Indian Rupees?
I think 1 Pound equals 80 to 90 of our Rupees all things considered.
where is nux mg30?
G1 is almost cheap, others are relatively expensive in my country
I can’t be the only one that’s blown away by the GE 150?! That thing is cheap AF and put a lot of the other pedals to shame with some of the tones

Lovely Dagan, 2021
Do any of them downtune options?
Line 6 pod go. It has pitch shifter effect to lower and raise tunings
It feels good to see what Johnny Depp is doing with his life after the defamation case
Buyer beware in the USA! Some companies offer very limited warranties like Boss/Roland 90 days. Moore's website makes no mention of any warranties. Ridiculous.
I owned the pod go for a couple of years and for metal tones is just useless... also there is some midrange noise very weird that you won't hear in other multipedal
Now we know why musician was the right career pathway as opposed to maths teacher! :)
The Mooer sounded great. Shame about the Headrush, the interface is nice but doesn't sound as good as the others.
Don't buy Headrush, I have one and it just stop working... result of their cheap parts in building
The headrush one is like £400! How is that cheap?
How cheap is ‘cheap’
I don´t see *cheap* here...
To my ears the Zoom units sounds very digital/artificial compared to the others. The Line6 and Headrush sounds best.
Had a zoom 3030 multi effects unit back in the 90's and all the distortion/overdrive tones were horrible
Zoom has come a long way. I have been using their products since the 90's and the quality is improving. As a cheap Swiss Army knife of tones, its ok. Zoom pedals are cheap here in Asia.
Cab sims were off for the G1 Four
if this is cheap for him i DO NOT want to see what he finds expensive
