Brace for maximum awesome as RazörFist revisits the 1986 Stallone action classic "Cobra". Warning - Contains cow defecation and liberal pepperings of the word 'fuck'.
Razorfist you are possibly the only one who gets action films. Now we have pretentious know nothings who think they are being smart by wanting a "deep" story.
You know what the best part about that fucking ridiculous gun on the cover is? It's a real fucking gun. The Jatimatic sometimes had that weird laser sight thing on top, had a barrel at a 7 degree angle upward from the receiver, a progressive trigger instead of a fire selector switch, and was cocked- somewhat like a shotgun- with it's foregrip. Oh yeah, and Razor's question of why an SMG (often thought of as inaccurate, jumpy bullet hoses) has a laser sight is kind of misinformed; but his concern is actually addressed by that weirdly angled barrel, the bolt "breaks" in the receiver in a direction away from the rear of the barrel, reducing recoil. Crazy Finnish gun designing bastards.
Rolf Hartmann I dunno about you, but I don't have another smaller dong sticking out of the top of my gadget, much less one that uses the stimulated emission of radiation to project beams of light. Not saying it wouldn't be cool as fuck, but still.
I have a Jatimatic airsoft from the 80s that was blatantly marketed as a tie-in to this movie. It is one of my most prized material possessions, and I am not ashamed to admit that. The Cobra we got was actually _neutered_. The first cut came back from the MPAA with an X rating.
SpenceDaFence He also played one of the German's friends in 'The Three Amigos!' and a Klingon in one episode of the second season of Star Trek The Next Generation. Episode: A Matter of Honor.
Actually... Stallone's Rambo is fucking REASONABLE compared to the dude in the book. He almost becomes like his literary near the end of First Blood, but Trautman has him desist (hence the breakdown). Book Rambo is gone off the deep end the moment he escapes from the police station...
+Rageaholic @4:00 - I actually saw Cobra in the theater - on opening day. And went back to see it again 3 more times during its initial run. You jelly? :D
+Darin Conard I did too but I had to wait to watch it again the next weekend at the theater but I did grab it as soon as it came out on VHS. Since my VCR has long since crapped out I'm DLing all of those great action movies from the era as well as the Dirty Harry franchise. These CGI crapfests they insultingly call movies today need to be flushed with the rest of the shit.
Razorfist please, for the love of God and man and all things holy or unholy, make a Rageaholic Cinema for Roadhouse. If there is any overacted, cheesefest, cornball 80s action movie that deserves the Rageaholic treatment, it's fucking Roadhouse. It is the 1989 culmination to a decade full of one-liner spouting, roundhouse kicking, mulleted, inexplicably-trained kung fu master action heroes. I beg of you, make that video.
I worked in a movie theater when this came out. I saw this bad-ass flick more times than I can count. I also knew exactly when to walk over to that theater for the car chase scene.
I was at the end of 5th grade and I remember going to see Cobra with my cousin and uncle. I couldn't believe in my 11 year old mind on how freaking cool that car chase was back then in 1986. The next week I saw No retreat no surrender in the theater. Back when the movie theater played B rate movies, something that doesn't happen anymore. Back to Cobra, I just purchased the shout factory blu ray and found out that it was Stallone that actually directed the movie.
Cobretti wins! Fatality! My mind was literally blown when I found out the main villain ended up being Shao Kahn in the shitfest that was Mortal Kombat Annihilation.
GabeShadow666 Brian Thompson has done a ton of movies and shows. Hell, he's even played a Klingon or two in Star Trek The Next Generation. He's damn good at playing henchmen or the main bad guy most of the time, with MK Annihilation being one of the few exceptions (but that was due to just a shitty script and many other factors as well).
If I may draw your attention to how balls to the wall awesome Cobra's car is - most cars have speed gauges that provide you with ample room to see speeds your needle will never reach, Cobretti's machine is so damn badass that the needle reaches top speed and then just keeps on going.
Razor fist should really do The issing i action trilogy, Hard ticket to Hawaii, the delta force, Robo cop, the rambo movies, terminator 1&2, Road house, & Big Trouble in Little China!
Well, Razor having at least one more neuron than every other person I've heard say the word "machismo", confirmed. Everyone pronounces the CH as the C in car. You are performing admirably, Razorfist. I think.
I know i'm late as hell but the thing with video games is that 1) They cost a lot more when they are brand new and 2) They take more time to complete whether it be 5 hours or even 40 hours so you expect a bit more of a pay off in the end.
I hang with my film buff friends and they say that this film was very well shot and made. Even the ridiculous Brigette Neilson Montage scene. It's basically a very well done movie that does more with a ok plot that most movies dont with a great plot, which was essentially a Beverly Hills Cop rejected script.
We need a fucking Time Maschine NOW to watch these movies when they were in the Cinema. You know that place were people only go these days to watch Star Wars VII
As much as I enjoy Stallone's First Blood, I much prefer the novel. Rambo was truly insane and the sheriff chasing him had a extra dimension that was lacking in the film adaptation. I would say the last Rambo film was far closer to the literary counterpart than the previous movies.
Didn't realize "Rambo" was based on a book. Should've known. I thought it was based on another movie that came out two years earlier. It starred Dirk Benedict and Linda Blair, it was called "Ruckus". Same basic story, 'Nam vet traveling through a small town and gets harassed by the local sheriff. Turns into a manhunt. Vet uses his combat skills, blah, blah, blah.
In First Blood, didn't Rambo only kill one guy, and his death was more accidental? And, the ending was Rambo breaking down and crying? Anyways, First Blood was still one of my favorites of all time. :P
OMG!!! I just saw your latest 2 videos...the first time I ever came across your channel. In the comment I left, I said I didn’t know what gen you were from but based on your banter and the heavy metal, I would guess gen x... then made comment about nuclear war and red dawn movie. Lol!!! Yes!!!! The 80s was about dudes being dudes and women being women....muscle cars, muscle trucks and the chick wanting to sit by his side!! ‘Cuz the constant fear of stiff pop’pn off was at any time, & we girls knew it would be the men who would be our defenders!! Omg!!! Our movies, our music was bad azz!!! It was an amazing decade of masculinity...unapologic!! Dudes might have wore tights w big purged out hair as they played mayor rock ballods as the videos would shoot images of major bulges in their pants as tawny katain danced nearly naked on the hood of a car!! How is our generation sandwiched between the flower hippies of the boomers and the millennials/gen z’zers?!? Which the back half has done nothing but constant remakes of movies btwn 80-90s and they took music which was so diverse in genre and have made it all the same computer auto tuned blandness!!! Who isn’t nostalgic for that time! Our youth/coming of age... greatest cinematography ever!!! Guys/ girls didn’t matter!! We wanted to see stuff blow up with lots of crashes!!
the 80's had some of the best movies ever made.
Not to mention the best music.
Birth of hip hop too
except for this pile of shit
Razorfist you are possibly the only one who gets action films. Now we have pretentious know nothings who think they are being smart by wanting a "deep" story.
gimme deep story pls
lets not forget the Drinker.
You know what the best part about that fucking ridiculous gun on the cover is? It's a real fucking gun. Crazy Finnish gun designing bastards.
Mister Bones The question more becomes why does a hero of an 80's movie need a laser sight. My answer: to make the gun even more phalic.
Rolf Hartmann
I dunno about you, but I don't have another smaller dong sticking out of the top of my gadget, much less one that uses the stimulated emission of radiation to project beams of light. Not saying it wouldn't be cool as fuck, but still.
Finland. Be afraid. Very afraid. Finland doesn't deal with psychos.
> Crazy Finnish gun designing bastards.
Thank you, sir!
I have a Jatimatic airsoft from the 80s that was blatantly marketed as a tie-in to this movie. It is one of my most prized material possessions, and I am not ashamed to admit that.
The Cobra we got was actually _neutered_. The first cut came back from the MPAA with an X rating.
Wow... thats interesting.. was even better
Dafuq did they cut?
The villain is played by Brian Thompson. He also played the punk rocker who get's his heart ripped out in The Terminator
Cool fact. Never knew that.
***** lol
SpenceDaFence He played one of dhe vampires in dhe television series, "Kindred".
Falsetymology And Buffy
SpenceDaFence He also played one of the German's friends in 'The Three Amigos!' and a Klingon in one episode of the second season of Star Trek The Next Generation. Episode: A Matter of Honor.
If I ever meet Stallone I'll ask him the one and only question everyone should ask him. WHERE THE HELL IS THE UNCUT VERSION OF COBRA?
lol. just don't ask him how he got the nickname "The Italian Stallion"
In his pants
@Austin Lenard Really? Good to know. Has anyone asked him about the workprint before though?
My dad took me to see this in the movies. We both walked out with big grins on our faces. I love this movie!
Actually... Stallone's Rambo is fucking REASONABLE compared to the dude in the book. He almost becomes like his literary near the end of First Blood, but Trautman has him desist (hence the breakdown). Book Rambo is gone off the deep end the moment he escapes from the police station...
The recording quality is nastalgic.
+Rageaholic

DefCon1966 yeah, they were so much better when they weren't designed by committee weren't they?
Darin Conard Absolutely man
0:00 a legend was born
9:15-9:19
Somehow that last line may have aged better then expected
This was on eof the 1st movies I saw growing up in Soviet Russia, translatd from english.
82vunit congratulations
Good job comarade
It's crazy how this man has not aged a day.
Razorfist or Stallone?
Either way, the answer is yes.
I remember seeing a tagline for this somewhere saying "missed rocky? Cobra's your cure"
I bought that film on VHS back in 1998. I did not disappoint!
You haven't aged a day. I love your stuff.
Fucking love Cobra. The cover is one of the best ever.
I miss the 80s.
I wasn't even born yet and I miss the 80's. It seems so much more awesome.
Has it really been 30 years since this movie came out (and I saw it in the theater)?
Damn, I'm old.
great flick BTW.
Know the feeling 😂
I must know your opinion of Big Trouble in Little China!
My favorite movie of all time.
You are amazing. Seriously, you should do Robocop, Roadhouse and Tango and Cash
Yep Tango & Cash! Kurt Russel was a Patriot to the end demanding to be killed by an American in the prison😂
Fuck yes this film was great
I fucking loved the 80s. Raxorfist understands action movies.
that cobra cover is fuckin boss one of my fav movie covers!!!! btw good review👍
The Rageaholic Damn, your quality has gone WAY up over the years. Still, nice job for a first video.
Love the Motley Crue shirt. Classic Crue in the 80's ruled.
"Sylvester Fuckin' Stallone?" That was 3 words. :D
I worked in a movie theater when this came out. I saw this bad-ass flick more times than I can count. I also knew exactly when to walk over to that theater for the car chase scene.
action films were the "Torture porn" of the eighties lol
I remember cobra's partner having a wicked sweet tooth. Even asking for gummi bears from his hospital bed😂
This movie taught me to be ASSERTIVE!!!!!
Cobra was so badass he ate pizza with scissors and gloves
"Go ahead, I don't shop here..."
Dude , your videos are awesome. Comedic timing is top notch sir. I think Stallone is at the door...
Fucking awesome. I myself have a soft spot for mindless 80s movies. I think I'm gonna love the fuck out of this channel.
Great review of a classic badass action movie.
Not to mention one of the most underrated soundtracks of the 80s.
Sylvester LeVay has a lot of great soundtracks.
Stone Cold (1991) is my favorite of his.
It's been over 10 years since you made this. Life is short. Watch Cobra.
Gotta have that murder factory. Can't do without it in an 80s action flick.
Oh I have it! This, Praedator and Invasion USA are my holy trinity of 80s action flicks!
I just noticed that's the MF DOOM mask at 1:55.
One of my favorite action films, something about COBRA just works in every fucking way!
If I may draw your attention to how balls to the wall awesome Cobra's car is - most cars have speed gauges that provide you with ample room to see speeds your needle will never reach, Cobretti's machine is so damn badass that the needle reaches top speed and then just keeps on going.
Huh, so you were born good at this stuff. Nearly ten years of quality delivery
The movie poster that inspired Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.
Razor fist should really do The issing i action trilogy, Hard ticket to Hawaii, the delta force, Robo cop, the rambo movies, terminator 1&2, Road house, & Big Trouble in Little China!
Cobra 2 should be about Cobretti hunting down terrorists.
Random leftard: "But he didn't get a trial, Cobra! Slippery slope!"
I remember that movie. It was great. The cover got seared into my memory it was so badass.
This is where the binge starts, and my life ends!
One month later: Bin Laden is dead. Coincidence? Not fuckin' likely. Stallone took this as a challenge.
Best opening segment to a film ever.
Such a great flick.
And so begins my catch up journey, starting with Season 1 of RazorFist
One of the best. You could sell your one liners. That's how Woody Allen started out.
The birth of razorfists aviator identity
Rage/Razor....this was wildly entertaining!!!
Hey Rage... any chance to get reviews of the Expendables just for shits and giggles? Love all these. So funny and so truthful.
my god, the roasts are unreal, in other words great first video Razorfist
Also Brigitte Nielsen is actually taller than Stallone......... Let that sink in :P
SpenceDaFence My friend, I'm taller than Stallone, and I'm 5'10" in my biggest goddamn boots.
Bam! I'm sold, boss. Next time I get some time to seea movie, I'm going for _Cobra_ . I'm taking it.
Well, Razor having at least one more neuron than every other person I've heard say the word "machismo", confirmed. Everyone pronounces the CH as the C in car. You are performing admirably, Razorfist. I think.
Today has been a crazy day. First i see you without aviators . . . and now i see you in color. . . . crazy crazy day
I love that delivery of "What-the-fuck-ever" haha
I know i'm late as hell but the thing with video games is that 1) They cost a lot more when they are brand new and 2) They take more time to complete whether it be 5 hours or even 40 hours so you expect a bit more of a pay off in the end.

good movie
Your profile! XD
Great movie, but I cried a bit when they crashed the 1950 Mercury Monterey. I hate when movies destroy a classic.
We need a fucking Time Maschine NOW to watch these movies when they were in the Cinema.
You know that place were people only go these days to watch Star Wars VII
Raz0r. this vid needs to be revisited, because it doesn’t fit into your current pantheon of high quality that you have right now.
I had the Cobra poster on my wall. Lol
Machismo needs a comeback HARD
this is absolutely the greatest movie review ever!!!
As much as I enjoy Stallone's First Blood, I much prefer the novel. Rambo was truly insane and the sheriff chasing him had a extra dimension that was lacking in the film adaptation. I would say the last Rambo film was far closer to the literary counterpart than the previous movies.
***** Exactly. I can take the film adaption as a good entertainment but if I want the substance I have to turn to the book.
HOW IS THIS GUY NOT ON TGWTG!?
Ramboraph4life would approve of this video 👍🏽
The best Punisher movie.
It's movies like these that led to the glorious Mad Bull 34.
Didn't realize "Rambo" was based on a book. Should've known. I thought it was based on another movie that came out two years earlier. It starred Dirk Benedict and Linda Blair, it was called "Ruckus". lmao this has got to be my favorite razorfist video. Stallone...is coming...FOR YOU!
Best part is his car
That hook scene.....Holy shit
COBRA!
Yo Joe!
alex jones
* Pauses video at 2:24 * proceeds to furiously scribble notes........
The wolf among us poster
Marion Cobretti
Best action shooter ever, worst possible 1st name ever
Still looks fucking awesome
What do you think about the Expendables movies?
In First Blood, didn't Rambo only kill one guy, and his death was more accidental? And, the ending was Rambo breaking down and crying? Anyways, First Blood was still one of my favorites of all time. :P
what were you filming this with ? 8mm film ?
Loved the 80s.
I remember watching this on late night TV....great fucking movie
DAMN I saw my brown 1973 Ford F-150 truck! WHOO! I'm stealing "The Buttcrack of Nowhere."
OMG!!! I just saw your latest 2 videos...the first time I ever came across your channel. In the comment I left, I said I didn’t know what gen you were from but based on your banter and the heavy metal, I would guess gen x... then made comment about nuclear war and red dawn movie. Lol!!!

Heavy Metal Spoony, right there.
