I ended the year with less than I started with but that is only because I decided to stop hoarding some of my savings and I used them on my niece and nephew. Everytime I see that you're saving $20 an icon for your house insurance I freak and am about to tell you to up it. Then I remember our $17,000 insurance bill is for the house, the 300ac working farm, 3 cars, a tractor, a dozer, a horse float and a camper trailer. 🤦♀️ And i think, carry on Caroline you'll be fine.
Wowzers! Thats a hefty insurance will! But if you live out there on a large property you need insurance hey? It’s devastating when you hear about someone rural losing their homes to fires, or other issues and they say they didn’t have insurance 😫
@CAROCASH exactly. Every year when the bill comes I have a minor panic attack. It increased from $11,000 last year so had an entire freak out this renewal. But we added three machines ($280,000 worth of dozer) so it makes sense. Just still getting used to the costs involved with farming!
You’ve achieved some mega goals the last couple years! Great work! At what point do you plan to start house shopping? The area of Canada I am in, houses cost at least 350,000 so you have to save quite a bit for a down payment. Thankfully? I managed a 20% down payment when I bought mine ten years ago. What’s the area of Australia you are in like?

@@CAROCASH Me too! I’ve decided for my rollover if I get paid any extra than I’m expecting (I work in healthcare so my pay fluctuates) then whatever extra there is I’ll withdraw it and add it into rollover, hoping to have big savings by December 2024 🤑
