For over a year I did my budget using excel. I've just recently figured out how I really like it organized. I wanted to switch to paper. None of the available templates I found were what I wanted. Canva to the rescue. Fully agree, you don't need to buy an expensive planner. I'd avoid it unless you test planning out and know that layout will work for you.
What distinguishes you, Jordan, is that your budget plan is not as fancy and complicated as all the budgets I see others have. You are truly creative and I learn a lot from you. Thank you and I wish you the best in your life ♥️
Life is overwhelming and very chaotic for me right now so I’m going to scale back and simplify my budget and how I keep on track. Thanks for this video.
I watched til about the middle then went and got a notebook for spending that unfortunately had not used in a long time and added up all my non-essential debit card spending beginning in September;( I honestly wanted to be 🤢!) I get my first bi-weekly p/t pay tomorrow and I am determined to stuff my envelopes and keep track of ALL receipts! Wish me luck. BTW; I did watch to the end. Thanx for your encouragement! Oh; I also canceled all but one Streaming channel!
This for me budgeting and saving has been so hard, I loved this video for all its great ideas. Thanks for your positive attitude towards budgeting, it really is spires me to keep trying. 😊
You talk about getting back to basics so I would love to see you sit down and do a video on your monthly budget line by line. Then do weekly check ins on what you spent in each catagory.
Another great video always fun to see you upload a new video. Continued prayers for you and the boys and family and much happiness and success in your new little home!
Love the back to basics approach. This last year I have focused on our weekly spending this next year I want to dive in to more of the bills aspect of our budget to get us where we want to be.
Hey Girl Hey!! ♥ Never change! Love your scatteredness! lol Trying to get back to tracking. So overwhelmed! Many subscriptions thanks to the kids. Poor dears better love them before I cancel them! lol
I have recently simplified my categories for tracking purposes. I had so many and I found I wasn't tracking. I just bought a pocket size weekly planner for my purse amd each time I buy something g I wrote it on the day in the book. At the end of each week I add up the totals. (I think this idea may have come from your dollar store haul video) I broke it down into 6 categories : food, house, car, activities, health and wellness, and personal which is anything that is purchased for anyone in the family that isn't in the other categories. I highlight each one a different color and 6 is way more doable than the 12-15 I used to have.
I've always written our bills in a notebook and marked them off when paid, but just started budgeting about 3 years ago also. I still use the notebook but, I also use budgeting pages in a binder now. Double check myself, so that I don't miss anything!
I sure hope you are scanning your receipts into Fetch 😂. I personally like to save my points until closer to Christmas time and see how many Chrismas presents i can buy for the grandbabies.
This is my weekly budget $365 now I am a 70 year old legally blind woman living on an extremely small Social Security check and that is all I get. I have no side hustles I have no savings this is all I have to work with so now you know what an actual tight budget looks like.
@@anitaboddington4837 Anita have you thought about sharing how you live on your budget? It might be eye opening for some or perhaps you have tips for others to stretch your dollar.
We would love to now that we are settled! ❤️ I hope to start a garden next spring and if it goes well we will get a greenhouse to keep it going in the colder months. ❤️❤️❤️
