Good job. I just bought a laser line to add to my saw and now I feel like I should do this solution instead. Luckily I've got a bunch of LED strip in the shop. Cheers!
@@tiganulroscat5107 I’m sure that is posible to adapt the lights no doubt by adding your own switch! Can you please tell me the exact model number of Miter saw you have?
@Rexxthespecialist hi Rexx, I just bought the DLS110Z , coming from a DeWalt I really miss the shadow. There is a cutout for the switch but it's blanked off, it also has the identical black plastic arrangement at the front of the guard. Any help appreciated, great videos 👍
nice work! thank you for sharing 👍🏽
Thanks 😊 it took me few hours but I’m glad that someone like it!

I definitely like the brightness of the laser, but the precision of the shadows is unmatched that’s why I decided to convert my saw.
I have everything to do the job but the Miter Saw 😭
Use a sewing machine light which is much brighter and comes in plastic enclosure + transformer.
Nice! Do you have a link of those products?
I will add it to the description and helps others!
Well, now I have another project to do!
Only problem is.... Now I have less of a reason to upgrade to the 40v XGT version...
Lol 😝 I guess you can invest that money into a different tool/upgrade.
If my Mitre saw ( same model) doesn't have the laser, can I still make it work with the light?
Not sure 🤔 (does yours have the toggle switch?)
No. Can I buy it separate from Makita and mount it?
