WHAT???? You just said in your other video that Angelfish were difficult for beginners, and yet in here you say they are excellent for beginners. I used to breed fancy goldfish: easy, but a lot of work, just like you said because of the large bio-load. I LOOOOOOVE your videos!! Keep them coming! ;) I wish you were in the US! I'd stock my tanks with your fish. I have a 90 gallon and a 55 gallon.
I was just gonna post the same thing... This just proves that you shouldn't trust people on the internet as "professionals". Good thing he is ignoring you. I hope this comment makes it to the top. @@feenie8855 I guess this shows that it depends on how much you care you put onto your fish. Angelfish may be "easy" if you are fuzzy about your fish; but a little hard to keep and breed if you don't want to do much work....? I don't know. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Great video...its nice to see a different opinion on beginner fish. Betta's are usually at the top of most list, i was surprised it did not even feature. Keeps these videos coming. Thanks
Hobbyists unanimously consider White Cloud Mountain Minnow s to be much hardier than Neon Tetras (which are actually relatively fragile). Albeit, the tetras probably look nicer.
Personally I'd recommend harlequin rasboras over neon tetras. Much hardier but often overlooked in favor of them Interestingly they're also in the same family as white clouds and zebra danios, both considered to be some of the hardiest fish, while tetras in general are usually very sensitive to water quality despite their immense popularity
... Plecos are awesome. How can anyone not want one? That said, my first pleco was a sailfin that was mislabeled as a common pleco - which was problematic enough. It wasn't long before it had to go live in someone else's heated pond. But it was a beautiful fish the last time I saw it!
I personally think they're quite big for me . I don't mind big fish but just plecos is one tank is not that interesting and I cant fit other fish if they grow that big
My first pleco was a common that my parents got as an algae eater for our 55-gallon. He was still my favorite fish and I love plecos so much, but next time I'll be sticking with a bristlenose. I'll still be sure to spoil them with plenty of food like my old common was
Thank you. We have just started with tropical fish and started with guppies!! Not a good idea. I got 6 2 weeks ago and only have 2 now. So I will try out some of these as mentioned by you.
I want to try endlers still I have heard they are very hardy. Fancy guppies weren't good though the whole school died off pretty fast :( I had 2 males with 4 females
Are there any small fish that last long? I’d like something like a neon tetra but that does not only live for 2 years. Or something that replenishes it’s school population over time without over breeding…? I’ve spent like 50 dollars total replacing neon tetras that keep dying in my 55 gallon tank :/. I like the neon tetras but if they keep dying off like that then I guess I can’t keep buying them.
I had albino corys and they were the only fish I've breed from eggs (wasn't trying). Many survived in a small tank with minimal effort with neons, platties and angels.
I have 6 diff types of fish. I recently got 4 black tetras. looked good for 5 days. got covered in spots. all died 3 days later. Thought maybe ich...but all other fish still look good ??
I’m saving up for a 15 or 20 gallon tank and this video helped so much! I’m going to make it freshwater and give it a coral reef theme. Do you guys have any suggestions for what kind of fish I should get?(Im just starting btw.)
when cleaning the fish tank, and replacing the water as you said, do you have to remove the fishes and place in a bag to re-adjust, or just leave them in and refill the tank?

I still feel like goldfish are definitely not beginner friendly. Commons get absolutely massive and fancies can still get close to ten inches. They need an incredibly large amount of water that most beginners just don’t have and fancies get ill so often that they’re really not a good beginner fish.
I used to have an Oscar chichlid and he was a killer, one time i found a frog and um, i actually threw the frog in his tank and he ate it...he also killed his first tank mate and ate a baby pleco which was a good thing cause they get big, he die tho, maybe from age, he usually eats worms but rarely other stuff like that frog i gave him ;-;

Bristlenose plecos and kuhli loaches are not centerpiece fish. They both hide, they're mainly bottom dwellers, and they're not the most colourful fish. Good centerpiece fish are sparkling gouramis, samurai gouramis, and powder blue gouramis. Some more centerpiece fish are bettas, killifish, and apistogramma cichlids. Angels and goldfish dont make good beginners. Angels are semi aggressive and require a large tank. Goldfish also require a large tank and produce a lot of bio load. Not a lot of people have a 40+ gallon tank because they're so expensive. I don't reccomend those for beginners.

These are ALMOST the exact same fish that you said were NOT good beginner fish 🤔
He contradicts himself a lot.
I was literally thinking the same exact thing. 😂😂 like angel fish, goldfish boras ect all bad for beginners. Like make it make sense my guy.
He also said that it was a neon but it was a cardnl

Man, he's sexy as hell. 😍😍
Glad to hear neon tetras are pretty easy, that’s what I had in mind to get once my plants grow a little more dense
I think Zebra danios ate underrated, mine are so hardy and interesting to watch. x

Hi 😁 I havé à question: can you tell me wich fish can go together in a 10-20 gallon aquarium for a beginner ?
I would recommend guppies and other livebearers, small tetras, and cory cats.
A hamster
I bred my corydoras in a community aquarium. I started out with 4 now I have 13.
I'm not interested in breeding fish, would it be okay to just have one angel fish in a community tank, or are they happiest when kept in groups?
they can get very aggressive when fully frown and they are likely to bully smaller fish
