Sanding complete, really pleased with the results, it was very hard work and the hire kit clearly doesn’t have the dust extraction that your kit has!
I’ve bit the bullet and ordered the Easy Prime & Supra At….hoping that I’ll get more years of use out of it before it needs doing again!
The Supra is a 2 coat system….would there be any benefit to putting a 3rd coat on….so primer, 1st coat Supra, light sand then a further 2 coats Supra?
Or would that be overkill and affect the finished look?
Also can you do maintenance coats further down the line?
Thanks again for all your advice on this, it’s made a tuff job a little bit easier 😊

So if you have enough left then yes apply a 3rd coat of supra, your floor will be very tuff 👍🏼 as it’s so expensive make sure you use it.
      WELL DONE 👏🏼 😊

To put further coats on down the line, all you need to do is key the floor with 120g with the grain, just do it very lightly and vacuum then apply supra again 👍🏼

Excellent videos very satisfying to watch!
I am considering refurbishing my hallway oak floor, the current finish has gone a bit orange over time. Could you recommend a hardwesring finish for a busy residential hallway, that won’t go orangey and will keep the oak a natural looking colour.?

@@darky1972 thank you for your kind words, I 100% recommend (Loba Invisable 2K) I will warn you it’s not cheap. But you pay for what you get. I can also if you need it tell you where to get it from 😊

Thanks, appreciate the advice if you could let me know where to purchase that would be great…also can you advise what product to use to fill small gaps between planks, I’ve read about mixing resin with the sawdust and also about putty type filler?
Again, what would you recommend and where to purchase?
      Thanks

@@darky1972 here is the website to the company where you can get the lacquer & filler (LECOL resin filler )from. Just mention me Timbers Flooring when you call them, they deliver next day as long as you order before 3pm,
      khr-online.com/?GBP&
I recommend using the sawdust created from the edge sanding mixed with the lecol resin filler. SawDust from the main belt machine is too fluffy.

Standby for the stupid question!….Before I order any products, just wanted to check something with you….what is the Loba finish like for cleaning afterwards? Realistically will need something that we can put a damp mop over….would the Loba finish be okay with that or should I be looking at a different finish?

Hi, just after some further advice if possible?
After watching all your videos many times over! and researching products I’ve decided I’d prefer a satin finish to the floor.
Sanding day will be this week so I need to settle on a product.
I can see in your videos you have used
Loba easy finish & Loba 2k Supra At
Can you offer some advice on these products?
Ease of use/ drying times/finish/ durability/ and which you’d recommend for an oak floor.
    Thanks!

@@darky1972 hi fella. So supra and easy finish with give you the same look on your floor and you put them both on the exact same way, (I use a paint pad and short pile microfibre roller.)
The supra is around £150 for 1 5L tub but is the very best on the market for durability and tuff-ness. It’s also a 2 part lacquer where you add the hardener to it.
However most domestic houses really do not need this type of lacquer.
Easyfinish is one of the tuffest single part lacquers, (no hardener is needed.)
For a domestic house this is a very good finish to have and you won’t have to worry about mixing up the correct amount of hardener.
It is also £80 ish a 5L tub so much more affordable.
I love them both but I use Easyfinish on much/many more jobs.
Drying times 1st coat 30mins ish
      2nd coat 1 hour ish
Light sand when really dry possibly the next day.
      3rd coat 2 to 4 hours is
The 3rd coat is the most important.
You can add a forth coat without sanding again if you wish to.
Hope this is helpful for you and good luck 😊👍🏼
