Very relieved this one turned out well. Man-E is my favorite MotU character!
OMG, this reminded of the retro figure I had during my childhood. A grail, besides Moss Man, back in the day IMO.
The vintage color scheme is pretty much why I prefer this version over the MOTUC version
Like omg
Cool thing about this figure is it remindes me when i started collection MOTU figures again in 1998 and my brother gave me his Man E Faces and his Castle Grayskull to start my collection again. So Every time i see him in any form that memory always comes back. Great Review Dan
Another Great review brother! I was going to sell this one because I have the first release, you got me thinking about keeping him!
I thought the blue armour on his chest would be the button to turn the faces. I like that it’s screen accurate
He looks awesome! Great vid Dan!
Compared to my original Man-E-Faces figure I do like the sculpt and articulation of this figure a lot. As someone who likes source-accurate collectibles this is a win. The face switching difficulty is a bit of a miss but aside from using the chest piece as a switch for the heads I cant think of any other way to do it and I feel that if the faces were more loose they may not stay in place. Otherwise it is a great figure. Thanks for the review Dan!
It looks spot on to the dilation tv counterpart. Although, I think what would have made this better is to have designed the head to have a ball joint that is not seen and that it could rotate left right up and down and also perhaps a seamless button on his chest that can do the rotating head gimmick. Or maybe put a button on the back of his head or the top of his head
I feel like a dial in the back of the head would have been easier to avoid paint rub on the faces.
Probably, but that would have also required more tooling, so that's probably why they did it the way they did.
"different options". Um, Dan, have you seen the prices for those original MOTUC Man-E-Faces on ebay? That's not an option, that's grand robbery. Super-7 should try and offer reissues for the more well-known, but hard to get figures like Trap-Jaw, Man-E-Faces, Whiplash and Beast-Man.
But then, after both Hawke and Club Grayskull Sorceress have been utter QC fails for me, I'm not too keen on tossing any more money Super-7s way. My Hawke has a miscast behind in addition to the long hip pegs, an utterly floppy breast joint and loose joints from the hips down. The Sorceress' capes meanwhile won't peg into her back properly (pegs are too small), her shoulders are loose, her neck joint is a bobblehead joke, her knees are shot and her ankle joints scrape paint off her boots, leaving them with ugly white splotches and blue powder on my desk. I've waited almost a year from the day I pre-ordered them and get figures which make cheap 90s Transformers knock-offs look like Masterpieces in comparison. That's 130 Euros worth of plastic garbage.
Not sure why they didn't do a disc or button on the back of the head, hidden by the red button-like part of the helmet, that would've housed the mechanism to turn the head. I realize these figures are for collectors & not really to be played with, but would it kill Super 7 to add simple play features like this?
GREAT VIDEO DAN.
Happy Thanksgiving bro
0:30 Mattel, Type-Moon and Nintendo logo kinda floating in space.
I really wish we had gotten, Filmation RAM-MAN!
Great video as always but i was hoping you'd be able to identify which episodes the weapons came from. I only know the blue rifle was one of Man at Arms weapons featured somewhere in episodes 1-6.
The blue, bladed weapon and the "pinwheel" are from She-Demon of Phantos. The lance belongs to Buzz-Off but I forgot which episode he had it. I know he was fighting alongside Mekanek against Webstor and Kobra Khan.
The lance belongs to Buzz-Off.
My Figures I got from Super 7 the Helmet comes off, It had a little paint stick at the front, A bit like Tri-klops Figure. Its easy to spin the face then refit the Helmet..this is a great figure...!!
Awsome Action Figure review
Man e is having fun with his pinwheel (yay)
Looks great... it's just as good as the Classics version.
Does this Man-E double as a pro wrestler with that oiled up torso?
and thigh-high boots
If you rotate the head opposite the way you want the drum to turn it’s a bit easier.
Perhaps a recessed opening at the top of the head that could be turned with one of the weapons would've made turning the head easier.
This will be my first of the Classic line. Next I have my eyes on Skeletor and Trap Jaw.
Looks neat! IMO they should have engineered a button on his back to click the faces - they'll get too much wear and tear in play.
But the figure's articulation is awesome!
I saw those weapons in the TV show nice add on no ring in the package that’s a bummer
You could always pretend your finger is that spinning effect Man-E had when he changed faces.
Love the robot face on this guy!
The Filmation series are extremely well made
they should make the Orko, Beast Man and Skeletor faces - Man E Faces! that's 6 faces bro
man -e-faces has a side gig cutting lawns and trimming hedges and that's where the weed eater comes in.
cool, I had him as a kid he was my first Master of the Universe. Couldn't read his new file so could someone tell me what it said?
I got mine and is gorgeous a very nice figure from super 7.
@Pixel Dan.
It's a flail type weapon.
I had my Man-E-Faces when I was like 6. I am 35 now.
Not gonna lie, as much as I like this toy, the MOTU Classics version is better with all the details. I like the Filmation look to many of them, but it's too simple for him here. Still they both look great.
Details don't necasarily make things better tho.
@@dannycruz5446 while true, it's just my opinion. I think both toys look great. I just prefer the more detailed one.
@RodimusPrimal I'm actually with you on this one, it looks very plain. But to each their own. Have to say though, overall I prefer the ivintage/classics styles.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some kind of coating that can be applied to the weapons to prevent the paint from coming off?
Futuredynamo Doll customisers use a spray called Mr Super Clear
Why doesn’t S7 just mold things in the color they need to be? Maybe they’d be cheaper too, without wasting so much paint.
I don't know why the couldn't have designed him so his helmet could just pull off to allow his faces to be turned. Changing it through his face window looks seriously fiddly.
Or a little mechanism on the back of his helmet, made to look like the pipe.
@@yunoyuluvit I did think of something on the back of helmet originally; I kinda went with the 'just flipping his helmet off' design as I assume it would take less tooling for needed parts. Either would have been welcome though, as it looks seriously awkward to try and do it this way.
Because it based on how he appears in the filmation cartoon.
@@Neoguest I think you're misunderstanding the point. The Filmation version does not have the knob on the head which is fine; my point (echoed by other) is that they coudl easily have allowed the helmet to be separated or some sort of dial incorporated (hidden) into the design to allow the faces to be turned. Nothing to do with changing the figure's design from how it's Filmation look.
I'm guessing it was a tooling issue. This line was always about accomplishing things using as little unique tooling as possible.
Where is the best places to buy these figures
You missed the pre-order for this wave already. Super7 was selling them via their website. Your only option now is ebay, Amazon, or some other Secondary market option. Big Bad Toy Store was/is also an authorized seller for Super7 also. Wave 3 is up currently for Super7 on their site for Club Greyskull/Filmation until Nov. 15 2018.
They could have easily made the helmet removeable like Dan said in order to rotate the face. Again Super7 had a simple solution in front of them and didn't suggest or support it to the Four Horsemen
Dont stare at a mirror not as long as i have please...im begging you please dont stare at the ...mirror💀
This guy reminds me of juggernaught
The paint scraping off the weapons, hands, and hinges is the most annoying thing with these figures. Other than the occasional jacked up hips, they are nailing the sculpts with the males. Just wish they could do better with the female figures. That Teela still doesn't look right alongside the other figures.
There should be a dial protruding from the back of the helmet in order to rotate the head.
Awww, Super 7! Poor QC with the paint rubbing off the weapons, the boggling choice to not make it easy to rotate his faces. They are just not winning me over.
U shud of hair dry the hand if it was tight before putting gun in
why does mattel keep making a different character? This is the only man-e-faces figure.

Let me guess, there will be comments saying: "Super7 sucks".
"Bring back Matty"(!)
@@pjgathergood6987 I AGREE
@serick73 I can see why fans aren't liking Super7's figures, when the QC issues are there they are really bad. Its just starting to get tiering to see those type of comments being flung in a immature fashion.
