Let's face it, this is the Mantenna most of us are familiar with.
There is no "weird coloration" on the head. It's the airbrushed shading over the red plastic rubbing off where the paint is so thin.
i remember having Mantenna years ago has a kid with hordack and the frightzone my cousin had leech and grizzlor to complete the evil horde collecton

Mantenna was cute and funny in the cartoon. More comic relief than an actual villain. The MOTU figure was pretty horrific, especially in the minicomics.
If the Rebels wanted to convert over Horde members to their side, Mantenna would be the low-hanging fruit, considering how Hordak treated him. He wasn't very bright.
Kevin Kosse made a Filmation style Mantenna mouth for Masters of The Universe Classics.
I don't know why but Mantenna was always my favourite out of the Horde.

I remember Horde Prime and Hordak referring to Mantenna as being a bug eyed buffoon and they weren't wrong.

The figure looks great. I had to end my MOTUC collecting a wave or two back (partly budget, partly not digging Super7) but I'm glad to see some long-awaited figures get into the hands of those who wanted them.
Super7 knocked this one outta the park! So pleased with the entire wave.

The neck totally looks like a bent straw🤣. Gives new meaning to "pencil neck." With the reviews I've seen on this figure..I really had no idea how short it is. Very interesting indeed, but the design is so very cartoon accurate.
I'm sure two mantenna came out in the 80s. The one we all have and the other one was very similar to that one. I don't know what country it was made in. But I remember very well , there were two, not the ugly one that came out first.I think that Mantenna came out as a special edition because I never saw it again.
I try to be cool yet I gotta say.....I love this and I do not care what anybody says or thinks about it. I strive to be open minded, listen to other opinions but this time I'm solid. Great review!
This figure is my favorite from Super7. He turned out really good too bad She-ra didn’t have the same fate. Maybe they should only do monster like figures and stay away from human and female characters.
I'm glad I have this figure but I LOVE the Classics version a lot more.
You know what's strange. If Super7 made the weapons in flat colors to make them appear more cartoon like. Why not the figures as well?

Hordak frequently sent Mantenna down the trap door in many episodes of the She-Ra Princess of Power series originally transmitted in the 1980s when he refused to listen to any of his dim-witted excuses. Mantenna was an imbecile and I'm not surprised he was frequentley sent down the trap door by Hordak.

I like the classics version better but this one is still really cool
What a very odd design choice to give them two different sets of leg designs. Plus, only boots on the front legs. I always found that weird, especially as an artist.
It was weird. Maybe the Filmation artists assumed he'd be built on a Modulok buck.
Now Dan I know you have these 6 to review but there was some other Masters merchandise released recently. I hope you are feeling good enough to review that stuff also?
If you have to let Spencer and Stina sub in on a few. Stina could handle He-Man and Skeletor and Spencer would probably get a kick(or punch) out of Fisto.

35 Dollars? Here in Germany I have to pay more than 70 Dollars for a single figure, which is very, very annoying.

Sorry but I must say it. I miss MotuC from Mattel! Since Super 7 do this the Quality is more and more going down. I canceled all my preorders since I got this shitty Filmation He-Man 2.0 from Super 7. The sculpt is crap when you look at Filmation He-Man 1.0 from Mattel, milky white plastic and more. The paintjob on the Figures is very sensitive for scratches when you put weapons on... The whole Quality from Super 7 is like a D-. Some figures are good but it sucks when must look at 5 or 6 figures until you get the best one (neo vintage line). Super 7 have to get much more better Quality or the Motu Line is dead.

Because some of us fans have been screaming at Mattel to make these for 30 years. It is the same idea that is behind every character from Star Wars that got 1 sec of screen time getting made as well.
We only got 3 figures in the 80's from the live action film and we finally get at least a few more of the cast. Both the original 80's MOTU and POP cartoons had unique designs for some characters that were not part of the original toys. As examples look for the toy and cartoon versions of Glimmer, Catra, and Multi-Bot. They look so different between the screen and plastic forms.
There are also all the characters that come from the print media as well. We may not have as big a cast list as Transformers, Marvel, DC, or Star Wars but we have characters we have been wanting since 1982. On top of matters some characters have a ton of media variations that we all want.
If you collect MOTU or any other line I hope you are just as lucky to get every character made as we are. I feel fans of every series should get everyone that was ever a part of their franchise.

Thumbs down to Super 7! Surprised they didn't sell the entire collection of these as one set for $500! Just to stick it to the passionate collectors.
