It’s so cute how Peni just has her arms down and is scrunched between the others because she’s the only one who relies on her mech instead of having spider powers of her own.
I think it's also because she's wearing a short skirt. She doesn't wanna become anime fan service lol

@@natanlopes4000 If I recall correctly, she got bit by the spider but it didn't give her spider powers. Instead the bite gave her a psychic link to the spider to they could both pilot that Spider Mech Suit together.
The only ability she got from the bite was spider-sense. But she knows martial arts, so that makes up for it.
The highlight of this scene... was Spider-Ham's words, the sadness he expressed, "Miles, the hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody"
The fact that such a hard truth came from the most comical character in the movie emphasized those words so perfectly

It also carries some dark undertones.
It strongly implies that Spider-Ham lost someone, too. Someone who lived in a cartoon world of anthropomorphic animals that can squash and stretch, pull things out of hammerspace, and defy the laws of physics - and they died. Wile E. Coyote falls off of 1,000 ft tall cliffs while the Roadrunner runs right through tunnels he painted on walls; Taz gets blown up from a bunch of dynamite he gets tricked into eating; Daffy gets shot point blank in the face five different ways in just as many minutes. And yet, they're all fine and dandy by the next scene.
But not for whoever Spider-Ham lost.
That felt like the moment a typical MCU movie would have chosen to make a joke and bring down the whole tone. But this solidifies it by having the goofy character feel the same way.

Me. I mean we all knew from the comics that all Spider-Men were shaped by personal tragedy but watching it on the big screen really brought it to another level.
I also came back for this scene, and to avoid spoilers for those that haven’t watch the movie, Being Spider-Man is never an easy job 😢
It's true you can't save everyone, but that's no excuse to let someone die. To be Spider-Man means you've got to be willing to throw caution to the wind to save everyone you can, even those seemingly doomed to die.
I think into the spider verse had a better story pacing and character development than across the spider verse

This part always gets me teary. It shows how inherently good these Spider-Variants are. They know Miles wasn’t ready so they had to get Peter to let him down easy. They leave, (falsely) telling Miles they can’t wait for him.
But they held onto that bit of hope that Miles was good enough. They waited until the very last second because they believed in him.
If only those friendships had survived the events and betrayals of ATSV, things could have been different…

None of the Spiders are his enemy.... they're just worrying about his entire world... in fact, they are trying to save him from an even worse regret....

@@leejet4730 It doesn’t change the fact they all were on board with forcing Miles to abandon his dad and chased after him on Miguel’s order when the plan fell apart. Their reasoning behind it makes sense, but it’s still a total betrayal of Mile’s trust in them. Also not to mention that they all had the technology to visit him whenever and chose not to, keeping Mile’s identity as the original anomaly hidden from him.
His dad trying his best not to break down while giving him the news about Aaron was heartbreaking.
1:00 This scene was apparently the hardest to get right, with all the different animation styles clashing with each other.

Wow! look at Peter and Gwen in the scene before Ham says, "The hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody" Their expressions are fully expecting him to say something comedic or in poor taste. Then check out Gwen's expression again after the line is delivered, she actually looks impressed that Ham said something so poetic. If Peter had been inframe with Gwen I have no doubt that he'd have the same impressed look. Just goes to show why that line may be one of the best in the whole film.

Having Spider-Ham saying the famous "The hardest thing is that you can't save everybody" was the best choice they could do because it just hits the hardest hearing that from a litteral loony tunes like character.

Something about watching all the spider peeps swinging from the literal sky always makes me giggle. One of the most emotionally charged scenes in the movie and then sky web.

To be fair, they don’t have some of his exact powers.
And finding the strength to believe in yourself is not something that can be talked through by similar experiences.
It needed to be from a source more close to him.
They simply don't have time to help him. They are on a timer and the stakes are greater than them dying. Miles's whole universe could perish and they don't want to bring a liability to the fight. Plus, seeing Miles immediately get good after his father's speech means that he just need to stop doubting himself and start believing that he is ready to figure it out.
You'll all learn that some things you'll just have to go through yourself
They all learned on their own, thats how it was meant to be. Being Spider-Man isnt something to be simply taught how to do.
This Spider-Man is exactly what Tobi is to me when he appeared in No Way Home, he understood just so much more to me.
Everytime I hear Spider Ham talk I just picture Big Jack Horner now 😂

They were originally supposed to but the test audience felt it was in poor taste considering this scene, thus Porker says the most poignant line of the film instead.

Some people aren't close to their families to the point that friends are what they consider as families, and unlike families, friends are relationships you actively build up while in most cases family members would just count as acquaintances if it weren't for them being related to you, with how little you actually interact with them

I´m going to be honest, after ATSV, Miles should NOT forgive Peter B, he literally forced Gwen to leave him (Thank god her instinct was there for guiding her) just for do this 2:10? Just after Miles lost his uncle aaron? It wasn't even him who made Miles become Spider-Man, it was his DAD, the same person Peter wanted to convince Miles to let him DIE without a choice.
