    Garfield's Spidey was the one that lost the most, but he never said anything to top the other Spideys' griefs. He had lost Uncle Ben, Lost Gwen, his Dad and Mom, Dr. Connors whom he accidentally helped make him a monster, his Best Friend Harry as well. This showed that Andrew's Spidey was a repressed person as seen in his films. Most of the time he held the pain inside and was quirky, moody and awkward, literally like anyone would be since he actually knew his parents and he lost them. He kept on going but always carried the burden of his own actions... Took Responsibility for his flaws too. I Love his version of Spidey the most.

      I think they did a great job with all three of them here. Garfield's Spider Man/Peter Parker is my least favourite one from the films, but they made subtle shifts and focused on different aspects of him here to make him fit in really well with the other two, and he might actually be my favourite in this movie. He gets most of the funniest lines, but he also seems to be the most humble of them, even though I think his characterization in his own movies is more arrogant than any others.

    • @EternalRoman
      @EternalRoman 3 місяці тому

      @@geneparmesan8748 See that is the thing, if you read Spidey comics, especially starting from the late 80s and the 90s and forward, you well clearly see that Garfield's Spidey IS the comic accurate Spidey, and that is a fact, especially with the Todd McFarlane run of Spidey and after. The big eyes of his costume are even part of McFarlane's design, because it was him that implemented them on the comics. Also, if you even go back to the old comics, Peter was indeed arrogant by comic number 15. All you need to do is check out the comics. Peter Parker was only meek in the first few issues of Spidey, heck he even had his cherry popped by Betty Brant while they had a romance and she was still married.

    • @EternalRoman
      @EternalRoman 3 місяці тому +30

      @@geneparmesan8748 Well that is the thing, Garfield's Spidey and Peter ARE the most comic book accurate. If you check out the comics, you see that in issue 15 of the beginning issues. The dude even had an Extramarital affair with Betty Brant, yes she was married and she popped his cherry.
      Then there's the late 80s and the 90s during Todd McFarlane's run of Spidey and after, and then forward. I don't know where people get this wrong idea that Peter Parker is all meek and nerdy.
      I literally dislike the Tobby Maguire films because of that and I was my out loud protest when I first saw the film when it came out on theaters. This because they pushed this "Clark Kent" attitude when it was clearly not needed. Peter uses a Mask, he doesn't have to pretend to be different to what he is, and he had shed his Nerd persona after he obtained his powers. If anything when he dons the mask, he is supposed to be wild and arrogant because this is what he uses to piss off the villains.

      I find it's better to be in smaller crowds.
      When I saw this movie, it was me and one other person, in the entire cinema. We reacted to the same stuff that the big crowds did and had that shared communal thing going on but we immediately quietened back down each time and watched the rest of the movie.
      I've seen plenty of loud cinema reaction videos and noticed they've sometimes missed cool dialogue or a somewhat important scene because they're all caught up in that big cinema reaction frenzy and are still talking amongst themselves about something that happened a couple of minutes previously.

    I don't believe we'll ever experience a movie like this again in our lifetime. I wouldn't rate this my favorite Marvel movie, I wouldn't even call it my favorite Spiderman movie, but it's such a unique movie. The culmination of nearly 2 decades worth of Spiderman movies. Each of the Spidermen beloved in their own ways. Having not only the heroes but also the villains reprise their roles. It's just such an amazing love-letter to the Spiderman fans out there. It's pure fan service for better or for worse. The only thing that comes close to this for me is that one episode of Power Rangers where they brought back all the red rangers from every series in one epic battle. Who would come close to being able to pull something off like this? Maybe Batman? But it wouldn't be on-brand to have goofy skits with every Batman hanging out. Spiderman really was the perfect storm for this, I'm so glad they were ambitious enough to go through with it.

This is one of the top Marvel movies in my book it's up there with infinity war and Endgame because I wanted to see Garfield and McGuire in the spidie suit again, getting all 3 at once, are you kidding me I couldn't have asked for more! This was a dream come true and I am so happy I got to see them both in the suit one more time. I need to get this on DVD to preserve it.

    not a huge Marvel fanatic, but these two scenes are probably some of my favourites in any movie, ever.
    The movie as a whole really gives the sense that this is *not* how things were supposed to go. MCU Peter didn't get the happy ending he deserved, and he has no choice but to just live with that. It's jarring, heartbreaking, but also really beautiful. Life can turn out wrong for you but life still goes on, that's just the way of the world.

    To think Aunt May died saying those words broke my damn heart. That's when we found out that this is Spider-Man's origin story.
