“You don’t belong here, you *never* did” Gotta feel for miles in that moment, he’s spent this whole movie searching for acceptance from these people who he aspires to be like, only to be rejected by them in the most harsh way possible.
and the speech Rio gave him before he go after Gwen gave him strength. Is interesting how every thing she said to him to be careful about is what happened to him across the spider verse
I’m gonna be honest even if Miguel was right his ridiculing and beat down of Miles (who is a kid) is incredibly harsh to where I question his mental state. He says all this stuff about “if the spider never bit you none of this would have happened” as if Miles chose to be bitten by the spider and chose to let his world’s Peter die. I feel like Miguel just sees a contradiction to the canon event logic he lives by and hates it as it implies that his family’s death wasn’t a set in stone thing because of his mistake. What I mean by Miles being a contradiction is that his Peter wasn’t supposed to die and yet his world hasn’t been completely dissolved. If a minor change to the “uncle ben” or “captain stacy” parts of the story are enough to wreck a whole world then shouldn’t the person who was supposed to live through those events dying mean its all over?

3:46 Miles in fear and panicking actually looks down to where Peter is and calls out for his help as Miguel berates him. A small detail I missed a couple of times rewatching this amazing movie.
"we are supposed to be the good guys" damn that line destroyed every single spider person in the room, specially Miguel, him repeating "we are!!" really drives home that even he isn't sure he's doing the right thing anymore.
After that we all knew he's even willing to murder someone to keep the canon. Imagine if he murders Jeff or Rio, that would be insane as hell, but it would be worst if Gwen sacrifices herself to save Miles's family, and Miles going full berserk against Miguel, that is a fight I would like to see.
She's not wrong; I mean, let's be honest here. Did Miguel honestly expect Miles to follow the same canon event and be authentic? Does he know what would happen if you didn't follow the canon event? But seeing how I responded to Gwen's question, I guess not. But I can honestly say. As a Spiderman fan, I'm very disappointed in the rest of them; Gwen had every right to say, "We are supposed to be the good guys." Cause it ever occur to them that destiny can be changed
4:31 Miguel’s line “You’re just a kid that has no idea what he’s doing” is interesting - that’s fair to describe most versions of Spider-Man when they first got their powers: most were kids that had no idea what they were doing until their “canon events” (ex. Uncle Ben) happened
@@ValavaernBrother did you not watch the movie? Every spider-man has multiple canon events, every variant loses ONE police captain. For Peter it was Captain Stacy, Miles is destined to lose his dad as he's being promoted to captain. They literally made this clear in the movie...
@Chamilion I don't deny that, but nevertheless it's stilll a pretty big fucking risk to take. No side is wrong in this situation, if you think Miguel is wrong or Miles is right then you misunderstood the point of the movie
2:00- Keep in mind, Miguel doesn’t stick to things. He has claws. And on a high speed space train, where everyone else can barely move, the man is practically _flying._ All on his own strength.
if you actually 5:18 there’s another example of miguel being even less of a spider-man than miles. He literally can’t stick onto something to save him self so he resorts to his webs it’s actually so ironic it’s beautiful. Actually fantastic writing.
Well yeah, thats basically Miguel, he is the true anomally, he didnt get bit by a spider, he altered his own dna to get rid of a drug in his system, thats why he is not like all the spidermen out there
The whole "You're a mistake!" speech Miguel makes can be summarized with "And how's that MY fault!" Miles didn't create this spider, Miles didn't summon the spider, Miles didn't do anything. Someone ELSE brought the spider there, someone ELSE deprived a universe of their Spider-Man. Miles is just trying to play with the cards he's been dealt.
the funny part is it was SPOT who brought the 42 spider to 1610 miles’ dimension before it could bite its own miles. miguel has been writing off spot as some tedious chore he’ll have to go deal with later despite him being the true genesis of all of this
Yeah, Miles did not became Spiderman or get bitten, its whoever sent the spider there in the first place, but does not change anything or change the fact that Miles is an anomaly, also Miles and Gwen met before Miles got bitten, so Gwen indirectly made Miles get bitten, if those two did not meet, then Miles would not go to his uncle for advice which leads him to the subway near where the machine is where he get bitten by the spider and all that which resulted in everything in that movie to happen and so on, so yeah

It’s hammered home by the fact the scene just before, where he is told about canon events, he was constantly being called kid, showing just how much they were underestimating him
Miles Morales is a truly inspiring hero whose dedication to fighting for justice, his unwavering determination, quick thinking in tough situations, resourcefulness in finding solutions, and willingness to learn from his mistakes make him a powerful force for good in the Spider-Verse and a role model for others to follow.
I think people are misunderstanding Miles. He's not saying saving the Spiderverse isn't important, he's just not gonna sacrifice an innocent person, especially if that person is his father, to do so. Like Peter in Edge of Time said "What's important is not standing by and letting innocent people suffer or die, because you do nothing" For clarification for those still confused, that quote means that Spider-Man shouldn't just *let* someone die. If Miles tries to save his dad and fails, the canon event plays out and everything is fine. But Miguel is saying he should just let his dad die and not do anything about it, which is not what being Spider-Man is about
Yeah just like how everybody seems to misunderstand that miguel doesnt thunk miles is selfish because he wants to save his father, he think he’s selfish because saving his father may cause the end of a universe

The way he genuinely sounded terrified as he was tied up to the punching bag in the end and tried reasoning with his uncle genuinely made me terrified for him. who said it's nanotech? and if it's nanotech then how tf is Miles absorbing from his suit? and he can still use his legs to kick Miles, just admit this movie was full plot armor, Miles should have been dead by now

Idk if i am the only one that saw it but at 3:07 when he glitched for a mil second it showed him in that suit he bought from stan lee in the first movie very cool👍
2 months late, but i love the meaning behind that, that suit is used in into the spiderverse to represent that miles doesn't fit, and he glitches and shows that suit while miguel is telling him that he is an anomaly
The scene really hit me when Miguel shouted to Miles: "You're a MISTAKE", it's the most horrible thing anyone has ever seen can say, knocking down his defense of Miles about who is himself and it hurts me more when Miles says: "No, you're lying, I'm Spiderman".. it really was a great physical and emotional beating that Miguel gave him, and he was almost without any help. and Peter and Gwen were barely able to intervene, because they already knew and believed they were trying to convince him not to interfere with his "canonical event" for his own good. 5:31 that "Bye, Gwen" hurt me, because Miles said it believing this is the last time they see each other, since he thought that after returning to his world, he would no longer have anything to do with the Multiverse. 9:57I thought it was very cruel how Miguel sent Gwen back home with the same machine they used to send villains back to their worlds, plus she was resisting, I guess because she wouldn't want them to continue chasing Miles and that "We were supossed to be the good guys" shocked me
The only ways that Miles can maybe avoid endangering "all the people on his planet", are: 1. The other Spidermen bring in technology to try to contain the damage, like they did for the Indian Spiderman... And they succeed. 2. Because Miles isn't meant to be Spiderman, he gets lucky in that his life doesn't have to include all the usual Spiderman events. Either way, it'd be a cop out. The only good ending here is that Miles experiences his loss, and grows, like all the other Spidermen.
Gwen's line was hypocritical. All they are doing is sending her home. She was resisting cuz she didn't want to go back to her dimension. Not stop them. She was just like "I'm not coming".
@@Leto2ndAtreides With other spidermen's Canon Events changing and universes having their own absolute points. I don't think there's one good ending here or if there is a good ending. The multiverse is more complicated than it seems and unstable already. There's a good chance that what might work for Peter may not work for Miles. That even if his father follows the canon event it might meant nothing since nothing happened to Gwen's father when he resigned as a captain. It's scary how the universe managed to adapt to the rewriting when it can just disrupt, at this point everyone is walking on eggshells, you will never know when and which is the next incursion.

The writers went completely retarded when they created that idea as the base for the conflict between Miles (not one of the more likable Spidermen) and all the other Spidermen - many of which are more interesting for the most part.

7:33 quick reminder the spider-sense only goes off when spider man is in harm's way/real danger. The spider-sense didn't activate during the train chase, wich means Miguel wasn't planning to actually harm him. But since it did in this scene... well, let's say Miles was lucky spider-byte didn't lower the shield...
Miguel definitely wanted to still hurt him.!That whole train sequence was not Miguel trying to reach for him or reach an understanding it was to hurt him for questioning his identity. He tried to destroy his very identity, then belittle him, when he called for help he smashed him into the ground.
3:46 we really not gonna talk about him calling and reaching for peter like he's asking for help. Even with all thats going on he still looks up to him and relies on him and it hurts that peter couldn't help him here
I'm going to say something really controversial I blame Peter for not even bothering to help miles and yeah I know he had May with him but he could have had just asked Gwen to hold her so he can fight Miguel because let's be honest he can stand a chance against Miguel it just pisses me off that he didn't even try to defend miles
Theres a bigger picture here. Every single spiderman has accepted cannon events, but deep down they want to fight it. Gwen and peter b are conflicted, they were told thats the way it has to be but they see miles fighting with everything he has to go against it. They want to help but they are conditioned not to. They dont help because of their conditioning but they dont stop miles because they believe in him, in this story hes the purest spiderman.
Since nobody's with Miguel here, I'll be the one on his side because he's rational enough and Miles is so stubborn in this film. (I really like him from the first film though). Remember the earlier scenes where Miles sneaked through the portal, that was the first mistake, and the second was he kept messing things up in the Pavitr earth. I hate when he didn't listen to Gwen or anyone, just kept being stubborn, cocky, and kept messing around acting like he's the main hero who can use the power of friendship or will power to nullify reality and reason. People are siding with him while forgetting how messed up he made. I swear if Miguel were white or Asian he'd get canceled for this. I may get hated for this, but whatever, I'll defend him from the world even if I'm the only one.
8:47 “ Because you Miguel, aggressively hurt Miles, you told him his dad had to die, you threw a trash can at him, and you trapped him in a cage, that’s why.”
Miguel doesn't understand that because he was an adult when he got his powers and unlike the rest of them, he INTENTIONALLY aquired his powers. It wasn't an accident.
Miguel really has no right to tell Miles that he was a mistake just because he didn't realize that Miles-1610 was never supposed to become Spider-Man. The spider from w-42 ended up in w-1610 because Kingpin's first collider test caused it to transport to that world, Spot was created from the collider going unstable and Miles was just trying to stop it, and Miles didn't mean to get caught up in Peter-1610's fight because he ended up finding the collider room by accident. Even if Miles hadn't interfered with Peter-1610, Miles couldn't have saved him because he had no way to fight against any of those villains. Peter-1610 still could've died even without Miles' interference or the spider biting him. No one had any control or ability to stop the canon events from diverging because the SoSP hadn't formed yet, and Miguel can only blame someone else and treat them like the worst event in the entire multiverse's history because he's a hypocrite.
@@spenserfarman3045 When you say Peter 42 do you mean Peter from 1610? We don't meet a Peter Parker from Earth-42; plus I'm pretty sure it was hinted at the Earth-42 Mile's Morales was supposed to be spider-man and Miles 1610 was supposed to be the prowler.
Miguel's premise of "Canon Events happen and there's nothing we can do about it" is the literal antithesis of "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility", which is all about doing the EVERYTHING you can, even when there is no hope.
But great responsibility also means great care. Messing with powers or forces beyond your knowledge and control is how you get Strange Supreme. If anything, in my opinion, he's taking Great Power and Great Responsibility to the utmost extreme, which is still detrimental, but not the antithesis. They're not dealing with a city here, their choices will affect every world in all of the multiverse. Not saying he's doing it right, but that task will and has taken a toll on him.
@@excaliburknight1016 that extreme could also be born from his one mistake and the revelation of the consequences. Remember, a timeline/dimension had collapsed because Migel had thought to replace a version of him who died. There’s also another thing to point out: gwen making up with her dad. If migel saw what happened there, pretty sure he’d call that a “breaking of a canon event”, as, for a short while, Gwen’s dad was police captain… but he quit the job. Migel, even if to protect the multiverse, is acting too strict and hard over the supposed choices made. Has to be a reason that it’s called the MULTIVERSE! Not every event goes canon because there’s always an alternate choice made somewhere else. Pretty sure dimensional collapses are caused by the world colliders that Spot is siphoning off of, anyway.
@@lanluhylrean1122In a way, Miguel causes a canon event to not happen by sending Gwen home. Miguel doesn’t know that Gwen will make up with her dad, he makes the decision to quit while she’s talking to him. That wouldn’t have happened if Miguel hadn’t of sent her back home.

Nah if he wanted to he could do it like at least 6-7 times, even when he shreds time-space web with fierce he detaches his claws after start tearing 8:02 8:02
Miguel really has lost his way. He’s not even technically wrong with his viewpoint. Miguel suffered his own losses and feels immense guilt over what he did and he is trying in his own way to right the wrongs he committed. Yeah you can’t save everyone, not even Spider-Man can save everyone. But you know what makes Spider-Man great? He tries anyways. If he fails he doesn’t give up trying to save everyone and more often than not Spider-Man always finds a way and pulls a miracle.
I think there’s truth in this, BUT I also think that Miguel is the true villain. There’s something he’s hiding. The claws, the fangs, the cape, the injections and many other things make me think he’s not a pure spider person. At first he gave off that “brooding damaged male” trope, but the way he flies off the handle makes me think there’s more he’s hiding. Sure, the need to allow canon events to happen might be necessary, but Miguel’s abuse and hated of Miles is pretty unwarranted. Especially since its pretty obvious that it’s not Miles’ fault he was bit by earth 42’s spider. He’s not the original anomaly. Also I think if he was a real anomaly, his world would’ve disintegrated the second he was bit. There already was a Spider-Man in his universe. Gwen being on earth 1610 is also an anomaly. I think there’s something directly linking Miles and Miguel and Miguel hasn’t told anyone. His story is a half truth. Either way, I can’t wait for the next movie. I’m prepared to have my mind blown
I feel like he sees Miles as a living contradiction to Miguel’s canon event theory and can’t cope with that. What I mean is that Miguel says the Peter Parker in Miles world was not supposed to die and yet that world did not unravel. If changes to the canon like an uncle Ben figure surviving or a Captain Stacy figure is enough to unravel a whole world then shouldn’t the person who was supposed to live through those events dying just mean its over? Miguel when asked if they know what will happen if the canon is broken just shuts it down with “do you want to know!?” Which shows even he doesn’t have an answer. I feel like he’s still dealing with the guilt of losing his family and finds solace in the idea that it was his mistake and that that is the definitive way they would have gone out due to his meddling but now he is seeing Miles defy that logic which is why Miguel is so volatile towards him. Just my interpretation on him as a character.
And Miguel tried to steal the life of another Miguel just to become the father of a daughter he could've have like he's the Scarlet Witch. The daughter in that was presumably supposed to become the Spider-Person of that universe but Miguel ruined it out of a petty desire.
Thank everyone’s talking about how Miguel is right and Miles isn’t seeing it. But HOW DID MIGUEL GET TO ANOTHER UNIVERSE AND DESTROY IT. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS ORIGINAL UNIVERSE. HE IS THE ANOMALY!
4:03 I seriously love how distant the score becomes. Almost as if Miles realizes he doesn’t just gotta peace out. He’s also gotta distance himself from his “friends”.
Exactly, I can understand that he desperately wants to prevent other Spider-Men from making the same mistake. But at the same time he's making them go against everything they stand for to do it.
@@haaather7131 Nah Miguel is one of the best spider-man variants in the comics and deserves the title, he’s just extremely scared of the consequences after witnessing them as a result of his own mistakes in this movie
Miguel looked like he was a half step from a psychotic break when he told Miles, "All this time, I've been the one holding it together." Homie, you do not look like you're holding it together.
"Good things happen too, like you" hits so damn hard once you learn about the original anomaly. Everyone already knows this, but won't get tired of saying it, this movie is brilliant.
I don't know if it's the hardest but it is the most detailed... Not one single molecule is accidental and it's all flawless... I think it might not be so fast. I can't tell, but that could be part of the point. There could be subliminal messages in Is there and that would make it even crazier
Okay so I noticed that too and came to the timed comments 😅 During this scene when he glitches slow the video speed down to as low as possible, does it seem like it also shows a real version of miles?? Or am I reaching there ?
it’s literally miguel just projecting. The irony of the whole thing is the implication of him not being spider-man thru unethical methods (miguel’s viewpoint) when the irony is Miguel, Jessica Drew, Miles, Gwen are Vastly different spider-people. Miguel essentially grief ridden and that’s because he believes the incidents regarding multiversal leaks or cannons being disrupted because of variants originated from Miles’s dimension. Which has nothing to with miles again just irony. He’s being a hypocrite but hes aware cuz he thinks what he went thru is justifying.
It simply doesn't. Miguel is just trying his hardest to be the smart one. He's yelling at Miles about being a mistake, so the canon doesn't apply for him since he never was supposed to become Spider man. He said it himself, if Miles never became spider man, his Peter would alive. And if Miles becoming Spider man isn't canon, nor is Peter dying, it's quite clear that he has no canon, no events that are set in stone. Miguel is mad at his own mistakes that he can't even think straight.
Just realized that at 3:22 when Miguel said there's a world out there without Spiderman, it has the same whistle that played when Uncle Aaron was revealed later in the movie. Great detail

@JCZ-11 actually, yes. They have tiny claws, what's how they are able to cut off an end of their webs. Obviously, they are for making webs and traversing them, and it ends at that.
A lesson we can learn from Miguel here: When you try to take control of everything else, you lose control of yourself. Don't try to take take control of things out of your league. Take control of things that you are affected by, and of yourself.
@@emmanuelandrew6513 He wasn't like this before him beginning the spider-society. He was pretty light-hearted. But because he tried to control everything else he lost control of himself.
@marlonquintana3466 It's not just about emotion. It's also the fact that Miguel doesn't actually know what the Canon is. He just assumes it's when somebody dies. Miguel spent years taking his frustration out on other Spider men due to the family he lost, a family that wasn't his to love. And then he puts it all on Miles. He says Miles isn't ALLOWED to do anything and even says he shouldn't be allowed to exist. And all of this while knowing that everything is Spot's fault. Hundreds of lives are on his head and he doesn't care. Anything so he doesn't have to be wrong.

Notice how Miguel's whole demeanor changed from mildly angry but focused on stopping Miles to Completely pissed and focused on putting Miles in his place once Miles said that "Are you sure that you're even Spider-man?"
Love the fact that Miles was being genuine when he said “I have a plan, I just haven’t you told you it yet” because he did have a plan. Also the “No! You’re lying, I’m Spider-Man!” just reminds me of how young he is and how fucked up this whole situation is, idk man, it’s something about his tone.
Miguel has no business being this hard on miles, he didn’t choose for any of this to happen, he didn’t sign up to be spiderman, it was spot who robbed dimension 42 of their radioactive spiderman spider. All of this was both spot and kingpin’s fault.
Miguel snapping is horrifying lmao. I always loved how Miguel was the one guy that didnt have a lot of Spidey traits, but he was still Spider-Man because of his sense of responsibility.
I'm not defending the writing for this scene, but I think the reason Miles is able to get away from the other spider-people is because he's desperate, while the others are just casually following orders. The only one that wants to really stop him is 2099, and even he's under the impression Miles isn't very adept in Spider-maning because hes a relatively new. spider-dude.
Spider-Sense also basically kicks into overdrive when being outnumbered like this (at least it does for Peter from what I remember but I assume the same would be true for Miles) and all those Spider-People are messing each other up because they aren't working together and have no game plan. It's basically like what the three Peters in No Way Home were doing at first, except in here there's like hundreds of them, some of which are vastly different from the average Spider-Man, and none of them ever stop to 'regroup' or form a plan real quick.
Another fact is that despite being a large army, they aren't meant to fight in that large of a number. We see with the case of Miguel catching an anomaly, he only sends 2-3 Spider-People to detain one. Because they piled up on Miles they are in a literal crowd where only a few can attack at a time, while Miles is far more versatile with an actual plan.
1.Spider sense goes on a hyperdrive while outnumbered 2.Its much easier to escape than to catch someone 3.Spider people aren't great at team work. 4.Many of them weren't trying that hard.
It's also just the fact that spidermen are going to inherently suck at catching spidermen. They are much better at escaping than they are at catching, it's like a bunch of dudes covered in grease trying to catch another dude covered in grease.
8:24 I wanna talk about this moment. She had the chance. She didn't abort the machine. And gave him a look. How did he knew she's won't be aborting because he wouldn't have pulled down the mask?

this was a small thing they were trying to push in the marketing of this movie like itsv was "anyone can wear the mask" atsv is "it matters how you wear the mask" I wonder what they'll try to push with btsv
Even though Miguel’s powers work differently to the other spider-men/women, his powers are still spider oriented nonetheless. He has retractable claws because (in real life) spiders that are too heavy to use suction, often have retractable claws. He has (retractable) fangs, because (in real life) spiders have fangs, and he can inject a paralyzing venom with them (at least he could in one of the comics I owned as a little kid). He doesn’t have a spider sense, because (in real life) neither do spiders… instead he’s got a sort of accelerated reflexes that process information at the same level someone with a spider sense would, which is close enough… but it doesn’t warn him about anything in advanced, especially if he can’t see it with his eyes (which while not entirely accurate to real life, is still closer to real life than the spider sense). He wasn’t bitten by a radioactive spider, but instead had spider DNA infused into his body directly. Who knows… maybe he’s been adding more to make himself bigger and stronger.
I think Spider-Sense originated from spiders being able to sense vibrations in the air which can basically give them 360 awareness of their surroundings.
@@TheRedMan77 We knew where it originated as far as actual spiders, but it works well beyond those confines in the comics, even warning Spider-Man before an explosion goes off, or if someone has a gun in their pocket, neither of which have anything to do with vibrations in the air.
@@mistahanansi2264 Well of course Spider-Sense doesn't operate like an actual spider, it's connected to the Web of Fate and is basically a Cosmic Sense. I was just explaining the origin of the concept of Spider-Sense.
You don't need to be bit by the spider to be Spider-Man, it's the fact that the Miles that WAS bit was NEVER supposed to be, it was ripped from another earth right before the Miles that was supposed to be bit would've been bit.
And also I don't understand how he's different from kingpin, both wanted families from different dimentions at least kingpin didn't ruin a whole dimention but Miguel who actually did that is now "boss" of every spider and in charge of everything? Why is their logic upside down?
this movie shifts from calm to intense in a split second, along with the fast paced action that you can barely follow, makes it a very special watch. best movie of 2023 hands down.
Across also started out light, like the majority of Into, and gradually got dark halfway into the movie. I think the majority of Beyond is gonna be dark.
Miguel is wrong for two main reasons. 1) Miguel is not well. The film even hints that Miguel is suffering when Miles makes a point about men of his dad’s generation ignoring their mental health too much. Hence projecting on Miles and essentially building a cult he controls with fear. He hasn’t processed his grief and thinks that if he can fix the canon of the universe it is the spiritual equivalent of undoing his mistake and bringing his daughter back. 2) Miles isn’t the original anomaly. The 42 spider was. The spider’s presence in 1610 is a result of The Spot’s decision. The Spot chose to work for Alchemax and to stay in a super collider while it was exploding hence he is responsible for his accident. The Spot has always had agency and continues to make the choice of opening various dark matter holes in the multiverse. The multiverse handles canon disruptions just fine but dark matter actually IS disrupting the stability of the multiverse… Spot is being almost completely ignored by Miguel.
The way the "canon event disruption" plays out in Mumbattan tells me that he might also be behind the destruction of Miguel's universe. We don't know exactly how powerful the Spot is, but he is absolutely a multiversal threat. And yes, the travelling through dimensions also allows you to travel through time, as in "Into the Spider-Verse," Gwen got sent to last week, before the event happened that actually pulled her into Miles' universe.
And 3) MILES' UNIVERSE AND EARTH-42 (FOR ITS ENORMOUSLY LONG NUMBER OF PRPBLEMS) ARE STILL STANDING. And in the more theoretocal side of things, and seeing how tons of Soideys from different medua across comics, video games, and cartoons are shown or mentioned in the film, one could assume *all* Spider-Man media us canon to the Spider-Verse. Which includes the 90s Spider-Man cartoon (which featured a parallel universe where Spidey still has his uncle and married Gwen) and the preschool show Spidey and His Amazing Friends (whose preschool-friendly nature means many of the Canon Events such as the death of a captain simply won't happen because it would clash too much with its nature, while others such as Mary Jane and Peter's marriage are also unlikely to happen because A) MJ hasn't debuted yet and B) That Peter is a kid. Like, an actual, 10-year-old kid).
Between both Miguel and Miles, Miles has a point about saving his dad and Miguel is clearly wrong about Miles, I mostly think that he forgot what made Spider-Man in the first place, an accident that both made who he was and gave him his powers plus that hole in Pavitr’s universe wasn’t because of Miles , if you watch Dr. Strange 2, it’s a incursion
No it was from the spot an incursion is where somebody stays in a universe for too long and it makes other universes collide together. If that's what ur saying then my bad for not understanding
An incursion is when someone stays in another universe and causes both dimensions to collide. In the spider verse films, only the person from the alternate universe would die and not both dimensions. Pavitr's dimension was being destroyed because Miles disrupted a canon event that needed to happen. Its basically a fixed point in time, which both Dc and Marvel cofirm its things that need to happen and will happen and if they dont happen, time will be destroyed. Also, Miguel has a point, Miles is so focused on saving his father, while Miguel is focused on saving all creation. In the beginning of the film, he fixed everything that was left unchecked from the first film. Miles will need to learn hoe to sacrifice for the greater good, which spider man in general has to go through sooner or later. Tom hollan spider man lost everything for the sake of the multiverse. Insomniac spider man lost aunt may for the sake of the world.
@@Abyss_Princess Miguel literally cofirms that it wasnt the spot, but the effect of the canon being broken. Miles stopped a fix point in time, thus caused the destruction of pavitr's dimension
“When you can do the things that I can do, but you don’t, and THEN the bad things happen… they happen because of you.” That quote from Tom’s Peter fits perfectly with Miles and him choosing to save his dad.
"What's important is not standing by and allowing someone to suffer or die because you do nothing. If you don't get that, you don't get the first thing about being spider man."
@@theamazingspooderman2697 There can be more than one Spider-Man that defines who Spider-Man is in their own way. That was the message that Into the Spider-Verse made. Anyone can wear the mask.
Not only did it work better for pacing but it helped submit that Miles was more mature. Despite their big differences and the fact he's willing to let his dad die and stop him for doing it, Miles says sorry but I'm going to do differently as a way of saying he doesn't hate him for it.
Okay so I noticed that too and came to the timed comments 😅 During this scene when he glitches slow the video speed down to as low as possible, does it seem like it also shows a real version of miles?? Or am I reaching there ?
I think Miguel wants Spot to carry out his canon event by killing Miles' dad, then catch him. That way they don't disrupt the canon and can still stop Spot from doing more damage.
One thing I've thought of was they never said who or what villain would be the one to start a cannon event, just that the cannon event itself was a police captain close to Spiderman would die. So if by some reason Spot didn't exist another villain could trigger the cannon, it just so happened that Spot was a much bigger threat to other universes as well
The bigger thing is if the canon events are so important than our Miles' universe and the radioactive spiders original universe should have already collapsed. The Easter egg of Insomniac's PS4 spiderman means that's a canon universe and Miles is also a Spiderman in that one, so Miles being a spiderman in other universes is a possibility. The fact that a spider was sent thru to another universe and of all the people it could have bitten is another Miles just goes to show that either the canon events can be transferred over to another universe OR that this was actually a multiversal canon event that was supposed to happen. Either way Miguel is the one preventing canon events once again, not Miles. That or universe collapses are not caused by canon events not happening and Miguel's collapse was something else entirely and likely his own fault for some other reason than he believes
The fact that Miguel is literally letting an Anomaly do canon events is going to backfire on him. Miguel is probably exactly how others treated Spot, a villain of the week. The fact he thinks he can control him will prove to be a fatal mistake, nevertheless catch him. They couldn't even catch Miles, meanwhile, Spot decimated Miles, Gwen, Hobie, and Pavitar with little effort BEFORE his transformation.
@@reg1019 The "Vampire" type Spider-Man thing is a result of him getting his powers. Miguel wasn't bitten by a Spider, his DNA was genetically altered and it made him half man and half spider.

The frame at 3:30 where Miguel's suit changes colors is so so beautiful. I love how the art styles switch from comic book to technical drawings. The animation for this one scene must've taken hella time
To everyone saying Miles outsmarting everyone is plot armour, I wanna remind Tobey's line in Spiderman-2, "strong focus on what I want". Conviction is the prime source of a spiderman's power. And here Miles' conviction was way more than anyone else, he was saving his father. You see that the only one who came close to beating him was Miguel, whose convction was also the strongest out of everyone else
He's also not a Peter like most of them seem to be. So he thinks differently to them which I think helps him get away. He still has the Spider-Man snark and such, but he still acts and reacts slightly differently to them due to being a Miles and not a Peter.
I still think Spot is going to be the reason all the canon events happen, like he insures they either lose their loved one, or the whole world. Like if he can freely jump through dimensions, he can probably do so with time too.
I think he went through an awakening and can manipulate matter in the next movie. Since we did saw him grab every fucking matter around him and throw it at miles's dad in miles' future sight thing
i think they may be setting him up as at least the introduction to the king in black. He's nowhere near as bad as his yellow predecesor, but the face references his comic version and he does reference many of the original lines (particularly 'i wear no mask')
“You don’t belong here, you *never* did”
Gotta feel for miles in that moment, he’s spent this whole movie searching for acceptance from these people who he aspires to be like, only to be rejected by them in the most harsh way possible.
and the speech Rio gave him before he go after Gwen gave him strength. Is interesting how every thing she said to him to be careful about is what happened to him across the spider verse
Miguel's *definitely* projecting on Miles there...

5:31 that "Bye, Gwen" hurt me, because Miles said it believing this is the last time they see each other, since he thought that after returning to his world, he would no longer have anything to do with the Multiverse.
9:57I thought it was very cruel how Miguel sent Gwen back home with the same machine they used to send villains back to their worlds, plus she was resisting, I guess because she wouldn't want them to continue chasing Miles and that "We were supossed to be the good guys" shocked me
The only ways that Miles can maybe avoid endangering "all the people on his planet", are:

@@eris5497 The idea that canon events in the lives of "Spiderman" were somehow so important that entire universes could collapse because of them was an utterly crazy premise anyway.
If that's true for Spiderman, then you'd assume that it's true for Iron Man, Hulk, X-Men, and countless other characters.

The spider-sense can be fooled.
Especially is the user really thinks the person attacking them is a good person.
His spider sense was activated that entire time up until he got back to the lab.
Other Spider totems don't set it off. Neither does the Venom symbiote, or its spawned symbiotes, since it was bonded to Peter.
Common misconception. It’s just precognition, not only for danger.
Even with all thats going on he still looks up to him and relies on him and it hurts that peter couldn't help him here
Not suprising that he’s asking for help either. Miles is 15 in this movie, 14 in the last one

Shit I wish the Spiders That *Did* Break their canons made their own canons made their own group to stop Miguel when he does shit like this
He doesn't deserve to wear a mask if he think that's the only option.
"You're just a kid who has no idea what he's doing!"
To be fair, Miguel, a lot of the Spider-People were like that at one point in their lives
Miguel doesn't understand that because he was an adult when he got his powers and unlike the rest of them, he INTENTIONALLY aquired his powers. It wasn't an accident.
@@kidprime6863 It was an accident, his coworker sabotaged him. Read the comics again
That’s how MOST of the Spider People started
@@excaliburknight1016 It’s rather the fact he’s not trying to find another way. He’s letting many universes lose people, because he thinks some algorithm defines it. Because that’s his best way out. yeah, it did seem like that, he had even destroyed him his suit and barely measured his blows when he already got him
Miguel really has lost his way.
@@denver9290 I know this is an old comment, but none of that is unique to this movie. That's just basic Spider-Man 2099 stuff.

Good question..i have wondered the same.. but I think since he is now, he has to go through it on behalf of the person who is actually supposed to ??
it’s literally miguel just projecting.
It probably doesn't since the Canon already happened to the original Peter
It simply doesn't. Miguel is just trying his hardest to be the smart one. He's yelling at Miles about being a mistake, so the canon doesn't apply for him since he never was supposed to become Spider man. He said it himself, if Miles never became spider man, his Peter would alive. And if Miles becoming Spider man isn't canon, nor is Peter dying, it's quite clear that he has no canon, no events that are set in stone.
1.Spider sense goes on a hyperdrive while outnumbered
2.Its much easier to escape than to catch someone

@@ozansimsek1660. I got the idea from a video made by some spiderman fan! ;)
@@TheRedMan77 We knew where it originated as far as actual spiders, but it works well beyond those confines in the comics, even warning Spider-Man before an explosion goes off, or if someone has a gun in their pocket, neither of which have anything to do with vibrations in the air.

this movie shifts from calm to intense in a split second, along with the fast paced action that you can barely follow, makes it a very special watch. best movie of 2023 hands down.
Thank you thank god someone said it
In Miguel’s defense not everyone is perfect
@@markperez9613 yes but doesn't excuse some of things he does with a list
6:42 MESSED UP. Miles gets his DNA scanned and it indicates its origins are from earth 42.. so there really was no way home for miles
The computer scanned the Spider’s DNA
If only rest of us knew that we paid attention the details. Miles already was getting into trouble by not getting back home
I see what you did there.
NO WAY HOME-
Say that again LOL
@@godspeedforce9371No that was caused because Spot opened a black hole in the middle of the city, and it was being destroyed
God I’m not too keen about MCU shit coming into this trilogy
@@Abyss_Princess Miguel literally cofirms that it wasnt the spot, but the effect of the canon being broken.
Miles stopped a fix point in time, thus caused the destruction of pavitr's dimension
“When you can do the things that I can do, but you don’t, and THEN the bad things happen… they happen because of you.”
That quote from Tom’s Peter fits perfectly with Miles and him choosing to save his dad.
"What's important is not standing by and allowing someone to suffer or die because you do nothing. If you don't get that, you don't get the first thing about being spider man."

Not only did it work better for pacing but it helped submit that Miles was more mature. Despite their big differences and the fact he's willing to let his dad die and stop him for doing it, Miles says sorry but I'm going to do differently as a way of saying he doesn't hate him for it.

I realized at 3:00 when miles glitches, it shows him wearing the spiderman merch when he was younger
Same
3:06
Okay so I noticed that too and came to the timed comments 😅
During this scene when he glitches slow the video speed down to as low as possible, does it seem like it also shows a real version of miles?? Or am I reaching there ?
I think the biggest hole in Miguel's whole plan is that Spot is part of Miles' canon event and they know it, yet they also want to catch him?
Spot is a threat to the entire multiverse. They have to stop him.
I don't know why I loved this shot 9:39 it almost bring horror feels
Maybe because he's just an inheritor pretending to be Miguel!
@@erikbihari3625Right! And he's also the vampire typa spider-man!
@@reg1019 The "Vampire" type Spider-Man thing is a result of him getting his powers. Miguel wasn't bitten by a Spider, his DNA was genetically altered and it made him half man and half spider.

@@thegirlofmanyfandoms99 I am only talking about the kick.
I mean miles in intsv wouldn't have been confident to do it but now he knows who he is the kick is nice because miles is. Confident in himself
Honestly miguel was so different than everyone in the movie and i love that
I still think Spot is going to be the reason all the canon events happen, like he insures they either lose their loved one, or the whole world.
Yep miles was standing on business and he was fighting for himself
