i was actually fishing just near here a few days back and there was some schools of kings busting up. i only had a 2500 reel i wanted to try catch one for a funny video but i didn’t have the right lure to hook up

I HATE the soft plastics. They may well catch fish, but as you know, They All end up in the environment... and they reckon that the micro plastics have now reaçhed every corner of the planet.... Which is also strange because the planet is basically a sphere... and spheres do not have corners..( WTF )

Depends what system and landbased or boat. I'm assuming Harbour so I would say the wharves around the harbour bridge are safe bets

I reckon you'd have had more success using a bigger jig head and knocking out the kingies as you slapped the jig into the bust up!!
I've had soo many similar experiences with schools of fish feeding on micro baitfish and not striking at small lures.........FRUSTRATING!!
Equally frustrating is when the fish stay just out of reach of casting distance! 😠😠

Trust me I don't. I often donut but I still go out there and give it a go regardless of tides, rain, wind etc and sometimes it pays off. You can hear how brutal the wind was, I almost broke my camera because it felt onto the ground haha

Hello I'm new to your fishing UA-cam channel 🎣 👍🏼 is the rod with the saltiga spinning combo is it a have spinning rod what pound braided fishing line do you have on it nice tackel boxes and fishing lures my friend 👍 what kind of chum did you use to throw in the water lol why sniff the fish😂😂
Welcome mate! Yeah the Saltiga combo had a Stradic SW 5000 and it's got 30lb braid but will break a lot higher. No burley or chum, these fish come hunting in close for baitfish and prawns you can see the baitfish showering out of the water when they bustup lol. Just gotta throw any sort of lure in there and you have a chance. Best to try similar profile lures to the bait first but if not, even something that stands out like the prawn lure I was using worked haha

During a bust up the kingies get so focused on the tiny bait they ignore larger lures. Its almost like they can't see it. I cut my clear plastic in half and have had so much more success.

Hi Shroom, I'm interested in learning how to use soft bait. but I have never caught a fish with it. I just want ask if the soft bait that I am using is correct, 5 inches grub then jig head 3/8 ounce size 3.0. isn't the hook too big so there's no bite? because my fishing rod does not feel if i use the light jig head but im planning to change the fishing rod with light setup. Any suggestion for the size of hook?
Depends on the rod and reel you're using. Sounds either it's unbalanced or too heavy for the light jigheads but right for the 3/8's. 3/0 are fine for that sort of lure, could go as big as 5/0 comfortably

Yea shroom getting the kings. Whenever I see a bust up and cast my lure but they never seem to eat it.
Thanks Peter, it's hard to know what they will hit. It only takes one individual fish to strike and sometimes repeated casts gets the job done!

Shroom I wanna catch my first squid what area is good for them and what jigs do I get for them
Go to a place like balmain east and cast around. You will see other people squiding too and you'll have a good chance at your first. Use a 2.5 to start with because its hard to use smaller jigs at the start
