Given the fact I've listened to many forms of remakes of video game themes, this isn't just a mere remake, it's a very well thought out and well complementing improvement to the original song. While most metal covers or metal offer a spin on the track provided with just a guitar and heavy drum beats, yours has the fortitude and attentiveness I've rarely seen. I hear the original track but not simply to keep a form of familiarity but rather add and invigorate an (in my preference) already established track. I love everything about this, from the drums affixed to the accompanied traditional strings and horns all the way to the encompassing echo affects added for the entirety of the original track and more. I'm so happy I stumbled across this channel while looking for MH:W related topics. Thank you for existing and doing such a wonderful job dear(s).

Yeah, the drop rates are pretty shit for fangs. Have to kill that bastard soooo many times
If you're having trouble, be sure to *only* hit his face until It breaks, you can tell it's broke when his left tooth is chipped. Something i learned farming this dude.
Except for one problem...I get only 1 fang per-hunt every time I kill him. The gear I plan to craft would need about 5-6 fangs. It would be tedious and tiresome if I were to farm him that many times.

Tentaman combo it with investigations involving Vaal. You'll have a higher chance for more.
When I first fought this I had one thought: "WHY AM I FIGHTING A ZOMBIE DRAGON THAT SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF MONSTERS?!"

@@draw2death421 I actually saw a theory about that in a different video (not by this guy). He thinks that Vaal Hazak figured out something was wrong when he came to the New World, and he struggled to stay alive to figure out what it was and made a symbiotic relationship with the effluvia that otherwise would have decomposed his flesh. So I think he's actually half decomposed already...
Vaal Hazak was my chosen "help the randoms" Elder Dragon before Iceborne.
Too many randoms always trying to fight it without Effluvium Res. But once you disable that particular feature, the guy is a complete cakewalk. So Tempered Vaal was an easy one for farming decorations. I'd just spend the first 5 minutes beating the crap out of it solo and then drop the SOS so other players could show up in time for carves and quest rewards.
I don't really do that much now. These days it is bout trying to help idiots through the Alatreon assignment.
Man, joining SOS quests with Alatreon can be pure hell. Tfw your entire party is longsword users with lightbreak weapons and no astera jerkey or healing items :|

but if you want to use Normal ammo, get the charm (IIRC, Kushala drops the materials needed).
Spread ammo also helps (Breaks parts better).
And of course... Cluch shots too.

Me: Recently made armor specifically to avoid Dragon Aids and a 400 Fire Damage Anja Switch Axe.
My First Tempered Vaal: Proceeds to literally wipe the floor with me while my Palico is sitting at camp.
This probably suits Arch Tempered Vaal quite well, gives a much more intense vibe than the Vanilla theme.
Something that I've been wondering about Vaal here, specifically regarding its wings. Are the tattered membranes actually part of its body, or is it just dead flesh from other monsters. I'm leaning towards the latter, but that essentially means that Vaal Hazak's "wings" are just limbs with really long fingers.
This is actually a good question. Im going to go with both, seeing as how he is still able to fly by using them. He uses his necromantic powers to keep the flesh from falling apart etc.
Or maybe at one point Vaal was a regular elder dragon (insomuch as an elder dragon can be considered "regular') and had full wings, but being in the Rotten Vale with flesh devouring effluvium permeating the atmosphere ate away at the membrane of its wings as well as other parts of its body. Maybe that's why it wears the flesh of dead monsters, to give the effluvium something else to eat away, thus prolonging its life in the Vale.
well the game implies that vaal hazak is a overgrown and really powerfull girros that became an elder dragon and refused to die, now let that sink in and imagine how terrible it would be if the same happened to a pickle jhoe.

When you don’t have any miasma resistance
Vaal is probably my most hunted monster, including small monsters. I just never get bored of slicing him up, and he makes a badass looking set of armor.
That intro really captures that feeling of descending into a pit of rot and death, while the rest of the song just feels like your wading through all the decay and stench of the veil, only to come face to face with this THING of fetid skin and sagging flesh and way too many teeth baring down on you to rip you apart or rot you from the inside out, whatever happens first. Excellent job as always!

That's not guaranteed, though. It only has a 67% drop rate. Best way to do it is via Investigations. That way even if you don't get one from breakages you might get one (or more) from the bonus rewards.
Or you could get really lucky and carve it.

Sand Katze great! So you're almost done then. You know you don't bother us at all. We were kinda worried. I'm almost at the end of this part of my studies. I have a big test at the beginning of june, and that will determine in which school i go after that. So i'm almost done with that too.
Fingers crossed for that, then! Next semester is my final one for my Bachelor's studies, after that I'll have to do two years of master studies and then I'm done.

These is one of THE greatest Metal music I've ever heard....hands down..
Before knowing nothing about monster hunter, I originally thought Vaal Hazak was a elder dragon that sucked the souls or life force out of other creatures to keep itself alive. While I know now the effluvium is a bacterial organism in a symbiotic relationship, I feel that should have been Vaal Hazak's lore. It would have made the dragon that more interesting and creepy.
To be fair if that was the case Malzeno probably wouldn't exist, since that is exactly what he does.

I remember seeing Vaal Hazak for the first time and my jaw just dropped in both shock and slight disgust at what on earth I was looking at! Basically a zombie dragon that can use the effluvia around it to ruin any hunter's day if they're not prepared! I also like the gear you can make from it. Kinda makes you look like a Nazgûl from LOTR.

Adding the opera voices to this theme reminds me of Twilight Princess' soundtrack, besides the guitar of course. In any case, I really like this version.

MH franchise is for very specific player bases.
I'm very interested, I love action/action-rpg games, SoulsBorne series being my favorite of all time and this doesn't seem but so far off gameplay-wise. I just don't have the money right now haha.
Leland Anderson the problem is most MH games are very repetitive. These games will have you to hunt the same monster over and over again to be more powerful for the next greater challenge, rinse and repeat. Only a specific group of players find this enjoyable.
Oh so it requires you to grind hardcore, well that can be a little offsetting to some, I'm 50/50 on that aspect. While I like a challenge, I also get annoyed with how long I am stuck on certain parts some times. But at the same time, it makes you feel that much more accomplished when you finally get past the part. Part of the reason I enjoy SoulsBorne games so much.

MHW has fun and unique combats that can keep you hook for a long time, but you will run into one of those situations that you farm for that one super rare item which has one in a million chance to drop.
