- A review of the 2022 Ram Rebel GT. The GT package adds some things to the Ram 1500 that were originally limited to the Ram TRX. If you want a truck that's like a muscle car, then the new Ram Rebel GT might be for you.

I’ve had one of these with almost every option on order since the end of a August. Nice to finally hear that exhaust, thanks. Even more excited for it now. Maybe they’ll finally build it next year for me 🙄
You’ve had a Rebel on order since late August of 21’? Has the dealership not given you updates at all, or is it just supply chain issues?
@@jaimezavala2973, the only updates I’ve had from them are that there are no updates. From a brief web search though, it appears build times for the 1500 are currently 16 - 22 weeks.

@@jaimezavala2973, yeah, me too! Currently sharing my wife’s Outback here in the Michigan snow, as I sold my Camaro a couple of months ago when we left California. I sure hope you get yours in less time than mine’s taking. It’s very hard to plan when a dealer tells you it should only take 8 weeks.
Have one on order - granite color - sounds good. Can wait for it to be delivered. I personally prefer the console shifter - to each his own, I guess. I will definitely use the paddle shifters, LOL.

Just purchased a 2023 G/T rebel having problems with my Tom Tom navigation system citing in and out when my Bluetooth is connected have you heard of fixes? It appears to be a problem after googling it, however no resolution from my dealership?
I haven't seen anyone yet really use the paddle shifters on these. I test drove one yesterday and very on the fence about it. I like the rotary knob on my existing 1500 and agree the shifter is kind of just in the way. The price of the G/T package is hard because it comes with a lot of nice stuff like the seats and paddle shifters but the exhaust and intake could be added at a fraction of the price. Paddle shifters can't be added afterwards..
Yeah, the only thing that's really new or "exclusive" when it comes to the GT package are the paddle shifters and console shifter. I like paddle shifters in general but when it comes down to it they're really not necessary on a full-size truck. So in my eyes, that's not a reason to spring for the GT Package. Nor is the console shifter - I'm glad someone else agrees that the rotary shifter has real benefits! All the other nice stuff that the G/T package adds can be added via other packages, and to get a real feel for the cost of the paddle shifters + center console shifter, you'd have to break out Excel and back out the value of the exhaust, cold air intake, power seats and other features bundled into the G/T package from that $3,000 figure. You could get a valuation for some of these things by seeing what Ram charges for them individually via the online configurator, but the automakers purposely make it difficult to figure out real costs in these cases because that lack of transparency works to their advantage.
I started my career working in product planning for an OEM, and my department spent a lot of time trying to figure this stuff out for our competitors.

Good luck finding one under 90k people forget about taxes and fees. For a trx you're looking at 102k out the door
Let us know if you have issues with air suspension . I live in 🇨🇦 Manitoba. We get cold like you up there. I opt out of the air suspension on my 2019 Longhorn.

Careful with how you interpret that - The 2022 Tundra can't be evaluated yet since there's no data out there, i.e. there are only a few on the road right now and the oldest ones are just a month or so old.

It has plenty of room in the Crewmax trim. I just bought one like that today, 2022 Rebel, different package, but same color. It’s an amazing truck. Go for it if u have kids and u won’t regret.
Sad as TRX is in a catagory of its own . Don’t need imitation trucks that aren’t as I own a TRX
