Well 'Mother' certainly flopped.... it cost 30 million to make and earned only 44 million at the box office... hardly a huge money maker, what's a bet this movie doesn't do much better!!

This movie is actually going to do amazing lol
Yeah tbh I don't feel like this movie is going to do well. It's already getting a ton of criticism for casting her annoyingly fake Russian accent and obviously fake dance moves. I also feel like she's not doing a great job promoting it. Every interview I've seen with her thus far of promoting the movie is her (usually drunk) telling people "not to go see it if you're gonna hate me for it." She apparently seems to think that she has a lot of haters that just go into movies immediately hating it because she's starring in it and not because it's just a bad movie. I mean, I'm sure that is sometimes the case but I actually think popular opinion of her is pretty positive and either way, it's a very weird way to approach a movie you're starring in. It makes me actually not want to see it at all
It almost feels like since Passengers, she's kind of fallen off the wagon a bit because she got so much criticism for that one and hasn't been able to bounce back from that. I mean that was a BAD movie, whether it was her performance or just the story line it was not great and she even admits it. Then the next movie she does after that one is....Mother? Which wasn't a terrible movie but her performance was. I honestly think she's actually taking a year off from acting to get her self-confidence back because you can tell in her work and just in the way she does interviews that she's not feelin it anymore.
If you're interested in Box office stats, you should know that Mother! was never intended to be a Box Office hit. You have to have noticed patterns? Red Sparrow had a similar opening weekend to Atomic Blonde. Comparably for the type of movie, it's doing well.
