I'm impressed. You did this without Attack Boost and Guan Yu at lvl. 49. When I have a time based 5th weapon (Guan Yu, Sun Ce, Wang Yi, etc), I like having my characters at lvl. 99.
Yeah that is extremely annoying when they do that, but you can do a interim save right before you fight Lu Bu or when he's near death, that ways if he kills you or if he gets killed by your ally, you can just quit to the main menu and select continue and try again.

A faster way to defeat Lu Bu is to use a weapon that is fast at filling musou and spam Guan Yu's third musou attack. Or you can just equip him with xiahou yuan's fifth weapon and insta-kill him.
Yep I'm on the 360, would've got it for the PS3 if I own that console 'cause there's a few bugs here and there on the 360 version....most notably the frame-rate lag.
well Zhao Yun is the only one in the ROTK novel that basically does a "dynasty warrior" feat with what he did at Chang Ban(basically fighting Cao Cao's army alone trying to save Liu Shan and actually succeeding) so I say he is a bit deserving of it.

Really late but I am going through older console titles and this got me, I tried to do this but on my end, it seems impossible, catapults are always hitting me at the worst times, Lu Bu 2 hits me and dead over and over, not sure what you all are doing to accomplish this :o
I'm not 100% sure 'cause I haven't played online, if it's not unlocking then the only thing I can think of is did you get the finishing blow on both Hua Xiong and Lu Bu. Also do you have a Crescent blade as one of your weapons and playing as Guan Yu? If it still won't unlock I'd try offline.
Ok does this have to be single player? Cause my husband and I just did this in 8 minutes; I played a higher level Wang Yuanji to get LuBu down to nearly nothing and he got the LuBu kill-not a bodyguard, not me, and he already killed Hua Xiong single handed.... why didn’t we get the weapon?
It's been awhile since I played the game but from what I can remember as long as the player that's going for the weapon completes all the objective the weapon should spawn in co-op. Was he player 1 or 2? Maybe that has something to do with it, trying doing it with him as player 1, and if all else fails then try single player. Good luck.
PimplyPete i think it was because we didn’t play in story mode cause we got the six star weapon by playing story mode.... so we will try that. He was first player in story mode too whereas for this one he was 2nd player in free mode. So we will try again just to have all the star weapons
Use Sima Zhao weapon whose at least rank 4 (Skymaster weapon) with Cyclone skill level 5 or higher, after pressing square 5 times continuously (in ps3) at the same time press the triangle, you will defeat officer immediately, I saved more time by using his weapon with almost all characters and confront 5 or more officers in Chaos or Hard difficulty and killed them in no time.
Yeah I was wondering that myself when I was recording. When I first played that level on Normal....Lu Bu literally killed me in two hits. Guess it's another bug. =/
When I got guan yu's weapon Lu Bu was completely still blocking he moved and landed some hits but that's it. I guess I was lucky getting his weapon without any problems
Lu Bu is so damn overpowering! Even in 7 he was. He doesn't even flinch, and so, what's the point of the Weapon affinity system on him if he doesn't flinch until the blue thing on his head depletes and then he seems like he's getting killed. I think Koei-Tecmo praises him too much. The games were better before the Koei-Tecmo formation.
just temper two halberds with Slash, Induction, Flurry, Flash, Velocity and Jubilation. Keep switching your weapon while comboing LuBu. I killed him in just 10 seconds :P Yes on Chaos and also a lvl where you normally can't kill him XD
What the hell, this was supposed to be on a high difficulty but Lu Bu didn't even attack you, even when he had some opportunities. I know he takes forever to kill, but in terms of his AI it doesn't seem like they did a good job of making him a challenge. Seriously, did he even swing once?
theres two musiu types u can use for different characters i for got wat level u unlock the third musou but at least be lvl 25 first musou is b second jump b third hold down rb and press b
No, as long as you fulfill the requirement it should drop the weapon regardless of your characters level, but it will be easier if your at a higher level.

Just got done recording and editing Dian Wei, so if everything goes well it'll be up later today.

Great Guide 10/10 would pursue Lu Bu again.
Just by using the character a lot and also if you built the Academy in Ambition mode, you can level up any character with Gold.

For the Achievement/Trophy yes you have to beat both historical and hypothetical.

Use Fire Attack to reduce Lu Bu's health to half, that way is easier than you try harder with his own halberd.

Yes but you have to be the one that completes the requirements, so make sure player two don't kill Lu Bu.

Yeah you can't use Lu Bu, you have to use the character that's an expert with the weapon. So for the Crescent Blade you have to use Guan Yu.

When i was fighting lubu hebwas almost dead then the time is only 6 seconds left, and i killed lubu in the last second :D

or you use Lu Bu's Halberd then always use 4th combo attack with a counter affinity to more storm rush
