I live in the UK. The authorities would give you 25 years for that edc! I'd love to live in a free country.
+gleni3000 It's pretty sad that our founders ancestors were from England and inspired by the ideas that were born there. I feel we are headed the same way. I wish you success in your journey to freedom.
Glen I 300 maybe we can make a trade?
You for Obama?
Well come on over, dinners' hot.
Yep, we can't even EDC any sized LOCKING knife without having a 'good reason' (legitimate excuse) so we have to make do with a sub 3" slippy. Crazy situation.
it's cool to see that sootch is popular even over the pond. I'm a Texan, pewpew
"you don't wanna carry extra things" has 3 guns
2 at a time, the others are options.
@@kevingriffin8854 (carry’s 2 guns at a time)
@@b-regsproductions yes sir, i stated "2 at a time". Good job buddy.
Just picked up a Shield in 9mm working on a holster system. Also picked up Olight S30II nice light.thanks for the videos.
I honestly don't understand this ridiculous amount of stuff to carry every day. I have: phone, two bank cards, two keys, tiny knife. That's it, it does me just fine. I'm in the UK.
+Edward Hall well islam is not a bad thing
+Alexander Althoff Thanks bro I'm Muslim!
Good! I hope you're right, but even if you're not, its your choice and I respect that. I don't see the reason why you need to criticize this guy for what he carries. You don't live where he does nor do you live his life. You have no idea what's necessary for him.
+we tolow you are everything that is wrong with america.
juliusc94 you are entitled to your opinion, now fuck off, we don't care what you think. where are you from? the congo?
just can't go wrong with the G26
+Mrgunsngear Channel Amen Brother.
+sootch00 Are you still carrying the P30SK? Your review of that pistol has made it my primary EDC.
+Scott Smith I carry the HK P30sk as much as any pistol and it was on my belt during the review. I decided to mix it up since I carry different guns for review purposes. I love the P30. Thanks
+sootch00 I can't decide what to get for my first handgun. I have narrowed it down to the glock 26 and the glock 19. I'm not sure if the glock 19 is a little to big. Do you ever conceal and carry the glock 19 and does it work?
+sootch00
What ammo do you use for EDC in the LCP. Thanks!
FYI for future videos - copies of keys are able to be made from pictures. You might not want to show your keys, especially pointing out which is your house key.
+Pepsiaddicto Yeah, I considered that but my security alarm will still go off. Plus they'd have to know where I live : )
+SensiblePrepper what is your opinion on shoulder holsters?they seem really confortable and most of them have magazine pouches
+SensiblePrepper and there is a truck load of guns they would answer to haha
+SensiblePrepper So what is your address......I believe you have a pair of my ripped shorts
Another great your.....thank you.....Merry Christmas
+Pepsiaddicto Don's house would be the LAST house I'd consider breaking into. I've seen his arsenal (Sootch channel)
Ok love the choices you have here. My only addition is my stainless Gerber multi tool. And paracord bracelet and whistle. As a telephone repairman these two items help a ton. Love the videos been watching you for years. Keep up the good work Brother!
Merry Christmas bud. Thanks for another year of great videos. Appreciate the time and effort you put in to them.
I guarantee everyone who EDCs puts their gear on with that music in their head.
+CircaSriYak Lol! Ready for action!
I hear the Mission Impossible theme. Lol
+Trevor Drahem you are still im highschool
It's funny how you guys are equipped like a police officer, and i am not even allowed to carry my folding knive here in Europe.
Nice gear, i love the g26!
I live in Ukraine and I carry two throwing stars, Wallet, phone, keys, flash light, one military knife on my belt and/or a small razor sharp Haller knife strapped to my lower leg right above my ankle.
I live in the uk the police don't carry 1 gun lol
What country are you from? Because here in the Netherlands carrying a folding knife is legel, as long as it's not spring loaded. Carrying a gun however seems absolutely ridiculous to me.
+Tobias Moes I am your neighbour from Germany. A folding knife like a swiss knife is legal here too. But no spring loaded ones or knifes that can be opened single handed.
+ProPlays 007 I know. what do you think about that?
TY for the review. Merry Christmas
I just ordered a key-bar, looking forward to organizing my keys.
Man I love this guy. I have been watching him for about a year and a half and I just love to look at his edc
Wait! No condom? What kinda soldier are you?
+GetMeThere1 Yeah, really I was expecting to see some condoms in that wallet.
***** Well...I'm 62...and I'd say you're exaggerating the effects of age in men...just a bit.
I agree 100 percent,I'm 43 now I still like a roll in the hay,but it's not like an addiction or thinking about it every second of every day! Think I'm gonna use the upper head for a change and stop thinking with the lower head!
***** OK. About the "...whenever a good looking woman walks by...." I would say, for me, that urge started to soften in, maybe, my middle 50's or so. And I thought THAT was early, LOL.
When i see that kind of videos i imagine that USA is like battlefield. And for the record i live in Greece and we EDC phone , keys ,wallet watch that's all
+uwut mate gg
This is second EDC video a wached and I have the same thoughs. They cary 2 guns and knifes. They coll it EDC sow woth they cary if zone is hot??! I live in Poland.
I imagine most sheep don't know what goes on in the world, only what goes on in there barbed wire enclosure.
+uwut mate its because guns are illegal in most countrys
+John Smith so edgy m8
I always like you EDC setup, thank you for sharing your ideas.
Another great video Sootch! Thanks for sharing some of our Amp-3 products. Your the best!
kobalt folding utility knife I use it everyday. and a multi tool
Looks Like He is Going to Fight an Army Everyday😂
That hell bent holster looks pretty slick. I'm going to check that out. Thanks! Same with the key holder
really appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. from fire arms to pocket knives you have presented a very realistic and practical purpose for the gear you review and on occasion promote(not push, big difference).God bless.have merry Christmas,to you and yours, from me and mine!
+Bruce Clark Thanks Brother! Merry Christmas to you and yours~
I would hate to see a video made by a women that was on her EDC. That would be a lonnnnnng video.
God bless
+TechysTechTalk bless what?
+HoganTon Our lives.
+TechysTechTalk Thanks Brother
+HotanTon +sootch00 God bless everything to those who believe in His Son.
+sootch00 Ill have to take a look at that keybar thing, I've seen them on all those other prepper channels.
I add a multi-tool and a pen to my carry. I'm currently using a Shrade pen and a SOG power duo. Of course your review of the power duo convinced me to try it, and now it's a mainstay of my carry.😄
Thanks for the great tips, and thanks for sharing the out-takes!
Love God Love your channel. Thank you brother. G26 everday.
+KK Prepper Thanks Brother
No pen?
+Mechanical I forgot... yes, I do. Thanks
Great video Sootch that IWB holster is the most beautiful holster I have ever seen, kicking myself since I just bought a different one right before watching this video. In my EDC I carry a keybiner, its very similar to your keybar except it has a built in carabiner with a pry bar, and a few wrenches built into the frame. It is made of aluminum and very light but very durable and can hold up to 13 keys.
Sootch those are very nice holsters I too carry g26 thanks for showing me different ideas. I just watched your trip wire video that has a signaling device attached genius brother I have woods at my 6 and always wondered about that.
Electrical tape, way more useful that you might think.
On your person at all times?
Jake Simdeth Yup.
3 guns!? what world do you live in? what's with all the knives ?
If you read the description above you'll see he trades the larger semi autos out on different days so two guns, not three. I used to carry four knives. Now two if you count the blade on my multi-tool. I don't live his life, I don't know what he's dealing with or the risks he's faces. Maybe he's over the top or maybe it's all necessary. You'd have to live his life to know for sure.
+John Smith your a little carried away too.
I EDC everything here with the addition of a Leatherman Rebar and a small Bic lighter kept in a pouch on my belt. I could not imagine not EDC'ing a Leatherman as it sees use every day. Great videos, and thank you.
Sootch you Rock!!! Best EDC video out there. Alway an education. Thanks for being there for us.
No med kit?
+Logic Bob No. In my truck, shop but not on my person.
+Logic Bob He always has one.
+Richard Maunder When you're bleeding out, a kit in the truck mine aswell be miles away.
+Dave R RAT
+Dave R so true so true I preach this to everybody that carries a pistol the least you can do is carry a TQ on person all the time. I keep a Ricci ankle medkit which is pretty much a small IFAK on my ankle
What do you need a single, let alone 3 guns for everyday?
+Sean Straub If you're saying why do you need a gun? I'd have to ask why are you viewing this video much less commenting on it if not to cause someone heartburn. If you are asking why three? (which I thought might be a tad excessive myself but, as in all things, must be a personal choice) he said that he didn't carry them all simultaneously that they were "in the rotation" which you should have heard had you been paying attention to the video instead of preparing your scathing rhetoric.
What else is he going to use to bring down a syndicate by himself?
love your videos and both channels thanks for the inspiration sir
Great channel! I have learned so much from you. Please keep up the good work.
This is hilarious. Honestly,. What is it like to be you, and be that paranoid? For fuck sake.
paranoid? i would say prepared. how about you? what do you carry? a cell phone? just remember when seconds count, 911 is just minutes away.
+Kevin Wintersteen It has nothing to do with where you live. You could live in the "nicest" place in the world and you still can't control everyone around you and what someone might do. That's why things like gun laws don't work because criminals or people with mental issues won't just obey the law when they've already made the decision to do whatever it is they will do and no amount of laws will stop them from doing it so why stop someone or question someone for wanting to be prepared just in case? Have you never heard the term "It's better to be safe than sorry"?
The keybar is great, I'll will get it for sure. Great idea! Thanks!
I have been living in the UK now , for more than 20 yrs , and I still wake up some mornings and feel for my handgun. Damn I miss my guns , had 23 in South Africa , carried hip and ankle since the age of 16 , My EDC changed over time , but my ankle gun was always a Walther PPK 7.62 , and the hip gun I really liked among many that I carried , was my trusty Star 30M , was never a big fan of Star , but the 30 m was hefty and strong. I also liked the Browning HI-Power a lot. The law here is a bit strange , but the rule of law still works here , ..mostly, I respect this country , it is generous and its heart is in the right place. We just need a constitution like yours. Respect the USA enormously , and I would go to war with you guys anytime !! Had the privilege of the company of some great Americans during the Rhodesian bush war. Like your vids and your attitude.Keep well bud.
I always carry my Leatherman utility tool. The pliers and screwdrivers come in handy alot.
I like your style for 2016 Sootch! 👍🏻 Happy Holidays to you and your family and all the best for 2016! Thanks for the year of great reviews. You have helped me in many purchases!! lol 🎄🎉👌 Thanks again brother!
That key bar is new to me, about to order one now. Thanks brother!
ive been watching edc videos i like how u actually show how u carry good job great video
I edc a Leatherman Charge TTi. Very useful tool. Full of features. Use it a lot. Bench Made are great knives. Carry Contigo also. Prometheus key chain lights are super bright and small.
Before I got a new phone, I had that same Magpul phone case. I loved that thing to death! Sweet video
I carry the G26 and LCP together as well with the same spare mags. It's comforting knowing I have 41 rounds at my disposal. I home carry one of them most of the time since they are so comfortable to carry.
Same here Sootch I carry my g26 iwb with a 11round mag + 1 chambered. But I carry two glock 19 mags owb. I've been thinking of switching the g19 mags over to two g17 mags. Also carry a s10r baton and a Ontario rat2.
Santa brought be a olight m1x striker can't wait to try it out and carry it. I'm going to revamp my edc as well to include a tourniquet and a back up flashlight
Merry Christmas !!
Loved the EDC Chapstick !! 😊
Great video Don! But one suggestion that I'd make is some sort of multitool! I personally always have one on me whenever possible. My EDC multi tool of choice is the Leatherman S2 Juice and it is just perfect! Has everything I need (knife, scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, can/bottle opener) and nothing I don't. It's also small, light and compact too. I HIGHLY recommend everyone carry a multi tool of some sort on their person!
You're the best Sootch!
Sending the love from the NW! There are a ton of gun lovers up here in Oregon!! ;)
A compass, map , matches, and lighter I also carry. Other than what you have displayed in this very informative video.
I subbed , thank you for all your education.
I always have my Gerber crucial multi tool. I use the knife it has as my daily cutting tool. And the pliers and screwdrivers come in handy. Even has a carabiner that doubles as bottle opener.
love your vids Sootch00 I'm Currently rocking the Shield 9 & swapping between gen2 GLOCK 19 both loaded with 135 gr +p Critical defense :D
Great video Sootch! Thank you!
I EDC and will EDC in 2016: Flashlights (Fenix PD35 and Olight S1) watch (Casio G-Shock) telescopic baton (ESP 16'') pepper spray (KO JET) pocket knife (Victorinox Tinker) tactical pen (Williams CRKT) and my cell phone, of course!
Stay safe! And keep up the good work!
im going backpacking this summer and i was wandering if you could do a vid on you making a camping/backpacking bag and show what you chose to put in it
Great ipdate, I just added Chap Stick to my 3DC last week due to winter! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Don! My EDC is very similar to yours minus the BUG, I carry 2 spare G19 mags, but I do carry a SOF-w, Z-fold QC combat gauze and a 4" Izzy on my person. Mick-🇺🇸
That key thing is really cool. I might pick up one of my own.
Great video with lots of useful gear. I would add a Multi-tool like a Leather Wave for normal day and a SOG EOD Powerplay that I customized by removing the C4 spike and web cutter and added the scissors and socket set adaptor to have the bits available for any task I may need to do. Might want to try the Desantis Magazine carriers I have 3 of the double models that allow me to carry my Glock 40/357Sig, Standard double stack for my SIg 226 or 229, and the one for single stack 45 acp 1911 mags. For winter carry you should also check out the Desantis NY undercover shoulder rigs I have them for my GLocks, Sigs and 1911s they are a great improvement over the Galco Miami Classic with the snaps that allow you to carry your extra mags vertically or horizontally.
Great videos as always got the o light from your review thanks
Hey Don. Great video and EDC.... My only addition would be a good multitool. I use my Leatherman wingman all the time.
Love your channel Sootch! Great edc
My EDC is a Springfield XD 45 Mod 2 Sub compact, Galco King Tut IWB holster, 13 rd spare magazine, Kershaw knife, Surefire Light, keys, Two cellphones (one work, one personal), tri-fold leather wallet. I wear a business suit all day long. With the IWB holster I am able to take my suit jacket off and have my dress shirt tucked in over the holster and no one knows I'm carrying.
I have practiced and continue to practice drawing from the different ways I have it concealed. I think that is very important is to know how to draw safely and speedy when needed.
thanks for the vid you are one of my top 5 channel's I watch all the time.
nice video very complete I really like the key bar thanks for sharing
Great video and nice gear. I would add a Fisher Space Pen and maybe a keychain multi-tool. Leatherman Squirt is what I like.
I live in Chicago, so I can't even really carry a knife without it being a potential legal-annoyance. I regularly carry my Leatherman Wave with me, but something I don't think many people don't consider for EDC (be it budget or local ordinances) is a good boxcutter. I got a nice simple Husky boxcutter from Home Depot for work a couple years ago, and I love it because it's nice and flat and fits in my back pocket so easy and effortlessly that I can't help but carry it around even on off days. Razors are super cheap too, and sharp! Originally they would get a bit funky and rusty after a week or two, but since I got a ton of ballistol, I decided to spray the razor with it and wipe it down before I put it in, and not only does it cut better, but it doesn't rust or get anywhere near as dirty. I've been using this same blade for well over a month or two now and it still looks fairly new. Granted I'm not gonna be fighting off any attackers with it, however for down and dirty work, or just for cutting something, can't beat a simple razor, and I won't feel bad if I'm using it for a dirty rough job that I'd be hesitant to use a good quality knife or my leatherman wave blade on.
Thanks for the video first one ive seen actually put them on and show where they all go on the body as well as not having every thing tactical looking and high dollar.
I always carry a Fisher Bullet Space Pen. Small, light and very useful.
Great informative video as always,I would suggest an Anker PowerCore mini charger for your iphone, they really work good , when needed !! Thanks, JJ
I have used that ankle holster for over 3 yrs. very durable
Not really much to add for me; thrunite tn12, SOG Flashback, keys, wallet, phone, no firearm for a little while, but I do always have my victorinox signature on me and man do I love it. You never realize how much a pen comes on handy until you carry one all the time. And hell, most of my friends use my flashlight and pen more than I do!
Scotch I'm a fan of the G27. I have a conversion barrel and mags to convert to 9mm. I also keep G18 mags in my get home.
Leatherman Skeletool CX its smaller than any other of my leathermans but it only has the only tools I need, plus it has the bit driver too I use it all the time.
Great EDC! I would possibly add one thing. The bench made triage with the seatbelt cutter and glass break
+rentuaz Love the Triage! It's always in my truck.
I carry a multi tool with me everywhere and I use it a lot more than I thought I would, especially the screwdrivers.
Thank you for your online presence. Fantastic instruction.
To respond to your request, I'd opt for a longer (6" +) tac flashlight for non-lethal force tools at the EDC ready along with skills on using a belt if not already schooled up. And as a paramedic I carry a custom pocket sized trauma kit (but any compact TQ is better than nothing).
Take Care
I love your reviews, Sooch, and because of this video, I ordered THAT DeSantis Holster. Keep up the good work, Patriot! :)
I wear a paracord belt that I made, works great and is super strong and offers a TON of cordage when you need to scale a building or tie up a gang of bad guys. Subscribed, keep up the good work brother!
Been a big fan of urs for a while now, u do excellent reviews. Always enjoy ur vids. with that said here is my EDC, just to see what u think. I either go with a Glock 26 or Sig 938. Benchmade mini griptilan with a Kershaw Blur. Olight S10 Baton or a microstream. I also keep a Swiss army Cadet with a leatherman squirt & a mini bic (ran on a split ring) on my keychain .
I had major issues with my lcp so much that I got rid of it and stepped up to the glock 43. The lcp was purchased when they first came out. Would you know if they've improved. I really miss how compact the lcp was. FYI glock 43 is incredible and your reviews helped steer me to purchasing one.
I've carried a key bar for a couple years now, as a former janitor I can't stress how convenient a good key management system is
Bronson
My father swapped out the LCR for a Sig P938. What a sweet shooter! LCR i am sure is OK (but it had a long trigger pull and ergonomics were funny)
Hey Sootch, like your videos. What's your opinion on EDCing a smaller fixed blade knife? Like 3-5 inches, and conceal carry it. I carry a fixed blade knife and enjoy it much more than just having a folder and so much more reliable for both a tool and possible self defense other than my Glock 26.
Good vid. That's a well thought out sensible EDC
when you carry your extra full size magazine for your Glock 26 do you use anything like an X-Grip adapter to "fill in" the grip and give that "full size feel"?
I must say that I've made 3 recent purchases that have changed my world with EDC. 1 of which is a belt-pouch for carrying more crap lol Got this nifty belt pouch on Amazon for like $15-20. My friend Jenny who is much opposed to purses calls it my "Tactical Access Pocket", which I love. Biggest things that go in it are an extremely minimal amount of first-aid stuff, some Urban Prepper inspired things (like the EDC tin and "Mini Medi", since I'm always hurting myself somehow, I swear), and a battery charger pack for my phone that burns through battery super fast.
The other big two items are the Inova Micro-LED light (I have one in blue so it doesn't ruin my night vision in the dark) and a whistle I found at a local store, both of which are on my keyring with a Swiss Army Classic. I sometimes forget or can't carry a bigger flashlight, so that little inova light is nice so I always have a flashlight.
Sootch, what you really need in your EDC is a small pocket new testament.
Thanks for the great videos! keep up the good work and god bless.
A leatherman or Gerber multi tool is also a must!
Great video as always, glad to see the Costanza wallet has been replaced ;)
great video, thanks for posting it.
Love your content keep it up I like the xds with my alien gear holster in my EDC and I have just a cheap smith & Wesson knife
Great video......interested very much in the overall topic
cool vid. Pretty rock solid EDC I would have to say, falls in line with a lot of other EDC I have seen, along the lines of what I carry. Personally I would never swap a benchmade knife out for anything, but its personal preference, also don't carry 2 pistols, but I am considering it, love that wallet and the holsters ill be checking them out.
Nice EDC ... simple, high quality, straight forward
I like that he has humor about things! It comprises for 20% for why I come to this channel...80% to learn Lol
I came back to this to look at your watch. Have you any recommendations on a self winding watch? I'm really tired of changing batteries and with my luck when the SHTF, my watch will die. A good EDC/Tactical self winding watch would be my preference but a manual wind is acceptable.
sootch have you tried the Neomag yet? Looks like a great solution for minimalist pocket magazine carry instead of carrying a spare mag loose in the pocket.
Also, looks like the HK P30SK has fallen out of the regular rotation huh? That will probably be my next handgun purchase.
Great video. Thanks for 2 great channels to watch. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours.
Apparently ankle holsters have gotten better over the years. Back in the 80s I tried an ankle holster for my PPK. It never felt comfortable. Worse, I got into an altercation with a perp and the fell out on the ground. Fortunately a state trooper friend grabbed it for me. That was last time I wore that setup.
Since then I've always stayed with OWB, IWB, or shoulder rigs, depending on the gun and/or clothing choice.
