I watched your video a few times and there seems to be some steps missing in your instructions. The video goes from using the blow torch on each end of the 6-foot rope to showing a crosspiece that has been somehow nodded at different places on the original 6 ft piece of rope without any instruction for video leading up to what I see in the video
