Let's be honest, the Cars brand has made more money than The Incredibles, so Pixar are the ones laughing. But lets be honest, The Incredibles is 1000% better than all 3 cars movies combined. I love The Incredibles!
The scene in the jet with Elastigirl and the kids is probably my favourite of the entire film, it shows both what a bad-ass she is and how dedicated she is as a mother.
When I first heard Jack Jack's name I thought it was a reference to the term jack of all trades

When I was a young teen, I actually used that monologuing line in a story I was writing at the time. Long story short, a teenager was fighting a vampire general whom he had history with in a city overrun with monsters. The general had the hero in his literal clutches, and was going on and on about how he was going to kill the hero and everyone he loves, only for the hero to knee him in the balls. This led to the general keeling over and saying, "You sly dog, you had me monologuing." For thirteen year old me, that was the height of humor, reference-making, and literature in general. I'm glad I've come so far since then.

Why don't they ever mention the fact that Samuel L Jackson's lines, when he wants to take a drink of water in The Incredibles, because he's thirsty, is a mirror of his lines in Die Hard 3, when he wants to answer the phone? Those two scenes are almost exactly alike and they did it purposely. I'm surprised this wasn't in any of the facts. Watch Die Hard 3 and you will see how much these two scenes resemble each other.

Brad Bird confirmed that the movie is supposed to take place in the past, I feel like the date might be a reference to something relating to the creators.

Ratatouille is my favorite Pixar film, although Coco (released ten and a half years later) also has good candidacy for the title. The Incredibles was the film that introduced me to the famous A113 reference included in all Pixar movies, and it's nice to FINALLY get a reading on Edna Mode's distinctive accent: Middle European with Japanese influences.
Yes, I agree. CARS, and everything that spawned afterward, was Pixar's biggest mistake... and yet they have a whole section of DCA themed after Radiator Springs. Barf!

Edna does have a Japanese face.. (and hair style in a sense but she’s more shorter) but her accent was kinda hard to think she’s a Japanese german sometimes.. i love her tho... wait they removed the scene where Elasta girls friend died after he actually flew the plane, it’s on the special feature.... how can u read the tiny print on the newspapers??
The date on the newspaper Bob is reading is a reference to the release of the first Fantastic 4 comic book.
This is the only Pixar that doesn't have the Pizza Planet truck in it. Mainly because Brad Bird forgot to ask someone to put it in there.

I seen the Incredibles in the cinema when I was around 6 or 7. I also seen Finding Nemo a year earlier. And Sam, iIt wasn't cars that was disappointing it was Cars 2.
Also, Gazer Beam, one of the last supers at their wedding also dies as Mr. Incredble finds his body in the cave on the island where he blasted "Kronos" on the wall. Another lesser-known easter egg is a headline on the paper he reads " Catastrophe Seen As Crisis Looms" is an easter egg in multiple films and I think originated in Lady And The Tramp as a papers major headline.

I believe the Incredibles takes place maybe the early 1970s in the beginning and late 80s in the "present".
The reason I think this is mainly just the technology. The computer shown in Bob's cubicle is ahead of its time by about 13 years (since personal computers with monitors didn't become popular until the early 1980s.) And there's also a scene in the beginning with Frozone chasing a helicopter, helicopters were not popularly used until the late 1960s, let alone in 1947.
Incredibles 1 and 2 are really good movies. It really shows how if a studio really put their heart and soul into a film it can be great. Instead of making crap sequels to make a quick couple hundred million bucks. The fact that the underminer really is just to set up for the supers to go and set up the plan to make supers legal again. and the screenslaver i think is quite genuinely scary. There were a lot of foreshadowing to evelyn deavor being the screenslaver. Also the fact that if you say the vocals diffrently it says "evil endavor". Wow. Amyw- wait a minuite you sly dawgs! You made me write 2 paragraphs worth of praise to your genuinely great movie

I've heard that in the DVD giving the information on the superheroes, it says that one of the superhero 's weakness was that she was a teenager. As in one of the superheroes that got killed. Which is pretty dark.
But it forms into a conspiracy theory when you take into account that in infinity war (Disney does own Marvel) Spider-Man gets killed and he too is only a teenager and he turns into a million pieces in his death and also being sucked into a jet turbine will cut them into a million pieces.
This is a conspiracy theory that goes nowhere!

If the film takes place supposedly in 2006 than the beginning of the film probably took place in the late 80's early 90's, I mean look at the video and audio quality at the beginning of the film when they're being interviewed.
