The one who will bring about the end of all by the power of the Warrior of Light, who in striking him down will bring The End to Etheirys. The truly wild part about this is that apparently the choral part is computer generated and it's a mix of coincidence and the human ability to see patterns even when they're not there that it feels so 'right'.
The human ability to see patterns that are not there, or the human ability to connect the dots missing from the skein of reality? There are some things in the worlds where the probability of coincidence becomes to low. That said, this does indeed sound like computer generated gibberish and the lyrics are a stretch. @@IRedpunk Exactly. The brain is wired to filter data and identify patterns to increase survivability. It's why we see faces in stuff like the craters on the moon. I am still just in awe that ZODIARK, the thing that we'd been building up to since 1.0 was defeated at the end of Act 1 of the expansion. That takes some fucking giant titanium balls to try and explain why something that we had never even had a clue about (Metion/Endsinger) was the real mastermind behind all the bad shit, and the motherfuckers pulled it off spectacularly.
this track immediately gave me ff15 vibes of the leviathan fight the vocals the instrumentals all are heavy forboding and push a sense of impending danger or doom and an urgency to act to fight or die i love it ff14 has absolutely the best soundtrack in gaming bar none
I still remember getting to this trial and going "What? They're having us fight Zodiark NOW? At level 83? What the frick are they going to have us DO for the rest of the expansion?" Also "This is either a horrible mistake on the devs' part, or it's going to be one Hell of a plot twist." Well, now I know which. XD
"For the inner voice of the Dark One" the end of that line sounds much more like "... Zodiark come/call" to me. But yeah I see this one getting actual lyrics in an Eorzean Symphony version
This is the first bit of music/first moment i ever saw of FFXIV after entering someones stream just before the music kicked and so when i started playing, i was waiting for this moment. Took longer than i expected of course but it made it all the more satisfying when the music dropped.
This was the first trial and I was level 83 and this is what ran through my mind when the big bad of the entire games storyline was suddenly in front of me: "THERE'S WORSE THAN ZODIARK AHEAD OF ME?!?!".
I honestly thought the lyrics being sung was Latin, save Zodiark. Was NOT expecting it to be English lyrics. When I first got to this, my jaw dropped. "We're actually fighting him NOW, THIS EARLY?!" were my thoughts at the time, and it subverted my expectations, and prepared me for the unexpected.

They nailed the feel of this trial. I did the story for the first time with a friend, and we both had the exact same reaction to freakin’ ZODIARK showing up as early as level 83. “What the hell?! It’s way too soon for this! We are NOT ready!” And then, in you go…
I’m currently going my first play through of Endwalker and got to this part a couple of things went through my mind Why is Zodiark the first trial of Endwalker? Why is this music going so hard? OH GOD WTF AM I GONNA FACE AND THE END?
I remember back when this was still new stuff, and it was fantastic! After so many years hearing about Zodiark, this was perfect, right from Fandaniel onward. The battle theme was exhilarating and heroic, perfect tone for the Scions confronting their (they think) enemy number one.
The lyrics make it more of a tragic moment, as the very thing made from half this people we spent time trying to understand in which they poured all their hopes of salvation is actually taken over by one who incarnates the direct consequences of what they were blind to and would have destroyed them sooner or later in another form... Commented this under another, I know it's gibberish but I just found this so perfect. The dark mirror of "Hail the darkness hidden inside, hidden in all of you On wings of faith, your rise up through the night. Our Lord Zodiark Carry on our home. All of us knew, our perfect world let the chorus of hope take all" Matches so perfectly with the part I refer to as Endwalkers unofficial/Sharlayan theme from the intro aka the "Our song of hope, she dances on the wind. Higher, oh higher. E'er our vows endure and remain forever strong. Standing tall in the dark do we carry on. On wings of hope, you rise up through the night, Higher, oh higher. Carrying our song. Cradled fast within your arms. That it's chorus might ring for all. The EW intro then transitioning into Shadowbringers with: "One brings shadow, one brings the light, two toned-echoes tumbling through time. Tumbling down to the never" Brings it to its conclusion. Two God's, both born of the same cloth, both borne out of Hope for a future, one steeped in death, one steeped in life. I am not a songwriter but I would love to make an edit of this.
When I was expecting to fight this dude, I was expecting either some kind of orchestral music or something catchy. I did not expect it to sound like the Ancients were singing this as some kind of church choir along with the music.

MINE, ALL MINE!
@@Naixatloz stewie griffin personified?
I love the name of this song.
"Endcaller". The lyrics may be for Zodiark, but the song itself belongs to Fandaniel. For HE is the Endcaller. The one who will bring about the end of all by the power of the Warrior of Light, who in striking him down will bring The End to Etheirys. As the song to end all creation is called forth by Zodiark's death, the Final Days come upon us...
But they are a very close stretch, and it doesnt feel out of place. Which is a bit creepy.
@@NoBuddy89 your brain will try to make sense of nonsense or pretty much anything.
That’s how optical illusion works, they play with your brain.
@@IRedpunk Exactly. The brain is wired to filter data and identify patterns to increase survivability. It's why we see faces in stuff like the craters on the moon. Our brains are actively looking for this stuff, so of course we're going to find it whether it's actually there or not.
Optical illusions are a really cool one because they usually play with the way your brain cuts out the place where your nose obscures your vision and stitches the resulting images from your eyes together into one picture.
Must be the words without sound, talked in answer. Lies
I’d love if one of the Ascian’s voices sung the song of hope portion if these were ever made into official lyrics
I don't know if you meant that you wanted a solo Ascian voice singing the verse, but you can hear a chorus sing it in the orchestral arrangement preview here! Official lyrics should come accompanying the album's release on December 7th, so be sure to watch out for that😄😄

Wow, these lyrics really strike at a more desperate and relatable side of the Zodiark worshipping Ascians.
They definitely make a ton of sense especially after you finish your business in Elpis
No one is going to believe this, but after binging on this channel a day or so ago; was wondering when Zodiark's would pop up. This is awesome.
Trust me, I believe you, happens a lot on my end for different things
Can't wait for the Zodiark/Hydaelyn/Endsinger Ultimate fight where we get to see fully formed Zodiark
this track immediately gave me ff15 vibes of the leviathan fight
the vocals the instrumentals all are heavy forboding and push a sense of impending danger or doom and an urgency to act to fight or die
i love it
ff14 has absolutely the best soundtrack in gaming bar none
I like these lyrics better than official ones. They also make more sense
I like how there are those six magical circles on Zodiark for the six worlds that haven't been rejoined. You can see them pretty well at 2:45.
this gave me goosepumps. so creepy, majestic and legendary. Hail Zodiark
“Wait, we’re only level 83. Are we fighting Zodiark already??
…what happens AFTER that??”
The beginning is so epic especially in game, It was like an epic anime moment, your character looks up and there is Zodiark
Wait till 9.x then MAYBE there would be a chance to meet Him on his full form in EW Ultimate
XD
"What an expansion, huh"
"WoL that was the level 83 trial"
"For the inner voice of the Dark One" the end of that line sounds much more like "... Zodiark come/call" to me. But yeah I see this one getting actual lyrics in an Eorzean Symphony version
For me, this are the official lyrics. They fit really, really well.
I prefer these to the orchestral version's footfalls ones
This is the first bit of music/first moment i ever saw of FFXIV after entering someones stream just before the music kicked and so when i started playing, i was waiting for this moment.
Took longer than i expected of course but it made it all the more satisfying when the music dropped.
“ALL OF EXISTENCE. BEND TO MY WILL”
This was the first trial and I was level 83 and this is what ran through my mind when the big bad of the entire games storyline was suddenly in front of me: "THERE'S WORSE THAN ZODIARK AHEAD OF ME?!?!".
"hey, we're doing this game, it has a bunch of catgirls and bunny boys, make a boss soundtrack for us"
*The composer incinerating the fucking piano*
I know its in actuality just gibberish but the lyrics you put to it are great
its not actually gibberish, its tones and sounds meant to mimic words that your mind will simply connect the dots. they do that alot.
@@Shiirow It's called "glossolalia"; the lyrics aren't defined words, but they are purposeful and deliberate.
I was a bit surprised when he yelled "The end has come and so will I!"
These are the official one From the Final Fantasy XIV Orchestra Concert 2022 -Eorzean Symphony-, written by Michael-Christopher Koji Fox
Should we lose our way
Tire of all this pain
We won't be afraid
To forge ahead
Marching forward
Ever forward
Marching forward
Ever forward
Storm of blood inside us
Born from blood in silence
Two tone echoes down,
Tumbling down down
Now we yearn for freedom
For freedom
Stories sown along the way
Tales of loss and fire and faith
On, carry on
Strong, ever strong
Courage thriving hand-in-hand
Our souls aligned we forge ahead
Forward
Marching forward
Forge ahead
Our song of hope, she dances on the wind higher, oh higher
E'er our vows endure, and remain forever strong
Standing tall in the dark do we carry on
On wings of hope, you rise up through the night higher, oh higher
Carrying our song, cradled fast within your arms
That its chorus might ring for all
E'er the chorus rings
E'er the chorus rings on
Souls aligned, we forge ahead
Forge ahead
The lyrics really hammer home "this is only the L83 trial, keep marching forward"
Don't have the slightest idea how true this might be or not at all, but believe it 200%. I love this theme anyway and this kind of lyrics makes everything even better
God, I love FFXIV: Extreme Depression, it goes so well with my existing major depressive disorder.
Joke aside... God I fucking love this game, it makes me feel a genuine sadness AND happiness more than anything else. The writing in this game is beyond stellar.
They nailed the feel of this trial. I did the story for the first time with a friend, and we both had the exact same reaction to freakin’ ZODIARK showing up as early as level 83.
“What the hell?! It’s way too soon for this! We are NOT ready!”
And then, in you go…
I’m currently going my first play through of Endwalker and got to this part a couple of things went through my mind
Why is Zodiark the first trial of Endwalker?
Why is this music going so hard?
OH GOD WTF AM I GONNA FACE AND THE END?
Doing this fight day 1 was everyone in partychat saying wtf lmao
THERE ARE LYRICS?!?!?! ENGLISH LYRICS?!?!?!?!
It is in english, but there are no official lyrics.
Nope, the vocals are all made up, if there were lyrics we would have the official lyrics by now
@@Mewla_Aliapoh Next you're going to tell me "big fat taco, so big fat taco, so biiiig" is not what they actually sing in Weapons fights?
Believe it's a Japanese choir singing in English
No, those are misheard lyrics lol
I don’t care if these aren’t the official lyrics, “let the chorus of hope take all” is such a raw line
I remember back when this was still new stuff, and it was fantastic! After so many years hearing about Zodiark, this was perfect, right from Fandaniel onward. The battle theme was exhilarating and heroic, perfect tone for the Scions confronting their (they think) enemy number one.
Fighting anima at level 83 dungeon “wait this is a dungeon boss?”
Level 83 trial
“Wait this is happening already?”
Aite yoshi P you got me good.
FOR THE INNER VOICE OF THE DARK ONE!
It’s pretty cool that players got to fight the greater scope villain of the first saga in Final Fantasy XIV with this theme.
The lyrics make it more of a tragic moment, as the very thing made from half this people we spent time trying to understand in which they poured all their hopes of salvation is actually taken over by one who incarnates the direct consequences of what they were blind to and would have destroyed them sooner or later in another form... Poetry
I dont care that the lyrics aren't official, this version of them hits so hard
Me, who assumed they were latin lyrics: "wait they were english lyrics all along!?!?"
Soken in an astronaut suit holding a gun behind me: "Always has been"
Yep, they just threw lyrics in a blender program and the music worked around it
If i recall soken said he prefers english rather than latin could be wrong though.
It's not any language, the words are all made up

From the community that brought you "Chicken tenders, ready to fry" from a song with actual lyrics. We bring you fitting serious lyrics from a song that officially has no lyrics. (Them copy pasting the Endwalker lyrics 'forge ahead' and applying them to Endcaller orchestral version doesn't count)
I guess you are not a fan of opera, and just think there are no lyrics, just a heavyset woman making nonsensical noises.
Just finished the 1st half of Endwalker, and i must say I was completely shocked that i faced Zodiark halfway into the expansion, I was like "Shouldn't this be a final boss?!"
Thats now one of my absolute favorites
I always assumed this song was sung in ancient like Invincible is.
invincible actually has official lyrics if you look them up!
@@zenosyaegalvus yes, and they are sung in ancient.
@@zenosyaegalvus technically it’s got it’s official lyrics and the live lyrics meant to be sung by actual people, but originally the song does not have the english/latin as sung live!

I love how the lyrics sound like the most generic bad guy theme in existence, without the context we now have from the story.
Tbh I like these lyrics better than the official ones.
These make more sense to me.
And leads me to believe that the original intent was for the lyrics to be gibberish.
Because the official lyrics just seem like random words thrown together.
Others: how do you play the game without HUD
you: HUD is for the weak
Zodiark, the worlds true one winged angel.
When I was in high school I used to be capable of doing quadratic equations in my head but could just never do geometry so imagine my fun reaction to the arena spinning lol I’m an adult now and doing this fight felt like an absolutely epic geometry quiz 😂 I was the healer too so I wasn’t popular with my group 🤣 when you’re in the moment and absorbed into keeping people alive it can get really difficult to focus on what the arena is doing. To this day I don’t understand the damn constellation mechanic. I absolutely dread the day I get this trial in roulette
just remember it how i do: pancake press
Been wondering for a while if these were lyrics or gibberish. This strengthens the case for me that they're lyrics.
Also, any plans to take a stab at White Stone Black lyrics soon?
If they were lyrics we would have the official lyrics by now
I'll probably wait for the official lyrics of White Stone Black...hopefully we'll clear P8S soon so I'll have footage. Also kinda hard to make the lyrics out as the song is muffled AF
The balls. The absolute balls to make Zodiark. The villain that has been built since ARR. and to make him the 83 trial. NOT EVEN 50% of the way through the story… Yoshi P you are a mad man
There may be official lyrics for the orchestral version now, but these lyrics right here feel way more fitting for this fight.
4:23 F in the chat for that ranged DPS.

THE END HAS COME! AND IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL!
Endcaller isn't done by Soken, it's done by Yoshitaka Suzuki.
Oh. I should've double-checked. I just put in Soken since that's what it says in Apple Music.
@@hungrychad Not your fault! SE has a weird habit of just crediting everything to Soken which just makes me feel bad for everyone else that works on the music. VGMDB always has a pretty extensive and detailed list of full credits per album :)
Soken undergoing Chemo was just a cover. What really happened is that he composed Endcaller and the sheer might of the song burned the cancer out of him. XD (Misshapen Chair joke
I love the thumbnail with the background who "complete" his missing wing
WILL YOU LIVE TO SEE THE END
Getting to this bit and realizing Zodiark is the first trial was the moment I realized I was in for some crazy shit
No way Zodiark didn't flinch after seeing that chicken fish get summoned in
Holy crap... These lyrics, they make so much sense if you know the story of Zodiark O.O
The emotional damage is real
Ah yes, the theme of Phil Spencer.
When Zodiark was the level 83 fight and not the final boss, I knew we were in for some story.
And man, what a story we got.
i want it to be play in my funeral
Just got back from Eorzean Symphony 2023 after hearing this live. Fucking amazing
I just love these raids songs and it makes a far greater impact in my game experience than I could tell. Even today I see myself chanting some of the SB raid bosses...
but honestly, I couldnt understand the lyric at all untill I read it lol
Thanks to BeneG's Graphics update video, I can't take this theme seriously anymore. lol
Epic-sounding intro leading into porting the WoLs in... first character I see is Namazu mask guy
I just finished it, EndWalker is really beautiful
I think I saw this lyrics posted over a year ago or early this year in reddit. Although I know there's no official lyrics for this song, I'm still glad you made this vid. I could now sing along with the gibberish 🤌
I know that there are "official lyrics" now. But this, these are the lyrics to me.
Commented this under another, I know it's gibberish but I just found this so perfect.
The dark mirror of
"Hail the darkness hidden inside, hidden in all of you On wings of faith, your rise up through the night. Our Lord Zodiark Carry on our home. All of us knew, our perfect world let the chorus of hope take all"
Matches so perfectly with the part I refer to as Endwalkers unofficial/Sharlayan theme from the intro aka the
"Our song of hope, she dances on the wind. Higher, oh higher. E'er our vows endure and remain forever strong. Standing tall in the dark do we carry on. On wings of hope, you rise up through the night, Higher, oh higher. Carrying our song. Cradled fast within your arms. That it's chorus might ring for all.
The EW intro then transitioning into Shadowbringers with:
"One brings shadow, one brings the light, two toned-echoes tumbling through time. Tumbling down to the never"
Brings it to its conclusion.
"AT LAST, I AM BECOME ZODIARK!"
The more you know about zodiark, the more you realize why this theme is so epic, this is a fight between heroes.
is no one going to mention the red mage at 1:57? that fish-dude head + chicken suit combo is just straight up endgame ERP.

If there were many rejoinings; does that mean the Zodiark we confront in Ivalice is another iteration of this same Zodiark?
1:56 that piano
I really want a minstrel's ballad of a complete zodiark, it'd be fantastic lol
Ah yes. The themesong of "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS THE LEVEL 83 TRIAL"
I love telling first-timers, "Congratulations! You beat Endwalker!" after the duty completes. Just adds to the dawning horror that no, no, you still have seven levels of MSQ to go...
I like how this uses some elements of the ff1 battle theme
No zodiark voice lines?! The music is so much better with his lines :c
Can find one with those?
