I have a ps5 with a 4k 120 hz Sony tv and it doesn’t feel smooth at all the frames drop and gets lagging whenever you do a perfect dodge or whenever enemies attack the frames just drop, the red brad had to use something to boost his frames and something to help with dark area so the game played better. This shit is damn near unplayable and would be so much better if it had better frames

Normally you would be right. But they used frame generation to "mimic" 60fps while it is in fact still 30. But they have to further compromise on visuals to do so.
No they should let the quality mode unlocked for ps6 backward compactibility, but they could add an extra box in the option with "Locked Framerate"like infamous second son did or elden ring

This game uses frame generation meaning there's a pretty bad input lag at times or just completely ignored imputs that your console just doesn't register.

It deletes save progress on PS5. Was lvl 32-35 almost finished in chapter 2 just to load back up and see I’m back at level 17 and at the final chapter 1 boss/vendor. Everything after that has been deleted.
People are complaining that it dipped to 45 at one point in the performance mode but if I remember well, Elden Ring performs much worse than this, can't really ever achieve stable 60 in any parts of the map, stutters way below 45 quite frequently and doesn't look as good as this game either. My point isn't to compare both games, it's to say that people still enjoyed Elden Ring a lot despite it performing quite badly, especially on the PS5.

The balanced mode in this game is nothing like Stellar Blade. Trust me, it’s bad. Better off just going performance, which you’ll still get framerate dips. Graphics wise, this thing is shot unless you like to play 30 fps and below. High end PC would be your best bet for visuals right now.
I’ll say this, playing it on ps5 in performance mode is the best option, however when you get into fighting some bosses that have a lot of projectiles or that interact with the environment a lot the console suffers. Frame drops and the sharpness of the graphics is annoying to say the least. Personal opinion; the game is “playable” but I’ve not been able to enjoy the combat when it starts to get “crowded” building a gaming PC at the moment so hoping to be done soon
💯 I need the 30fps mode to be a Locked 30fps with no frame pacing issues. Might wait and get the PS5 Pro version if they can’t fix it. Performance Mode resolution is too low for me. Especially on a bigger screen.

Ive been playing on balanced the whole time, the frames do dip, however it doesnt go past 40fps i noticed. Turn motion blur off or set it to weak will help sooo much, i kept it at weak, cuz motion blur does make stuff look more real. Granted ur playing a game so turn it off if u dont care. I do a lil so weak is fine.

I have a good TV other players may play on shit TVs so there is a diffrence between a 4000eu TV and a 600 eu for example and thats it.

But the frame rate drops decreased some what the more I progresses. I mean it's still there in some heavy cut scenes but not too much. The main issue for me now is the input lag. For example I am fighting the final boss erlang and I am doing some dodges and atks in the middle and suddenly you press the dodge button to dodge but it doesn't work or trying to heal in low health but again the button doesn't work. It takes away the flow of the combat you are having and makes you more frustrated. The game is good but they definitely need to fix the input lag. It makes the easy fights also difficult.

I will admit I never confirmed if the sources were valid I just believed ChatGPT. I did suspect it was 1440p 60FPS because that’s generally what performance mode provides by default.
i dont think it changes in quality mode, it doesnt have real time reflections either, from what i saw my friend screenshared, 3 of us agreed the lighting could be better and game is abit dark and should be brighter
@@votpavel Reflections are the least important part of ray tracing, the most important thing is RT shadows and lighting, which give the scene a realistic look. I bought the game and checked it out and in graphics mode the game looks awesome, whether it's RT I don't know, but it looks great.
quality mode looks a mess with all that frametime going bananas... Balance mode makes absolutely no sense... why the hell didnt they lock it at 40 fps? Like most devs do. 120hz 40 fps. Again look at the damn frametime... its a joke. Performance mode is the only way to go atm but even that has significant framedrops outside the VRR range the moment effects are appearing on screen... This is timed exclusive digital only game from Sony Store. I guarantee you by xmas, price won't drop more than $10-$15 at most. You'll be waiting a long time. Might as well just wait for a couple patches and buy it sooner rather than later and enjoy it. I caertainly wouldn't be waiting 6+ months to save $10. If this was a third party straight out the gate physical game, yes, price would go on sale much sooner.

Great game, looks amazing. Plays amazing, even better story. i just can't stand the voice acting and some of the choppy animations and cinematics, plenty of releases earlier than this were able to fix clothing and Armour clipping

Looks like Quality Mode runs at an Unlocked framerate so when PS5 Pro comes out it should right off the bat run at 4K60 hopefully even without a patch!
Well, a 3060ti can run this game at 60 with a high preset. The PS5 is between 3060 and 3070. It's still very impressive for a developers first game, though.

Quality mode seems to have the same thing Witcher 3 had on Xbox one at launch. 30-35 fps so the frame pacing is all over the place.

Performance mode is the only way to go atm but even that has significant framedrops outside the VRR range the moment effects are appearing on screen...
This unfortunately needs work...
Well said..im enjoying performance mode but it's far from perfect...unfortunately another title that will be really good to play 6 months post launch..this the state of AAA gaming these days.
As an old school player i can tell you that we give a sh**t about that.
We played an enjoyed a game without get our feelings hurts by some FPS less in the screen.

I myself, do care about performance. I dont count pixels that much but performance is and will forever be a must for me. Framedrops simply break the immersion for me.

Also Performance mode on 30 fps is nothing but biased elitist bs. Even Black Myth is mostly fine. I dont like the drops there at the moment but nothing a patch cant fix like it has happened numerous times. Also, calling the PC port impecable is delusional as well. You may watch Digital Foundry assessment of the PC version. There are issues as well there.

This is timed exclusive digital only game from Sony Store. I guarantee you by xmas, price won't drop more than $10-$15 at most. You'll be waiting a long time. Might as well just wait for a couple patches and buy it sooner rather than later and enjoy it. I caertainly wouldn't be waiting 6+ months to save $10. If this was a third party straight out the gate physical game, yes, price would go on sale much sooner.

Tbh I just played the game tonight, and I’ll say that’s a good idea. I feel like I got the switch version of this game. Fun game overall, but perfoand graphics is all over the place.

Great game, looks amazing. Plays amazing, even better story. i just can't stand the voice acting and some of the choppy animations and cinematics, plenty of releases earlier than this were able to fix clothing and Armour clipping

When extreme upscaling is used is hard to calculate resolution. Also dynamic resolution doesn’t help in this matter.

Well, a 3060ti can run this game at 60 with a high preset. The PS5 is between 3060 and 3070. It's still very impressive for a developers first game, though.

@@SimonHendry-w5xNobody has said this about PS5 yet. Also, there are just as many people who've said they experienced little to no issues past chapter 2 as there are that have. I can recommend 5 reviews where they say they'd heard about the issues and have experienced none of them. As per usual, PC specs are hard to optimize for because everyone's PC is different.
